We stayed here whilst supporting our husbands doing the Way of the Roses cycle ride. The rooms are spacious with a big bathroom (and huge bath!) Big, comfy bed. The food in this place is phenomenal, beautiful menu and good portion sizes. All the staff are friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. One problem (personal to me) Do... More

Needed a family friendly pub and this hit the spot. Lots of outside seating. Inside looked very modern too. Good lunch menu and choice. Must come back for one of their specialst nights. We all had a different chi e of saneich and the kids menu was good too.

Perhaps livelier than normal as it was a hot evening and summer holidays but a great atmosphere at the Grantham on Friday Jessica and team very welcoming and the food (I had the burger this time my wife the sea food platter) was delicious A great place that really delivers each time Highly recommended.

We stayed here for 3 nights recently and we were very impressed with our newly refurbished double room. The complimentary bottles of water each day were a nice touch. We ate in the restaurant twice and the food was outstanding as was the quality of the breakfast. There were a few little staff niggles that stood out only because of... More

Just moved here and tried the GA for Sunday lunch in the sun Fab barman who walked us through the gin menu which we took seriously! Then great food overall - fish and chips standout, although the burger was a little disappointing Nice and will be back!

Close to the A1 just north of Boroughbridge. Parking. Good value pub. Clean but small double room (minimise your luggage) Tea/Coffee facilities, but room service forgot to replace the milks for our second morning. Sophisticated pub food & nice ambience. Take a menu to your room so that once in the restaurant you can order IMMEDIATELY with your beers -... More

We stayed two nights at the Grantham Arms during exceptionally hot weather. When we had booked our room we asked for a quiet room with few, or no stairs. We were given one on the first floor at the front of the hotel, overlooking a busy roundabout. Suffice to say the noise and the poor, synthetic pillows made sure that... More

I ended up at the Grantham Arms by a misfortune of booking somewhere else which was horrendous . I arrived tired and hungry . The staff were wonderful as was my room . The bed was really comfortable with all the facilities required . Spotlessly clean bathroom with a bath and shower . Would defiantly come again

Stayed one night on business. Rooms and venue very clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly both in restaurant and bar. The bar had a good selection of real ales and a massive collection of gins their speciality. Would recommend this hotel to others. Breakfast was the best I have had for some time from an hotel venue.
