We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights. We were well taken care of by the hotel staff from arrival to departure. The airport transfer came with child seat, we were impressed. Staff showered concerns and help in every possible way with our sick infant whom caught a high fever during our stay. No complaints from our constant request to change bedsheet due to our infant vomit episodes even in the middle of the night. We were apologetic but they assured us that it wasn't any issue. Provided our infant with plain porridge so that she could have something to stomach in. Food at their various in house dining restaurants were excellent. Food highlights to the breakfast buffet and dinner at Black Ginger. We did not manage to try their Friday nite bbq and Sunday brunch but we are sure it would be equally as good. Kids club was fun for our infant. They had activities at various timing to engage the child. The staff ensured all child were taken care of. The whole staff team went extra miles to ensure we were well taken care of! A big thank you again to the team for their impeccable service. Would definitely love to revisit.…
Like pretty much everyone who reviews this hotel, we cannot recommend it enough. I wondered if it was 'too good to be true', but it really is that good! From the moment you arrive, you feel like you are in an oasis of calm and luxury and are treated as if you are the most important person there. The resort is absolutely enormous! It took us a couple of days to even find the third pool - it wasn't a problem as all of the pools are incredible and you will find one to suit your mood (we changed location of pool on a daily basis......just because we could LOL!) One of the adult pools has a swim up bar which is just gorgeous - Tor is the barman there and is quite the character - he is amazing and will look after you royally. Ian and Dang are on duty round the other pools and will also look after your every need, and when you go for lunch at the restaurant, Ball will be on duty to make you feel special. The food is amazing - Soo at Breakfast will cater for your every need and with such a huge (and delicious) selection of foods you could spend all day there and will be spoilt for choice. The rooms are gorgeous - really comfy beds and a really good replenishment system of drinking water in your room each day - even the housekeeping staff are really friendly - the staff work ethic throughout the hotel is the best we have ever experienced in over 20 years of travelling to Thailand. The hotel itself is so well designed, it will take your breath away. Whoever dealt with the little touches as a nod to the history of being a tin mine deserves a medal - wherever you look or turn, there is a style statement which adds to the whole experience without being over the top. We bought lots of things from the hotel shop as we loved the whole design. My husband had a few health issues whilst we were there which were dealt with swiftly and professionally by the in house First Aid team, something we really appreciated as it is scary being ill when on holiday in a foreign country. Nothing was too much to ask. Nai Yang itself is also really lovely - the beach is just outside the hotel where you can find all sorts of food, massages from the ladies in the yellow tops on the beach (who are SUCH fun - give them a go - they've been without any earnings during all of Covid so are delighted to welcome you) and sunset bars to die for - the view is amazing when you watch the sun dissolve into the sea - just magical. As everyone has said, this really is a top class hotel with service and attitudes from the staff making this a truly memorable experience - we will be back as soon as we possibly can!…
We travelled for the first time after Covid, and lucky to choose the hotel. It was perfect from check-in to check-out. The kids club, Pool, Spa, and the restaurant was all great- and we had a great time with family. Most important was the staff - they went above and beyond to ensure the stay was comfortable. We left the wallet in the hotel, and staff dropped it to the airport with very short notice. This is the best (and unique) hotel we stayed with. Also the hotel is very sustainable, least use of plastic and wrapper - like it.
Great hôtel with perfect room And services but the beach is really dirty !!! We ve been there few weeks ago and this hotel deserve a better beach .. it s full of rubbish:( …. It s a shame cause this is one of the best hotel in Phuket. Room perfect and services are great … but one of the worst beach
I received the wonderful service and hospitality while I was staying here. It was my first visit here at the Slate which was recommended by my colleagues. I will definitely come again and spend more nights here, and will also recommend your resort to our friends, and family. Everything was perfect, and I really appreciate the effort of your staffs, especially Choong from F&B who take ownership and show accountability, Ghee (Front) who was willing to help, find the solution and fix the problem for me, and Sarah who provide me a good spa experience, Staff who works at Experience Center is so helpful.
We had our team meeting in Slate last week. Everything from the point of contact to start organizing the meeting, to the preparation and finally the stay was great! The location is within 10 mins ride from the hotel. Traditional Thailand tin mine decoration that is rustic yet luxe, and the rooms are so beautifully decorated. Totally different from the international chain of hotels i stayed before. I really liked it! We had the chance to have dinner at Rivet and Black Ginger. Fantastic meals and a very interesting way to get across to the Black Ginger restaurant on a pulley raft! :) The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Nothing to complain at all. And there are also many small restaurants/pushcarts and massage shops with really reasonable prices right outside the hotel (at the back near the beach). Best of both worlds! I would really recommend Slate to anyone!…
It was the most beautyful hotel-resort we ever have been and we saw a lot of luxury resorts in the world. everything is very professional and with high quality. we can recommend the slate to 100% and we will come back as soon as possible in 2022.
We stayed at the Slate for 7 nights and this is the first time we have stayed here (our third trip to Thailand). The Slate is by far the most amazing place we have ever stayed. We had the luxurious 2 bedroom family pool villa with 2 massive villas and a huge private pool. We have been looked after in every way with our amazing butler Teddy tending to our every need. From delivering drinks and afternoon snacks, to making restaurant reservations and booking taxi tours and a trip to the elephants, Teddy was the most attentive and wonderful butler making our stay just brilliant. The amenities here are fantastic and the resort is spacious so it never feels busy or crowded, just peaceful. All of the staff were wonderful and helpful. We will definitely be back and highly recommend to everyone. Thank you for making our stay perfect and enjoyable.…
What a perfect place to finally escape the confines of Covid. The resort is on Nai Yang beach which is a very quiet area, close to the airport. The area has some very good restaurants, bars, cafes and is perfect because it is not over developed. This resort is special in so many ways. From the beautiful mature and well tended gardens to the resort style, which I suppose you could call Thai industrial chic. I have no negatives about this resort. Katie at reception was so welcoming as she checked us in and then gave us a tour of the resort and our room. Plus when we needed help or information she was always able to assist. Having breakfast here was very good with a superb and varied menu. Yes, the staff do also remember your morning beverage. Thank you Tan for my wifes peppermint tea and my double shot iced latte. The house keeping team are excellent. The rooms are kept clean and they pick up on little things and they are fixed, a blown light globe, a faulty plug in the basin, an extra mozzie coil, nothing was too much trouble. The pools are very good especially the adult pool with swim up bar. And the food at the signature restaurants is incredible. Black Ginger is a dining experience from the little boat at the beginning to the amazing room and food. My wife and I have 2 special occasions to celebrate towards the end of the year and another stay at The Slate for a double celebration is entirely possible. Thank you to everyone at the Slate, you made our vacation very special. …
This was the fourth visit to the Slate by my wife and I. Located in picturesque and peaceful Nai Yang beach the Slate is a welcome change from the more hectic parts of Phuket. The gardens and charm of the Slate are big assets. We visited with a family group the family pool was great attraction. A short walk from the beach exit of the grounds are a range of restaurants, massage outlets and minimarts. A highlight of a visit to the Slate is the extensive breakfast and the friendliness of the staff.
