Nice hotel at Karon Beach. Rooms are OK, good enough for a novotel 4 star hotel. Price quality wise it is a good hotel. However, this resort is perfect for children, and thus not so much for alone travelers. Breakfast was good. Nice big swimming pool.
Novotel and it’s staff were absolutely amazing and made our honeymoon so memorable. Beautiful rooms and pool areas which we spent most of the time relaxing. A short walk to the beach and local shops made for an easy holiday. Manager David upgraded us into a villa and was nothing short of accomodating and generous. We are very thankful to him and all the staff. Would recommend to friends/family that want a relaxed holiday with all ammenities available.
Stayed from 28Jan to 4Feb 2022. Check in was reasonably smooth with the usual formalities to perform. What was good :- 1. Room service was prompt and food came hot. I ordered Pizza for dinner 2. Staff was polite and generally helpful. 3. Room was spacious What can be improved 1. Room amenities should be replenished and properly supplied. (There was no toothbrush, shower cap, cotton buds etc etc throughout my stay. Only shampoo and bath gel provided) Not what I expected from the Novotel. 2. Swimming pool was not very clean with debris in the pool. 3. Wooden pool deck was broken in several places and can cut your feet when you are barefoot around the pool area. 4. Front office did not automatically print out our PR test results for us until we requested them to do so. (This was done at another SHA Extra Plus hotel I stayed at) …
We booked a holiday here in March 2020 and I still haven't received a refund after cancelling due to Covid-19. We booked through Accor but they refuse to honour the Covid-19 policy which states we should text a refund.
It was a real breath of fresh air staying at Novotel Karon, as an Accor Plus Gold member I was actually quite impressed. The place itself has beautiful facilities with 3 pools, a kids slide and activities room with games and PlayStations and engaging craft activities. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Though the thing that stood out the most was the staff and their approach, they had only reopened in the last few months after being closed for the best part of 2 years. They couldn’t have been more helpful and stuck the right balance between friendly and present and allowing us to enjoy our stay. Sandra the manager was brilliant she assisted me above and beyond with even having someone come to the hotel for a physio session I required. I highly recommend this hotel and their staff to ensure you have a great stay in the region!…
I’d like to say a big thanks to wonderful manager Sandra. She was our angel during our stay in hotel, she made all the best to provide us all we need for our maximum comfort and real relax. Sandra is a real professional, who is very responsible and really loves her job and her clients. Thanks Sandra for hospitality and care, thanks to her me and my friends spent an amazing days in Novotel Karon hotel. Wish her and your hotel prosperity and big success!
We booked the most expensive suite for two weeks, including the New Year’s Eve. The hotel was full of very noisy, constantly dunk Russians who yelled and shouted every night until early morning hours, making it very difficult to sleep. The hotel clearly focuses on this type of customers. The staff barely understood English and was not aware of the promotions offered at the hotel website,.Every day we had to argue about the terms of the packages we had booked, and prove that we were entitled to receive the services by producing various vouchers and documents. It usually took 3 persons to communicate with. The staff was generally nice, but they simply did not know about the promotions the management or the marketing department had invented. The conclusion is that if loud and noisy Russians are not your thing then probably this is not the best option for a family vacation.…
Nice and good hotel,Its a nice and good hotel little bit outside the Karon Centra 10 minutes walk, nice rooms, clean, nice welcomming staff,2 really good restaurants, maybe little bit pricy for beeing Thailand, nice pools, wifi worked good, but if you are a couple without children i should not book, children screaming at the pool all days but for families with children its perfect, So not bad at all will be back in the future
Me and my fiancé stayed here for 10 nights (18th Feb - 28th Feb) plunge Pool suite 411 and we absolutely loved it here. Location is spot on, it’s at the quiet end of Karon Beach. when you cross the road, take a right, then quick left (literally 4 minutes walk from hotel entrance) there’s a guy renting out sun loungers for 100 baht and a small cafe next to him that sells ice cold water, beers, coconuts etc. This end of the beach is nice and quiet with lots of space around for sunbathing, Karon beach is beautiful, crystal clear water and no rocks at all, sand is soft and squeaks when you walk, you will see when you get there. Staff were great, firstly Palmy who was I think customer liaison manager, she was an absolute diamond, from check in, to us leaving she would come over to us and find out if everything was ok, she gave us advice and tips on where to visit, and just all round a real professional and friendly person. she made an excellent 4 star customer service rating into an outstanding 5 star customer service rating alone. Novotel are lucky to have such a great member of staff thank you palmy. Also Elena was fantastic with trip advice and bookings If you can book the plunge pool suite, then I would strongly recommend doing so. very spacious suite and the small pool, more like a large jacuzzi really was quality in the evenings to relax in whilst having a drink after going out in Karon. We did have a few issues with our plunge pool not working with the jets, we would have to call housekeeping, every day. housekeeping and maintenance was great and would fix it every time they came, but would stop working the following day so was a bit annoying. But still the pool is a must have if you’re a couple. The cleaners were great too, room was spotless every day We had half board, food was lovely great variety and very quiet, you can either get the themed buffet which was different every night and always great or they have a lovely Thai restaurant on site which was delicious. Breakfast was chaotic, food was nice but so busy, between 9am and 10am you will have to queue for a table for about 5 - 10 minutes, food was nice, omelette, scrambled eggs, Thai food, great choice. Tip order a la cart from downstairs saves you having to queue Would I stay here again if visiting Phuket, definitely, lovely hotel, very big, great location, 10 minute walk into main strip of Karon, or a 15 minute Tuk Tuk ride from outside the hotel to Patong for 300 baht. Main thing for us is the beach its not busy, and beautiful. So few things I want to bring up which the hotel should look at. Firstly the pool, the tiles / grouting in all pools including the plunge pools need to be done ASAP, it really lets the luxury of the hotel down. Also the drink prices are ridiculous, during our meal two cocktails would cost 750 baht which is about £17, or two glasses orange juices for 400 baht (£8) absolute joke. Also charging service charge and vat on a bottle of water feels like you are being ripped off by the hotel. We paid a lot of extra money for half board, the fact they don’t include juice or water and charge overpriced drinks feels like a bit of a con, the hotel needs to look at this and change it. Also taxi pick up to and from the airport is overpriced, small cars that are asking 1500 baht when it should really cost no more than 700 baht Apart from that, well done Novotel for making a great holiday and organising a little decoration in our room for my fiancé’s birthday and on our proposal night. …
We arrived on 28th of feb 2020 and the kids pool slide didn't work for first 6 days of our stay, the main pool was good at the first day and after that was green for 7 days and closed on the end,we upgrade for plunge pool $640 becouse the the pool was green, the second pool was starting to get green and kids slide didn't work and a bit shallow .pool bar charge 400 baht thats 20 AUS for bannana smoothy.we have to complain and refund. Every thing is expensive in the hotel (not many people eat there)....Aircon turning off during night but they said thats becouse we left the slidind door open but that wasn't the case, the plunge pool is bad,the tiles are sharp (missing grout) and not level so be careful. Rooms? You have to ask for toilet paper every time we needed. The list goes on but read the other comments. ..they are %100 corect. Don't waist the money here, in 3 star hotel we had better experience.…
