This is not your typical hotel, it feels more like an upscale villa. It is true that the lobby looks not really inviting, but they were friendly and the welcome drink was a very nice touch. I booked seaview and we got a pretty room with a huge terrace ( loungers and table with chairs). I just want to address briefly the reviews mentioning there is no real seaview: The ocean is close, but there are trees in between and the hotel is also not next to the beach ( just look it first up on google). I really liked the view over the pool and in the distance the ocean. Unfortunately, there is a street in between, but I wasn't really bothered by it. The beach is very close though ( max 10 min walking) and Caneiros beach is just beautiful. I loved being there. Already because of the beach I can recommend staying in here for some days. The room itself was an upscale hotel room with a very comfortable bed. Im glad I booked the seaview room because some garden views are facing the street. At that time there weren't many hotel guests there, so in the morning it was never a problem to get a table on the terrace. In my opinion, they offer everything for breakfast possible. The daily fruit platter was great and you can also order different eggs and pancakes. The coffee was good too. A downside for me were the long halls ( you can hear people walking etc) and doors closing was quite noisy, but thats complaining on a high level. The pool is unfortunately not heated. But overall, if you get a good rate, I can totally recommend staying here a some days.…
Not sure why this place describes itself as 'Luxury' when clearly its not. I should have read the review on this site from a year ago complaining how the 'sea view' room has a very minimal view of the sea. I paid extra for a sea view room and I would agree. Its quite misleading for them to advertise it as such. My view was mainly of a line of parked cars below me and a patch of grass, it did not even look over the pool. Speaking of the pool, as the chairs/ umbrellas are only on 2 sides there was not really enough room when many guests wanted to use the pool at the same time. The breakfast room /bar / reception area seemed to be styled like an airport executive lounge. It seemed a bit 'sterile'. My room was at the end of a long corridor and as there was no carpet or wall decoration it also seemed devoid of any character. The noise tended to echo along it when someone walked down it. Providing a coffee machine in the room and then charging for the coffee if people use it seemed outrageous to me, especially given how high the room rate was. There was no bathrobe. The connecting door to the next room meant I could hear everything the other guests were saying and doing. Some things i did not want to hear.... There was no information in the room, eg about the timing and price for the morning and afternoon use of the beach loungers (under the same ownership but you have to pay extra for this.) You get the idea....for those that have been to real luxury, this will be disappointing. Staff were friendly though and breakfast was a generous size.…
This hotel is just sublime! Wonderfully clean with lovely staff, yummy breakfast and lunch too. The pool is so blue and looks over the landscape, it really feels like a piece of paradise. Thank you to Luis and his great staff for making us feel so welcome yet safe (due to their masking and diligence of keeping all of the surfaces & loungers wiped down and safe). 5 stars!
From the moment we arrived we loved everything about this unique place. The staff are so friendly they make you feel right at home. The room had fabulous views and was so beautiful! During Covid times I find it so important to be confident that the places I’m visiting are clean and well looked after. I felt amazing here, masks and antibacterial gel were provided, I could see the staff cleaning chairs at the pool once people left, and wearing masks at all times around the facilities. Everything was just perfect. The breakfast is delicious, from fresh fruit to delicious pastries to some eggs made just how I ordered them! It was perfect. The walk down to the beach is so short yet fabulous. If you visit this place be ready to be received by smiling faces and enjoy the beautiful views and facilities. …
What a great place! Of course this is on a high price point but it worth it as it worth it's luxury name. We stayed there 4 days and we enjoyed it. The pool is incredible and the hotel is very well maintained. The service is perfect and personnalized. We also really enjoyed the location but you definitly need a car. I can`t find any negative element to raise for this stay. As I said, it just worth a try if you never been there, we definitly recommend.
