This is a well run resort that is fighting it way back from Covid shut down and do a great job with a fantastic crew of staff behind them . The service staff in all the restaurants and bar area were always pleasant and friendly. The reception staff make your check in an out smooth and hassle free. I think the garden staff probably don’t get much of a mention often, but these guys and lady’s have a huge job to present the gardens the way they do , and do a fantastic job. Food an drinks never disappoint an lots of choices. Think with time they will give all the rooms a face lift as was the only comment from around the guest we spoke with. My only negative would be the sunset fish trip . Unfortunately way off the mark and very disappointed, but our guide did a good job but not what I thought it would be. Overall a great experience thanks to you an all your staff

The perfect stay on a tiny island with a short boat drive away from Phuket. Removes all the stress from your life. Real luxury. Fantastic service, superb breakfast, big rooms and a private pool. Exactly what we needed. Well maintained green areas around the property. Very children friendly.

A quick speed boat trip to the island from the new very swanky marina. The jacuzzi suite accomodation was lovely with lots of space and great aircon. Lots of facilities to keep the kids busy and a choice of pools that rarely had many people in them. Food was great and the staff pleasant and helpful. Loved the unlimited coffees and iced coffees for breakfast. The sunset views were stunning and the beach was lovely for a walk. We had a few minor issues with housekeeping and billing, but once pointed out to management these were rectified with flowers and a hand written note. There is a restaurant and massage place next door, and a couple of local shops selling drinks and snacks within an easy walking distance.

We are just checking out from a 5 night stay at the Village and it has been absolutely beautiful. The hotel itself is old school luxury. It is clean and has everything you need. The staff at the kabang bar are so attentive, after one day they had remembered our drink choices and would ask if we wanted another as soon as we finished. We opted for the all inclusive package which was well worth it in my opinion, if all you want to do is drink cocktail and eat amazing food. Before we arrived I struggled to see any pictures of the Good and drinks ect, so have attached loads if you are looking to book! With all inclusive you can eat from the evening buffet if it is on or you can order unlimited dishes off of the al a carte menu which is what we did! There was live acoustic music which was amazing, and a fire show on our first night. When you initially pull up to the pier when checking in you can’t believe that it is real, it is simply stunning. We both had treatments at the spa, I had the full body scrub and a massage. When you are all inclusive you get 25% discount. I he value of this treatment was ridiculous, I think it would have been about £200 where I live in the UK. There are too many staff names to mention but basically every one at the Kabang bar, thank you for making our stay so special! One tip is to bring lots of insect repellent. The wildlife on the island is off they charts and you will get bitten by mozzys without it. Enjoy your stay if you choose to book, I’m jealous!

we spent a wonderful week at the Village Coconut Island Resort, we enjoyed the wonderful gardens of the resort, the spacious suite, enjoyed the private Jacuzzi, the varied breakfast, the service and the pleasantness of all the service providers at the hotel. And in general we had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. One comment I should mention is about the lighting in the suite which is minimalistic, especially the bedside lamps, to the point that we had trouble reading in bed.

This is the 2nd time I had been to The Village and each one has been nothing short of excellent. Stayed for 2 nights as a weekend getaway and had an amazing and much-needed break from main Phuket Island. The resort is literally less than 10 minutes by boat, has it's own private docking area where you can relax while waiting to be transported to TVC. Facilities were excellent and the staff was attentive. They also have a variety of food options (including vegetarian) which was definitely a big plus. Initially planned on having just an overnight stay, then extending for another night which was easily accommodated without any fuss. Definitely recommended for people who would like to have a quiet few nights to themselves to recharge and detach :) Thank you for having us, Mark & Team!

The Village Coconut Island We had one of our best ever holidays at The Village Coconut Island. It wasn’t perfect and we had some small issues but I have no choice other than to score it FIVE stars as they more than made us for the issues in other more important ways. The Village Coconut Island is a resort retreat on a tropical island a short distance from Phuket. There is a very regular water taxi to take you from the island to the mainline and plenty of great value taxis to take you where ever you wish to go. It works really well as soon as you get used to it. The Village Coconut Island has a village theme (as you might expect) and feel to it and so many aspects are authentic Thailand in style. If you want straight lines and glass modern it’s probably not for you. If you want an authentic Thai retreat away from the hustle and bustle it’s perfect. We travelled in the wet season so it was very humid and we had rain showers but actually we loved it. When it rains the island comes alive especially at night with the sound of frogs…it’s a tropical island after all. On the island you will find Date Palm trees, Banana trees, and Coconut Palms as well as highly manicured gardens, some really quite beautiful. There’s lots of wildlife all of it harmless. Some amazing butterflies! The elephant shaped bushes were very impressive. The rooms have air-conditioning which was a great relief from the humidity, however ours was a little noisy. It was fixed as soon as we requested it and in fact some other things were fixed which housekeeping must have reported as we didn’t even notice. The rooms are very comfortable as are the beds. Wi-fi coverage is good, not lightning fast but again… we were on a tropical island. I used a VPN for work and it worked really well. The boats have to work to the tides and so where the boats leave from and which pier they arrive at was not obvious to us at first. The resort has its own pier at the island and a new one on the mainland but they only operate when the tide allows. The public pier on the island is a short golf buggy ride away and its really no major hassle, but it takes some getting used to. Just check which pier and the tide when you plan a trip. We did tours with specific drivers we liked and they were great value but the hotel will also arrange them for you. The drivers use WhatsApp and are great value so it’s very easy to get around. We gave them good tips at the end of our stay as they have had a really tough time with tourism during Covid. We bought with us a Thai sim card and a portable Wi-Fi router as roaming charges are high for EU networks. This worked really well as we were always on WhatsApp. On the Island you will find a very chilled out vibe, some beleric music influences mixed in with Asia dance which was actually quite nice. There are some very well cared for dogs on the island. All the dogs had been neutered and are fed aways from the guests so don’t feed or pet them. They are actually well behaved and quite cute. They call Thailand the land of smiles and on the Island this is certainly the case. All the staff were just fantastic. Really well trained, friendly and attentive. Thanks especially to Yah who was just a delight. The food… oh the food… it was just wonderful. They have a buffet some nights and the choices were amazing. I had the best green curry I have ever had at the buffet. Breakfasts are excellent too although it gets busy towards the end so better get there early. Cocktails and drinks were good to. The wine was nice and over all the food and drink was good value. Of course, you can get cheaper off the resort, but you take the location in to account. We spent c1,500 Euro between four people over 10 days which was pretty good value for extras. A reasonable amount of that was our bar bill. Beach towels, bikes and umbrellas are all provided as is the normal shower gel and shampoo. It’s really unfair to call the resort tied as some have said. They were very hard at work sprucing it up ready for high season and you have to allow for the impact of two years of Covid. They are doing an amazing job getting more and more of the resort back up to standard. It was spotlessly clean and housekeeping were excellent. In fact all service was brilliant. We really loved it… and it hurt us to leave. To add to this feeling is rained hard as we left which happened to be at a very low tide so we went from the public pier with all our bags. Both my daughter and my wife slipped over getting on a long boat because it’s really poorly lit and slippery when wet. It’s a little unfair to blame the resort for this but it was an awful start to 24 hours of travelling home. On the plus side, we had the whole day at the resort which left like a bonus day. We were VERY sad to leave! The Village Coconut Island did a great job looking after us and was a fantastic base for us to see more of the area. Our tours to Phi Phi Island, the markets, Big Buda and some of the best beaches in Phuket will stay with us always and we had the fabulous resort to come home to. It worked really well, having a rest day and then a tour day. We loved it!! Thank you to Mark and all the staff who made it special. In sincerely hope we will be back!

This place is just amazing! A beautiful place to enjoy our first time in Thailand. The staff make this place…. We were so very well looked after by everyone. The food was incredible. Location just perfect - out of the way, yet so close to the mainland with an easy, quick boat shuttle service. Coming out of covid… you can see the efforts they are making to improve and renovate. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. To the staff …. Thank you - you are all fabulous!
