Our stay was in August 2020. We had been to this hotel in 2013, before having kids, and had really enjoyed our stay back then. Our booking this time was made 24 hours before we arrived due to all the uncertainty during this time. Anna arranged everything- the room, car rental, 24 hours before! She couldn’t have been more helpful and during our stay was always friendly and available for advice on beaches and surrounding area etc. Bernardo and Dario at the restaurant were amazing- so helpful and kind to our kids- thank you so much. The room was great with a massive bed and lovely view of the pool and the coast. The air conditioning in the room worked well. We stayed in a family room- our two young daughters slept on a pull out double sofa bed. We stayed half board, the breakfasts were delicious- eggs, bacon, juice, coffee, and a large basket of rolls and gorgeous pastries including the traditional Portuguese custard tart. The surrounding gardens in the morning were exceptionally beautiful. Our kids are 4 and 6 and loved the pool and gardens. The dinners with half board were salads, soups, fish or meat with sides and dessert which we really enjoyed. We made some trips to the beaches and towns but it was so lovely lazing around the pool, we’ll explore more in the future. All in all we can’t wait to return to this hotel and wish to thank all the staff for such an amazing holiday. Mark McAllister.

The spa is not very big but has a great therapist, Graca! Really, you MUST book a massage or facial with her as she has a lot of experience and knowledge and is very very sweet. I did 3 different treatment ( a package deal) and loved it! Graca is a very wise person, who studied many years in Asia and works very mindful and holistic.

Just come back from a 3 night stay at this hotel. To be honest, we were underwelmed. My fault when I booked, I didn't realise it was so far from Carveiro. You def need a car or you are stuffed. We could not book in to eat at the hotel in the evening, always full. Think they were only catering for half board and that was it. In our favour we ate at the Brasserie Rosal, which was superb and we probably wouldn't have known about. We didn't have a car, so we had to rely on Ubers. It did force us to rest though and that is what we went there for. Our room was clean and modern. The staff were polite but not particularly friendly, I think they were run off there feet. The hotel was expensive for it's location. Would not stay there again.

Just came here for a 3 night stay to do trekking of the 7 suspended valleys and to explore some of the beaches... Huge disappointment, the hotel is far away from everything, me being alone without a car, can’t really be worse, thought I could manage walking to the beach but the road to take U there is not good and safe ... so don’t forget your tooth brush or to book your evening meal at the restaurant otherwise you won’t eat ... But the worse is the gym, my god never seen such poor equipment, for ex only 1 5kg kettlebell ... no comment ... Tv channels are also very poor, only information no movies or music, really boring, glad I brought my computer... breakfast and room are average... only put 2 stars because of some of the staff that are nice and that’s it Not a memorable stay, quiet happy to leave and go back to Quinta do lago, got a cheaper deal there can you imagine ... very expensive for what it provides Won’t be back...

We stayed in this hotel for one night in August. The setting is lovely and the landscaped gardens are beautiful; the breakfast is also great considering COVID restrictions. It definitely felt like a family hotel and the pool was splashy and shallow so not the best for two adults. The interior is slightly dated but doesn’t look too tired. Bed was the standout attraction, huge with a duvet and very comfortable pillows.
