Visited Phuket for 9 days, stayed at 4 hotels (budget, mid-range, higher-end) but ironically this "higher-end" resort was the one that I enjoyed the least. I stayed at Dewa Phuket in their Pool Villa for 2 nights to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday towards then end of our trip. Upon entering the resort, we already didn't have a great start: 1. There's no "spray" or "scent" to keep the mosquitos out. My boyfriend had like 10 bites the second we got into the villa. 2. I emailed the resort if they could kindly prepare something for my boyfriend's birthday, they prepared a small cake that was in the fridge. When I opened the fridge, it was leaking... water everywhere and the cake was swimming in refrigerator water. 3. The front desk staff was with me, I showed him the cake and all he did was take it back, didn't offer to bring me a new one, no apology. I even had to ask if he can send someone to fix the fridge. 4. Also upon entering the villa, there was a huge puddle of water under the ac vent... I asked for this to be fixed, the front desk staff said he will send someone, but it seemed like he didn't even see the puddle or didn't care. I had to ask... 5. Again, upon check in, the floors were just filthy, there were stains on the bath mat....seems like they cleaned the room like a couple days before my check-in, threw the cake in the fridge and just left things there until I arrived. 6. Someone finally came, I was hoping it was to fix the leaks, but it was only a cleaning lady that wiped the floor and fridge, they didn't even try to fix it. So it just kept leaking :) 7. To make things worse, there was no hot water, it went from warm, cold, to luke warm. For a 5 star hotel I would at the very least expect a hot shower 8. On the second night at about 2am, the fan in my room started making a continuous creaking noise that woke me up. I think staff really needs to make sure that everything works before checking in guests 9. Breakfast - it's fine, nothing fancy, the mid-range hotels The Sea Galleri by Katathani and Katathani had a better breakfast and cost a lot less. 10. Upon check-out I was asked if I consumed anything from the mini bar, we didn't. I was on my way, until I remember that I had the hotel flip flops in the car, I went back to return it. The staff then asked if we ate a ferrero rocher and said it was "missing"....we didn't consume anything there and I didn't even see chocolates. They were nice about it but it felt a bit strange to be confronted like that. Other than all of the above, the property and pool villa was stunning, the location is fantastic as it's literally a minute walk to the beach, the bed is comfy, everything in the room is designed very nicely. To be fair, the second day after house keeping made up the room it was much much cleaner than when we checked in. You won't experience the true kind of Thai hospitality here, you'll get more of that with the locals on the street. They didn't even bother to say happy birthday.... It's quite a pity as the resort is so great but it's really the people and management that shape the experience.…
Overall great resort The staff were all very friendly The buffet breakfast is pretty good with variety. Lovely pool and comfy seating areas. Rooms were great The location is very quiet so there’s not much nightlife or things to do around so spend most of my time by the pool!
We have stayed here many times and there is a good reason for this. The location is perfect - the beach, the national park and all of Nai Yang's excellent close by restaurants. The staff here are very friendly even the gardeners stop to give you a Sawasdee. The tropical planting in the resort's walkways are perfectly maintained. We've trodden these paths many times but they are always a joy to walk through. We sadly missed the chef's special Loi Krathong dinner due to a prior engagement but enjoyed lunch and dinner on other occasions. Still the best Toast Skagen in Nai Yang. But please get the breakfast operation back to it's pre-pandemic level. New for this year is the Dewa Hotel App. This works really well. For example you request an iron and ironing board and within 10 minutes they are knocking on your door. Great idea. The unsung heroes are the housekeeping staff who made up our room beautifully each day. Once again thank you to K. Janya for overseeing our booking and taking time to come to our room to check that all was perfect. See you all in February.…
Bed comfortable, room clean, reception staff especially lady with bad cough very abrupt, the 2 porters very helpful and friendly. Lots of walking to our room. Directions to rooms poor. Overall it was a pleasant stay
Fantastic place. Near airport but no noise at all. Beach access was great, close to local beach front businesses too. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Kids had fun swimming in the two pools which were clean.
Very beautiful hotel! We stayed in one of the grand pool villas. The room was extremely spacious and comfortable. Large enough for a family but also romantic for a couple. Bathroom is very modern with a large tub and separate shower. Newly renovated. Helpful and very friendly staff. Fabulous breakfast. Decent location close to some shops and restaurants and short drive to the airport. Highly recommended!
Lovely, clean and comfortable hotel. Very spacious room. Nice breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Opposite the beach and next to a nature park so perfect for a morning walk to see the nature. Would definitely stay again, loved the Thai village.
We booked the resort post 10 day stay elsewhere to be close to the airport. The resort is currently being renovated and we were lucky enough to get a newly renovated Grand Pool Villas. The villa was absolutely beautiful. Comfort, cosy and quiet and very private. We didn't want to leave. The surrounding resort gardens are lovely and tranquil to walk through. Breakfast was nice but limited choices but loved the "curried crab eggs Benedict". We utilised the resorts free push bikes and explored the area which was great. Close to the night markets, National Park and little shops/restaurant strip. I would thoroughly recommend the resort and would definitely stay there again.
We love staying here So close to airport Staff are very nice Breakfast is amazing and rooms and beds are very comfortable Great value for moner Close to all beach cafes Cant wait till we return next year
Recommended to me by a friend. Second stay and I have rebooked for August and January . Great location just across the road from one of Phuket’s cleanest beaches and National park. Competent staff all of which I have found very helpful. Although I have only had overnight stays to be close to the airport for early flights , I can see myself staying longer in the future. Resort style hotel with many fine facilities . More than happy with the evening meals and Breakfast. Good honest clean rooms. No problem for me to recommend.
