Booked this hotel through hotels.com,over a month before we were due to arrive Was attracted by the accommodation but also that there was free cancellation and pay on arrival. Owing to the pandemic wanted a risk free option. Shortly after my booking I was contacted by the hotel requesting a photo of both front and back of my credit card and also of my passport. This was highly irregular and never had to this before with this type of booking with hotels.com. The website had my card details already and I informed the hotel of this and my concerns. Not being happy at this request I decided to cancel my weeks booking a whole month before the closing of the free cancellation window. While away on holiday I was sunrises to see that I had in fact been charged against my credit card by the hotel for the whole week. On contacting hotels.com they denied any liability despite the fact they must of provided the hotel with my card details. They said any refund was the responsibility of the hotel. Despite contacting the hotel several times by email I got not acknowledgement or reply. After being apparently ignored I made contact via Facebook. I was then promised a reply which I did receive some days later promising to investigate despite all the details forwarded to them already. After again a period of silence and no reply to my emails I made contact again by fb. I did receive a reply were they accepted liability promising a refund. This I did not get any confirmation of being completed despite my insistence that it should be forward on to me. Again after making contact I got a reply stating I should expect it in 4-5 weeks. A bank transfer can be done in hours or days at least not weeks. I have now having not received any refund put it in the hands of my credit card company to investigate and follow up. I hate having to give any negative reviews especially as tourism is having a hard time and I support all the Thailand tourist industry and made friends over there on my recent trips and wish them the best. However want to warn others before being put in this same position as myself possibly being out of pocket and at risk of incurring interest charges on a service not received.

We had a Grand Pool Villa #111. The room it self was nice as well as the small garden with a pool. Overall we where happy with the whole stay as well as the service. Would be nice if maintenance could take a look between rentals and test taps, locks etc. that they are working. It is not a major thing, but eye for detail is often missing in Thailand everywhere, not just in this place. The switch to shift from bathtub to shower was stucked in the shower position. We had to fill the bath with water from the shower witch was quite slow. The warm water was enough for 1/3 of the bath, we then had to wait for 30 minutes and continue to get enough for a 2/3 bath, so i assume the warm water boiler is way to small, it was the same every day. Our pool newer got any sun, making it very very cold, borderline unusable! I had a few quick dips but my wife could not enter more than knee deep and we are from Finland. Room 111 needs to have a few branches removed to help heat up the pool a few degrees! Also had to move the sun-beds around a lot to get sun. they have a small concrete platform to stay at but you wont get many minutes of sun every day if you are not moving them around a lot. Well small things like this only. Personel was lovely and service good, although roomservice food was 2,5 out of 5. Okay, but expensive and not even close to any restaurant around in the area in taste. We are happy with the stay, but some details can be better. typical 5 star in Thailand i guess :-) We would come again but ask for a room with warmer pool that time.

The resort is located next to a beatiful part of the beach and offers two pools on top. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Yet the villa I had would need some renovation and modernisation. Small tv and weak wifi. The private pool is just 1 meter deep and had some loose tiles. Not enough to justify the 5 stars that are claimed by the resort.

We enjoyed a fabulous stay in a one-bedroom apartment overlooking the swimming pool so much that we extended our time. One of my all-time best memories of our stay was the morning walk through the resort to breakfast. The gardens and grounds deserve special praise, they are so lush and green. It was a beautiful start to the day. ⁣ The menu has been reduced but although smaller than usual the food was lovely with a good breakfast. The spa was closed but the gym was open. ⁣ Our apartment was well set up for all our needs especially once an extra workspace had been added in as we were working from the beach. Dewa has amazing Thai hospitality, nothing was too much trouble⁣. We loved the location close to the beach and the village which has some great options for dining out we especially liked Sea Almond restaurant for a stunning beachfront dining experience. There is enough open for all your needs with a Family Mart, pharmacy and local massage ⁣ Whiskey their cute Fur Ambassador cat strolls around reception looking as purrfectly happy as all the other guests do!

A beautiful, tranquil, friendly resort on the beach but in the National Park, wonderful. The restaurant is great for both breakfast and dinner and you can look at the ocean through the trees whilst you dine! There are also some excellent restaurants on the beach, especially Phens. Staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful, can't do enough. Great spa onsite with reasonable prices, good massages, facials and nails and good products. There is a shuttle bus once a day to take you to Central Festival and Patong. Only 15 minutes from the airport which is great as the traffic in Phuket can be horrendous. We have had many romantic stays and stays with friends at the Dewa. It is a magical destination.
