We loved our stay at Centara Grand Beach Resort! We stayed 7 nights and everyday we were made to feel like royalty. The staff were very nice and attentive especially Mui, Nok, and Nam at the Coast Restaurant. We are sad to be leaving today but can't wait to return!
Amazing resort! Great pools and centrally located. The beach just out the front of the resort is great and the best part of Karon beach. The food was amazing and Nok was so wonderful and lovely. We’ve never experienced such kind hospitality. We will be coming back!
The hotel staff are excellent, very warm and helpful, had some interaction with Nok at the breakfast hall, very nice person, also the lady in charge of the tea and coffee section next to the entrance was kind enough to warm my Thai ice tea each time. The Italian restaurant Mare, the food was excellent. Housekeeping service was excellent, we was staying at room 431 which was kindly upgraded by the checking in staff. Overall I cannot fault the hotel, the breakfast had ample choice. The security at the entrance we're always there to help us drive in and out at the hotel is on a steep winding road on the hill. The only thing I can fault is the deco external needs a paint overall, I expected this would have been done during the pandemic lockdown a perfect opportunity. We usually stay at Centara hotels wherever possible.…
We had two rooms connected by the balcony. The rooms were in need of some maintenance to be of the standard they should be. The balconies were nice to sit on at night but you need to bring mosquito coils or spray. The grounds and pool area are very nice and the slides and cliff jump are fun for the kids, although mine are 14 & 12 so it only kept them occupied for a short time. The pool swim up bar is looking extremely worn and in need of a complete refresh. I also thought the service at the pool bar was slow and frustrating. the staff needed to be more lively and fast moving. I suspect that most of the maintenance issues are due to covid and lack of tourist money coming in.....however this is a big company and in order to keep people coming back they need to keep things at a high standard. The Italian and Coast restaurant near the beach front were very nice. The food was good. Special mention to Nok. She was working at the restaurants most nights and she was absolutely delightful. She knew the menu very well and her customer service was second to none.....lovely lady and an asset to the resort. We enjoyed walking along the beach to the small town and ate some delicious cheap thai food from the street carts and also from the "taverna style" restaurants facing the beach.…
Stayed in a deluxe suite with private pool. Very limited sea view (almost none) and no privacy in the private pool as the rooms with private pool are all side by side. I can see the next room's pool even from inside my room. Might be better to stay in a room without private pool as they are on the higher floors with likely better sea view. Staff are friendly although they seem not as enthusiastic as what I recall Thai hospitality to be pre-Covid. It's my first time returning to Thailand in more than 2 years. Breakfast selection is limited but the view is good (just beside the beach). Not crowded as well, probably as this is not the peak travel season and Thailand is just re-opening post Covid. Happy to have had the chance to travel back to Phuket again after 2 years and enjoyed the trip overall. Hotel stay, unfortunately, was the disappointing part of this trip. …
Starting from welcome drink to staff everything was amazing..they have their own beech and water park for activities.View from room was spectacular and management was highly cooperative.Overall a good experience though could improve a little on quality of breakfast and hygienic level.. A bit away from main city but its worth to have a stay there. A highly recommend place to stay.
This is a worn out property with no proper housekeeping and pest control policy. I stayed in a private pool villa and despite of complains for mosquitoes in the room they did nothing and I had 3 sleepless nights already. Would not suggest for Indian and specially vegetarian as they have almost nothing in breakfast and seems they don't need our business. Our request fall on deaf ears.
For my family it was their first visit to Thailand / Phuket and we had an amazing time. Hotel staff went out of their way to provide simply amazing customer service. For those (like myself) that use TripAdvisor and hotel ratings to make a sound judgement on your holiday then focus on the positive reviews because the resort is fantastic and caters so well for families. It was my first return to Thailand in over 15 years and I - like my family -were not disappointed.
We were here to celebrate my brother’s 40th, when ordered a cake for the occasion they merely gave us a macron instead. The food here is terrible with very little choice for vegetarians… room service is not on time. We were to depart at 8:30 am so checked out to head for breakfast leaving our luggage at the concierge just to find out at our return that all our suitcases were drenched in rain… and cherry on the cake was have a bad taste early in the morning just for a mere umbrella coz Ms. PAK BUNG was really rude and had an uncalled for, uncanny and racist behaviour with us…
We had a lovely week relaxing by the pool and sea. The resort is perfect if you want a quiet spot with everything you might need but with easy access to Karon and Patong if you’re after a bit more action. Staff are wonderful.
