Great old fashion pub with good food.Nice to take friends and family. Great little garden, where occasional opera performed. If staff find out its your birthday they immediately get on the piano and sing Happy Birthday. Don't know anywhere else so happy to oblige!
This is our local, the food is fabulous and the bear is OK
They do Opera nights the next one being i July.

This hotel in rural Dorset has comfortable rooms, a beautifully landscaped garden and a most attentive host, who doubles as an opera singer as well. He also cooks fresh rolls for breakfast. I would recommend anyone to stay here.
Missed the lunch time bell so missed out on lunch. Shame considering it was a bank holiday weekend! The cider was wonderful as was the pork pies, scotch eggs and crisps. Nice garden area, warm, traditional bar and pub.
