We stayed 6 nights with Philippa. Bird watching was the prime reason we opted to say at La Rassada, but we experienced much more and learned a great deal about the Languedoc region. Philippa arranged day trips with several talented English-speaking local birders. She also took a day trip with us to some of the best local attractions, and pointed...

We had a wonderful time at La Rassada! Philippa is a welcoming hostess with a wealth of local knowledge. This meant that we were able to make the most of our time in this fascinating area. She helped us map out cycle routes and suggested interesting places to visit. A highlight for me was walking in the hills with Philippa,...

My wife and I stayed with Philippa at La Rassada for 6 nights during March 2016 on a motoring trip through France from the UK. On arrival Philippa was most welcoming and over tea and biscuits we found common interests so conversation flowed easily. La Rassada is very comfortable and relaxing, we soon felt at home. Philippa cooked two evening...

Thank you so much for your kind review! I love having walkers to stay and it was fun recommending walks and restaurants. I particularly enjoy being able to share this wonderful area with others, and particularly people who come from the same part of the world ;-) Hope to see you both again sometime! Philippa

My wife and I stayed here for a week in September 2015 and I can honestly say that it is the best B&B we have ever stayed in. It lived up to, and surpassed, all the reviews on both Alistair Sawdays and Trip Advisor. Philippa is the most perfect host. She greeted us like friends from the moment we arrived,...

Staying at La Rassada was like visiting a friend. Philippa was warm and comfortable to be around, as was her home. Sitting on the deck chatting, sipping a glass of wine and watching dusk settle over the mountains was the perfect way to wind down after a day of exploring. Feuilla is a residential village with one winery, but no...

comfortable, clean barn conversion set in rural and peaceful village. Philippa was extremely welcoming and helpful, offering many suggestions for things to do/places to eat etc. Our dog Mia also enjoyed the hospitality and Philippa kindly arranged our visit to the vet for the dog passport to enable our return. Philippa also provided a healthy breakfast everyday, and produced a...

Our first time exploring this beautiful unspoilt area and we couldn't have found a better base. Philippa is a warm and generous hostess with comprehensive knowledge of the surrounding area and wildlife and goes the extra mile to ensure her guests are happy and comfortable in her cleverly converted barn nestling in the hills on the outskirts of the pretty...

It was a great pleasure having you both to stay - and I would love to have you back anytime! You will be pleased to know that one of the lizards has been spotted sunning himself on the rocks opposite the kitchen door - and I am most relieved to know that my mascots are still close by! I hope...

Having met Philippa at Birdfair 2013, Rutland Water we could not resist the chance to try this area of SW France for a Spring birding break. Blessed by fine warm weather and Philippa's local knowledge a memorable week was spent exploring the Corbier Hills and the coastal lagoons. Highlight of the week was sitting on a deserted hilltop in blazing...

If you fancy a break in South Western France, off the tourist trail (but not too far off), in the peace and quiet of the Corbieres hills (and vineyards!), then La Rassada in Feuilla is the place for you. The surrounding area offers beautiful scenery, unspoilt villages and beaches that go on for miles and which have been protected from...
