We have just spent a week at this resort and thought it worthy of a review. Our transfers were included and we were picked up by Mr Unis, he was there on time, had a gorgeous comfortable vehicle and offered us bottled water as soon as we got in. We were taken to the pier and he explained along the way that the tide would determine which pier was used at what time of day. We were then put on the boat and taken across to the island. It would have been nice to be given a very short safety brief on the boat (or advised of the location of the life vests in the least). Having said this the boat staff were very friendly. Just a short 5-10 minute ride across and we were taken to the restaurant. It was approx 9:45pm and the staff had pre-ordered food for us on arrival as it was getting close to the restaurant closing. What a lovely touch! Check in was fast, efficient and friendly. A lovely drink and a great explanation of the facility and we were then given the app which worked well and was beneficial. We opted for the all inclusive package with was certainly worth it. Our room was clean, cool and spacious, we had our own pool which was also clean and private. It was nice to have amenities in the bathroom and the option to make our own tea/coffee in the room, it was not replenished often enough but we were given more when asked. It was also a lovely touch to get 2 bottles of water delivered to our room daily. Room service was provided daily however towels that we left in the shower bay were taken away but never replaced, this happened on Two occasions and we had to request more as one day there were no towels for after our shower! We were talking to other guest who also had the same issue. It is wet season so if you leave your doors open you will get mozzies in the room however they do sell repellent in the lobby shop. It is also worth noting that if you turn the air conditioners off the room will fill with condensation. No big deal as we were happy to have it on most of the time. Our time in our room was particuarly peaceful until about day 4 when a family was put beside us, the children screamed, yelled and were very noisy which was compounded by the parents constantly yelling at them (just like that our peaceful oasis was gone)! We were speaking to another couple at the bar who had exactly the same issue, in fact they didn't want to go back to their room until they were sure the kids were asleep. Maybe more thought put into placement? If it was at 100% capacity we could understand however this was not the case. The bar and restaurants were VERY good, lots of choice and we were accommodated for when making a few requests. The buffet breakfast is exceptional and the themed buffets were also really good with lots of fresh, interesting choices. The local dishes on the main menu are a must for anyone dining there. The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful catering to our every need and with a smile. We also opted to do the cooking course which was conducted by the executive chef and was one of the highlights of our trip. Our only complaint about the restaurant/bar area was the smoking. On several occasions we were having a meal and the tables either side were smoking, most unpleasant. Maybe a designated area for smokers? We also very much enjoyed the live music every couple of nights. Wandering around the gorgeous gardens was something we thoroughly enjoyed and the massages were up there with the very best we've ever had. The touches before and after were also lovely. Check out was fast and efficient, we had been charged for mini bar however we didnt use it? The staff removed this without question. The wet seats on the boat left us travelling for the next few hours with we bums LOL... Yes we know it is wet season but maybe a towel each to sit on. Such a minor detail but worth mentioning. All in all we LOVED this trip. The venue, service and special touches are gorgeous and we have certainly said we'd both love to come back at some stage in the not too distant future. If your considering this place - Just do it.

We’ve just spent a very relaxing 10 days at The Village, our last visit was in 2019, we couldn’t return earlier due to the pandemic! We stayed in a 2 bedroom Sea View Pool Villa which was excellent – the views from the terrace out to sea were lovely, we loved the privacy of our own large pool (approx. 8.5m long), the rooms are spacious, comfortable & well set out, beds very comfy & the weather was stunning. Whilst the resort has suffered during Covid (which business hasn’t?) they’re doing their utmost to get everything up & running again. The pools, 2 restaurants & bar were all open as was the spa/massage & beach activities. The ferries run on schedule back & forth on the short trip to the mainland & the staff are a delight to be around – many remembered us from our last visit & all are super friendly, trying very hard to look after everyone & ensure they’re all having a great holiday which I’m sure can be challenging at times. The restaurants run varied menus with a couple of speciality buffets during the week, the choice of food is extensive, from curries to salads, Thai specialities to Indian to Chinese & western with plenty of seafood – everyone is catered for, the servings are generous & the flavours delicious but the breakfast buffet deserves a special mention – there is so much choice! We find The Village is a great place to base yourself for day trips to James Bond & Phi Phi Islands or for trips around Phuket – but it’s great to get back to the tranquillity of The Village, away from the hustle & bustle of Phuket. We are already planning our next trip in 2023 for a super relaxed, chilled holiday.

It is one of the most beautiful places in Phuket. Very suitable for families with small kids. The staff are very nice and friendly. We rented a two-room apartment with a private pool. Lots of vegetation and shade. Very good breakfast.

Beautiful resort on a private island with wonderful staff and facilities - but that said, a few pro tips if you're planning to come here: 1. Ferry Boats: The resort has two piers the ferries come to depending on the tide. One is beautiful, new, staffed-up and only for resort guests. The other is a public pier that is not staffed by resort staff and truthfully does not feel too safe @ night. One night we missed our boat by 5 minutes and opted to pay a local boat 400 baht for a ride back over sitting on a public pier for an hour in the dark. I hope long term they'll explore having two private docks or at least placing some resort staff at the public pier. 2. If you opt for all-inclusive (which we did) please note it only is for the hours between 11am and 11pm, and room service is NOT included in the all inclusive package (although it is 50% off). It starts at 11:00am as breakfast is included for all guests. That said, the food and drinks are great, so I do recommend the all inclusive package if interested. 3. The resort is very casual, which we loved. That said, as opposed to other all inclusive resorts we've been to in the Caribbean, you do NOT need to dress-up for dinners. All meals are outside so shorts, tank tops, and sandals are appropriate to wear for all meals if you choose. 4. The spa and massages were wonderful and fairly priced, but a pro tip that the appointments fill-up every day. Make sure to book any massage treatments you want a day in advance. 5. The resort has 2 waterslides which are very fun.

Dear ybrik22, Thank you very much for your very detailed feedback. It is great that you enjoyed your experience so much whilst staying with us, it seems we got everything just right for you. Thank you especially for your compliments regarding the staff, they will indeed be very proud. I have noted your comment about the Phuket side transit areas. We are in the process of applying for permission to dredge the channel leading to our new arrival/ departure facility. Fingers crossed, we will soon have access in and out of there 24 hours day, regardless of what the tide is doing. Thank you once again Mark and Team

You will read a lot of different reviews on this property. What I'll start out saying is that if you are after a perfectly polished gem where everything is laid out for you and you follow a timetable of events etc then this place is not it. If you like resorts where the thinking is done for you this may not be the place for you. What we loved about The Village was that its a resort at your own pace. You have the benefit of the facilities but you use them at your own pace. You aren't forced into activities and being social with other guests if you don't want to. There is plenty of opportunities to talk and socialise but its not forced upon you. We had a couple of bumps when we arrived but Linsley was fantastic at making us feel welcome and valued. Karen (the restaurant manager) is also wonderful. Hasan at the front desk is a kind and wonderful man. The owner, Mark, also has great stories to tell about the history of the property. You can see his pride in it... and rightfully so. The food is fantastic. Our 8-year-old son has allergies and it was never too much trouble for them to alter food so he could enjoy it. He hasn't stopped raving about it. It was our first holiday where we haven't cooked for him in 8 years. We finally got our holiday! Our boys loved the water slides. It's a good way to tire them out! There are areas around the property that need a little TLC but it's the wet season and we are coming out of the COVID world so I'd expect that. There is also a lot of wildlife around - we loved that. It shows the resort is living with the island and not trying to eradicate nature. A word to those who might have some mobility issues - try and avoid transfers at very low tide. It can be a bit tricky getting on the boat.

Me and my family stayed at the hotel for two weeks. And we could easily have stayed two weeks more. The resort offer world class breakfast, that you never get tired of. The hotel is stunningly beautiful and the energy on the island is amazing. I’ve never experienced such a nice and professional staff - always smiling and welcoming. I would especially like to thank the executive Assistant Manager and Ms Yah from the restaurant for making our stay even better. We were worried about the transport between the mainland and the island. It turned out never to be a problem as the boat sails 24/7. So quick and easy. The hotel offers a high variety of different activities to do, so you are never bored. Tennis, water activities by the sea and access to bikes are just some of the many options to chose from. I would especially recommend the massage at the spa. The best I’ve tried so far. Overall an unforgettable experience, that I truly recommend to everyone.
