The best place i've ever been!! Absolutely amazing from the second we got there to the second we left. Before I talk about the staff I'll mention the island itself, it's gorgeous! Clean, beautifully landscaped, stunning beaches and loads of sea life, I went snorkelling outside the villa and swam with a turtle! There are sting rays, loads of fish and reef sharks. The island isn't huge, so you can walk everywhere, but not too small that it feels crowded and there's plenty to do from snorkelling, tennis, padel, table tennis cruises to full relaxation in the spa. If you get chance to go on the sunset cruise to see the dolphins, go go go!! Unbelievable, what an emotional and heart warming experience that was, literally hundreds swimming alongside the boat, spinning in the air and putting on a show. Also snorkelling with the turtles was a great experience, they're huge! All the restaurants are fabulous and the food delicious! There is an extra charge for the underwater restaurant and the teppanyaki but worth it but if you want to stick to all inclusive there's plenty of choice too.
The rooms are lovely, equipped with everything you could possibly need, beach towels, sun cream, glasses cleaning cloths, life jackets, even rain coats if it does happen to rain! I also don't think it's a coincidence that our room was cleaned and set for the day by the time we got back from breakfast, every day without fail, Irey was a star!!
That brings me on the rest of the gorgeous people who work at Hurawahli! Firstly we were greeted by the resort manager, Akira, and host, Yum - a huge thanks to both of them for making our introduction to the resort a memorable one. Yum made it so easy for us, booking our restaurants and activities and helping us with whatever we needed throughout our stay.
Special mentions go out to Dilan, Casmir, Uli and the rest of the bar staff - wow you guys made our stay, you're so genuine and warm and amazing at your jobs! You learned own names on day one and never forgot them, every time you greeted us like old friends, you made it such a special experience. I'll miss you guys and your wonderful Harvest Moons! Also to all the lovely people in the restaurants! Conrad & Harry (2 wonderful Sommeliers), Salaam, Hussain, I think his name is Areef (apologies if I got that wrong, we never spoke but I noticed him every day quietly clearing plates etc) and Farook and Muragan, 2 chefs who among others, made our breakfast, lunches and dinners the best, thank you!! Honestly, these are only the ones whose names I can remember, every single one made our holiday the best ever.
Everyone was super friendly, so unassuming and professional with the most incredible work ethic, all there to make sure you have the most wonderful experience. The level of service was exceptional, there exactly when you needed them with whatever you wanted and the rest of the time busy creating wonderful experiences for everyone else!
All in all an unbelievable holiday, would 100% go again.

My partner and I went to Hurawalhi resort where I was lucky enough to propose to her, and she said Yes! Ali (our Island host) made the holiday an absolutely relaxing and incredible experience. Dustin (resort manager) cared for his people and was always open to a chat Shaad (restaurant waiter) kept our drinks full and our table clean every meal.
The entire holiday was perfect from the ease to setting up our arrival through to us being able to experience 2 different room types, all the way through to every meal we ate and tour we went on.
We stayed in a Sunset pool villa first of all which is invaluable if you love a late swim as the pool closes at 7pm. Then we moved into a Romantic Ocean villa (our original choice) as we both wanted to lie in the hammock and experience an outdoor bath (in privacy) Both were beautiful rooms and we enjoyed waking up at 0730 every morning and going out for a snorkel (all gear including flippers provided!)
5.8 Underwater restaurant is a 100% Must and I recommend this to everyone who goes out to Hurawalhi.
We went for a private 2 hours at dream island where I popped the question and even this was above my expectation with a bottle of champagne on ice, some cold beers in an esky and the setup was gorgeous.
I found nothing in the resort that I didn't like and there wasn't 1 minute of the holiday myself or my (now) fiancé didn't enjoy.
Thank you to the entire team for making our stay unique and special in every way. We will be returning in the future without a doubt (maybe a honeymoon trip?)

My husband and I recently stayed for 4 nights. We booked an ocean villa and were upgraded to an ocean pool villa. The villa was gorgeous with a stocked mini bar (we purchased the all inclusive package). We arrived early morning and were able to get into our room immediately which was much appreciated as we were exhausted from the long trip). The staff were amazing and I was very impressed by the food and drink quality and selection. We did the sunset dolphin cruise, 2 manta ray snorkeling adventures, a fishing trip and a guided snorkel with the marine biologist - all highly recommended activities. We also got a spa treatment which was also amazing. All staff wore masks and there was plenty of hand sanitizer available for use. We felt safe and comfortable. We departed at 4 pm (seaplane/transfers all arranged for us by the resort) and were able to stay in our room until departure as well. We had an amazing time and hope to come back next year!

This was definitely a trip of a lifetime and there is nothing we would have changed about it. From the second we picked up our bags at the airport to the point we were dropped back off it was a seamless experience and every little detail was taken care of. We were welcomed by our very pleasant and attentive host Akan who made the stay at the hotel fantastic and took care of every detail and experience making sure our stay is optimized and we make the most out of it. The food was unbelievable, from a la carte breakfast at Canelli to Undersea 5.8 dinner. The staff is attentive, friendly and make you feel like you are royalty. Their wine list is the best in Maldives, this is not an understatement. The room was just beautiful and impeccable, so clean and so well stocked. Our room attendants always cleaned and fixed the room for us every minute we stepped out and we always came back to tidy room, restocked mini bar, fresh water, fresh towels and perfectly made bed. The island is beautiful and pristine, the reef was fantastic we snorkelers daily and saw lots of fish, the water is obviously crystal clear and we like that it wasn't too deep off the villa which allowed for an easy entry. Some resorts we stayed at have deep water and it makes it hard to get in and enjoy.
Don't even think twice about going- GO and it will be an experience of a lifetime!!!

This place is absolute paradise on earth. The service, the hospitality, the ambience is the best I have ever seen. The staff dexterously balances between giving world class service and giving privacy as well. The food is exceptional, I am not sure how the island maintains such high food standards being in the middle of nowhere. There are beautiful corals not 20 meters away from the reception and the waters calm and clean. In their feedback form, they asked if they could improve anything and I thought hard for 5minutes but could not think of anything. Literally nothing. The price is somewhat steep but once you are there it would all make sense.

WOW!!!! I don’t even know where to start. Hurawalhi is easily the most stunning place we have ever visited. From the minute we arrived at the lounge and were greeted so attentively, we knew it was going to be an amazing 2 weeks. Our island host Ali is absolutely incredible! Anyone who gets him are so lucky, he is so friendly and very attentive and always there just when you need him. The overwater pool villas are amazing!! The pool is big enough you can stay there all day, the room is cleaned so well and cleaned the minute you leave the room for breakfast so you can arrive straight back for a day in the villa without being interrupted. The minibar choice is unreal! The food - WOWWWW, everything we ate was amazing! They are so aware of dietary requirements too, I am gluten free and it was so easy! Everything is labelled and the chef will also make things specially (bread for the table became rice crackers etc!) never have I been somewhere and felt so accommodated for! The buffet wasn’t open when we were there due to low resort capacity but we can’t wait to come back when it will be open as everyone was saying how amazing it is. Every single member of staff knew our names by day 2 and were all so friendly, we felt honestly felt like we were at home while being there. The staff keep it all so clean and were wearing masks at all times and we felt so safe being there. The staff honestly made our trip, a special shout out to Ali (island host), Lalith, Dilan & Nahid at Coco Bar, Azzam at Canelli & Rippe at 5.8 - all incredible! But so were all members of staff!

This place is magical and all the staff are just as amazing as the property itself.
We stayed on our honeymoon in an over water bungalow with a pool for one week. We are an extremely active couple and the thought crossed our minds that we may be a little restless at a small resort in the middle of the Indian Ocean... we were wrong! There is so much to do and so much to see that we were never bored, not for one moment, although we also had our fair share of relaxing and leisure. It was the perfect mix. Our house attendant was awesome and provided us with a full blown itinerary that was immediately accessible via the mobile app. It was very easy to make changes and they were flexible when we wanted to move something around, although the resort was not at capacity. We were very impressed on how many activities were included in the all-inclusive package.
The Dream Island experience was very cool, we brought some champagne from our room since the staff is not technically allowed to take any alcohol off the island (Maldives are a dry country). Very awesome, we saw some sting ray hanging out on the reef at the island too. Bring sunscreen out there! The heat is no-joke.
The underwater restaurant was very cool and possibly the highlight of the trip. We did the late lunch sitting, which was perfect for us. Go early to check in! You can get a drink at the Japanese Restaurant bar and try to be the first ones into the room. Shoes are not allowed in the restaurant so you are asked to take them off at the top of the stairs. They go through a quick presentation about how the restaurant was built and fun facts about it. If you are the first ones in, try to be as close to the steps as you can. That way, when the presentation is over, you are the first ones to head down. The table selections are based on a first come, first serve basis, so you will have the first choice of tables. The farthest table from the entrance on the left is the best in my opinion... its right by a reef so lots of fishies. The food was great! The only negative to our experience was that some of the other guests HAD to video and narrate their entire experience LOUDLY which took away from ours, but there is nothing you can really do about that. Many people that were in our sitting were very rudely taking photos over our table, but again, nothing you can really do about it. Just try to be mindful of others while you are photographing your experience.
The room was incredible! If you want to soak in a tub, dont do the pool room. The tubs are only in the rooms with the net over the ocean, but really you cant go wrong!
The food in the main restaurant is to die for! Get to know the staff and chefs, they are all incredible!
Nabeel is super awesome. He does alot of the water sports and heads up alot of the snorkeling and sea adventures, you will not be disappointing if you get to know him! Super awesome guy and we will remember him for a long time. Naveen is also super cool! His fitness classes are great and he is very passionate about wellness. Get to know him!
All around great experience! Plus ADULT ONLY! Doesn't get much better than that!

My trip to the Maldives and to Hurawalhi was the most impulsive and rewarding trip I have ever taken as a solo traveler! I was perusing accommodations on Booking.com and knew I wanted to stay someplace that had over water villas (if you’re going to the Maldives, this is an absolute must!). I then decided to book Hurawalhi after realizing that they had the restaurant I’ve had bookmarked for years, 5.8 Undersea Restaurant! I felt like this was meant to be!
Upon arrival, I was greeted by my island host Riho. She was wonderful and made me feel so welcome (especially after the horrible time I had getting through customs). She gave me a tour of the resort, along with providing information along the way.
Hurawalhi has an app where you can book all of your meals and excursions. Since I logged in fairly late, I wasn’t able to book some excursions as they filled up. You can also view all of the restaurant menus within the app. I loved this as I think it is a more sanitary way of sharing menus with guests.
Temperature was taken every morning at breakfast at Canneli (which was included in my booking). Each of the restaurants offers outdoor dining so you can enjoy the beauty of the Maldives. Restaurant staff were always so welcoming and friendly (shout out to Ramesh and Lalith!) and I always looked forward to seeing them to say hello.
Buggy service is offered until 9pm - all you need to do is message your island host and say where you need to be! However, you can also walk around and enjoy on foot.
My villa was so amazing that I realized I spent so much more time there than I anticipated I would! I had a hammock over the water, and I could watch the many fish swimming below me. The tv/entertainment center was top notch - the selection of movies to watch was extensive, and it gave me something to do in the evenings when it was already dark outside.
I can probably go on and on about this amazing stay, but I’ll end it here. I’m so glad that I booked a stay at Hurawalhi, and I hope to come back again and bring my parents next time!

My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon at Hurawalhi resort and we experienced our best vacation yet! We have both been all over the world, but never experienced anything like being at Hurawalhi. Once you step off the speed boat you are greeted with drums and your island host, making you feel like a VIP. We stayed in the ocean pool villa. The room was beautiful , modern , and was always kept so clean. Housekeeping came twice a day and made us feel very special with the messages they left on our beds. The food was prepared with love at every meal and the service was amazing! Every staff member knew our name. The bartender even created a special drink in my name( “ the Phoenix cooler” )based on my drink of choice, thanks Kashmir! The attention to detail of the staff made our stay perfect and a dream for a honeymoon. We definitely recommend all couples eat at 5.8 for dinner, a couples massage and breakfast in the pool( OMG)! Special thanks to the following staff for making our stay extra special! Please ask for these employees when visiting the bar, at breakfast or 5.8. Tell them “ Phoenix” sent you! They will not disappoint and make sure your stay is that much better, I promise. Shoutout to some of our favorite and best staff in our opinion…… Saam(server), Madushanka (Fruit Station),Khrismi (Host), Kashmir( Bartender), Ramesh (server), Mita (server), Azzam (server) and Welson (server).
Lastly, huge praise and thanks to our host, and now new friend Yum. We highly recommend calling ahead and personally requesting her to be your host. OMG, she was such a life saver. From providing transportation to any and every place we needed to go on the island. Answering our text and calls after hours , to coordinating all our events, surprising us with gifts for being on our honeymoon and just thinking of things we hadn’t even thought we wanted or needed. Our honeymoon was enhanced because of the presence and professionalism of Yum! She is a true rockstar and the resort is lucky to have her.

We were sent here as a result of the shutdown of Kuredu, how lucky were we! This resort is just stunning, we were shown to our villa which was an over water villa, the views were stunning. The room was second to none complete with wine cooler, mini bar, outside bath, a hammock that overhung the ocean everything we wanted and more. The room was very, very spacious a huge very comfortable bed and a walk in wet room, I don’t know where to stop, this place just kept giving. Any spirits, wine or beers taken from the cooler or fridge were replaced daily together with any chocolate (I loved the Bounty bars!!) all this was inclusive,we also received a welcoming bottle of Tattinger champagne on arrival together with a beautiful bowl of fruit (this was also replaced daily)
Our resort host was Anif he was there for us at any time of the night or day, he was very helpful and an all round professional, nice guy, thank you Anif for making our stay so perfect. Our room boy was Adhey he was amazing nothing was too much trouble for him, so polite and again professional I am sure you are an asset to the resort.
We met Dustin the Manager most days during our stay, what a genuine nice guy he stopped and chatted and we had many laughs with him, I’m sure he will remember my husband banging his leg on the marble water fountain in the restaurant! That was cause for many laughs. But seriously we would like to thank him for assisting in getting him bandaged up, no serious damage caused.
Our restaurant host was Munday, he looked after us at all meal times he even gave me the recipe for the coconut sponge which I so enjoyed whilst we were there, on the evenings that there was no coconut sponge he would go to the kitchen and bring some out for me, thanks Munday your a star and thank you for looking after us so well. The choice of food was amazing so many wonderful dishes, the chefs on the live cooking stations were second to none and really did serve up some really spectacular dishes, we really were spoilt for choice, thank you to all the chefs.
My husband snorkelled everyday and sometimes twice a day, he enjoyed every trip and saw some amazing fish everything from sharks to turtles.
All in all a fabulous holiday and would highly recommend this little piece of heaven to anyone, we will never forget this holiday, we really did not want to leave 3 days early because of flight disruptions as a result of Covid19, but at least we were lucky enough to have had the majority of our holiday. We will return to this paradise island in the future .
There was evening entertainment every night which was very good, the Maldivian night was very good entertainment.
This is an adult Only Island and if you are looking for loud disco type music this is not for you, the mood here is very relaxed and chilled with talented singers and musicians playing it was just perfect for enjoying your after dinner drinks, just can’t fault it, but hopefully you have gathered from all of this that we found it a truely amazing holiday. THANKS again to all of you for making our stay so memorable.

I don’t know because we didn’t order room service. But based on how great service was overall, I’d say almost certainly, yes. If it’s important, obviously give them a shout before you book. The concierge service was really good about answering email inquiries.
The seaplane is scheduled through the resort based on your arrival/departure time into and out of Male. The last seaplane leaves around 3pm so keep that in mind when booking your flights through Male.
There are more places to choose from in the Hurawalhi area.
