We've stayed at Le Sechoir de Creneuf few times now and wish always wish we could stay longer. Christian and Catherine provide a wonderful welcome and stay. Plus the dinner is really excellent every time. They both speak excellent English and happily translate other conversation for you into English - so if 'table d'hote' dinner is a bit scary for... We stayed here for two nights while visiting friends in the area. The Sechoir is a beautiful old house, situated secluded in a forest. Totally silent except for sounds of nature, we slept so good in the comfortable beds. The hosts Christian and Catherine were so very friendly, hospitable, helpful and gave a lot of advice for local tourism. They... More

We had read good reviews of this B&B and we were not dissappointed. We really were made to feel part of the family and the food would not have been out of place in a top class restaurant. Interesting selection of aperitifs and exotic jams. Lovely old building in a quiet location with pleasant garden. Fabulous views from neighbouring hills.

On our recent trip to Belgium and France, we stayed at four different B&B's. While all were enjoyable stays in their own ways, if I had to rank them, this place was at least tied for first place, if not on top. The hosts were very friendly, and after having to survive on my meager French over the last eight... More

The hosts, Christian and Catherine, could not have been more welcoming and gracious. And Catherine is an excellent cook! In over 40 years of traveling I have never had such a delightful combination of scenery, hospitality, delicious food, and comfortable sleep as I experienced on the two nights I spent there. Without a doubt the highlight of my week on... More

Had a brilliant 2 night stop with Catherine and Christian. If I ever ran a B&B I would hope to model the service of these wonderful people. Christian summed up our needs in a matter of moments and prepared mud maps for our exploring of the area - went over maps with us etc. He was always there just when... More

We stayed for 3 nights at Le Sechoir de Crenuef, doing some cycling and exploring in the area, at the beginning of our holiday. We found it a fabulous place to stay and a great location on our route south. We were given a very warm welcome from Christian and Catherine, and enjoyed some delicious meals around the table sharing... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Le Sechoir de Creneuf. We stayed there as part of a foodie holiday in France and Italy. We were specifically focusing on places that offer table d'hotes. We found the food at breakfast and in the evening to be delicious homely French food. We enjoyed sitting down with our hosts and their family (their... More

This beautiful old farmhouse is stunningly situated in the hills overlooking the Vercors. Relaxed, peaceful, charming, my family and I were made to feel wonderfully welcome. The farmhouse is a wonderful old building and our rooms were comfortable and cool in the summer heat. The gardens are lovely just for sitting and listening to the silence, although there was no... My husband and I spent 7 wonderful nights with Catherine and Christian, thoroughly enjoying the tranquillity of the renovated farmhouse and the easy, friendly conversation (French/English) whilst dining for the deliciously- and lovingly-prepared home cooked meals at the 'host table' (table d'hôte). We greatly appreciated the garden-fresh vegetables, home-made preserves and 'walnut wine', among the scrumptious fresh fruit pies and... More
