This was amongst one of our favourite accommodation stops on our Pennine Way journey from North to South. We had just walked the 18 mile trek from Clove Lodge to Swale Farm in Muker on a damp miserable day and we could not have asked for a more friendly welcome..." come in get your get your boots off and I... 2 MTBrs arrived soaked and near exhausted to be met with true a Yorkshire welcome; very dry but with genuine warmth to match. Immediate offers of help with wet kit, boots, laundry, nothing was too much trouble for our hosts John & Joyce including an offer to use the telephone to check in with my kids (with a stern warning... I thoroughly recommend this B&B especially to people walking the Coast 2 Coast and to anyone else too. We had a beautiful twin room with a really nice en-suite, lovely hot shower and the room lacked nothing, every thing we could have hoped for after a wet walking day (the only wet day out of 15 days walking). Joyce and... More

What a great welcome by Joyce and John Kilburn who have got their hospitality down to perfection. A nice room with everything you could need, even a tiny fridge so that you could have fresh milk with tea and coffee. Nothing was too much trouble and Joyce even cooked a ham so that we could have some on the sandwiches... More

Night 7 of our C2C walk. This had been our first day of sun for quite some time, and we were relaxed, happy little walkers who, after a great lunch of Curried Banana soup (yes, you are reading that correctly!) and BLT's at Keld Lodge (now changed hands), turned up in Muker mid afternoon ready to shower, change and ....go...
