My husband and I stayed for 5 nights in Caribetown hotel and were sad we had to leave. Owners Joel and Karilily ooze the Pura Vida lifestyle. So relaxed and intelligent people who really do anything to make you feel at home. Their employee Sandra made us really nice breakfast every morning! Lovely girl. The bungalow is spacious and really quiet and very clean. There are many soda's and restaurants nearby and many activities to do. We saw a lot of wildlife! Monkeys just across the street at the beach. Cahuita is a must do! We saw a sloth at the beach in Punta Uva , wow! Also there is a really great laundry service in Puerto Viejo, they were super fast and a good price too! Thank you so much for having us

We really enjoyed our stay in Caribe Town. The people there is very nice and prone to help. They have very good recomendations of places to visit, activities and people you should talk to do those activities. The accomodations are cozy and comfortable. The shower and wifi were good, excelent if you consider the limitations in the area. Homemade breakfasts were delicious. Common areas (living room, pool) are excelent. The hotel location is super, close to lots of restaurants, beaches, supermarkets and bike rentals stores (this is very important). In sum, we felt super comfortable in Caribe Town and we certantly would come back on a new trip to Puerto Viejo.

We stayed here for one week in July 2022 and really enjoyed our stay. Delicious breakfast, a nice bungalow (the architecture in combiation with the ceiling fan created a comfortable climate, so we did not miss an a/c), friendly and welcoming hosts and staff, clean pool, stunning garden. We can definitely recommend Caribe Town.

We stayed a week at caribe town for our honeymoon. It was everything we were looking for! Super laid back quiet hotel. The the coffee and breakfast was terrific every morning! Saw tons of animals and the area felt super safe especially on the property. There was great food options all round the area and the owners were super responsive and helpful with any questions or requests! Didn’t want to leave! Can’t see myself going anywhere else!

We stayed in Caribe Town for 3 nights. The owner accommodated even Las minute request. Judith was our host and cooked us delicious breakfast ever morning. She was friendly. Our rooms did get cleaned mainly on request. We met a Tuk Tuk driver that was super friendly , Leon, he showed us where to buy local fruit at a good price and recommended restaurants and sodas to eat at. He also was able to give us tips on how to prepare cacao from the actual fruit. So exciting! Thank you everyone in Costa Rica for making this trip memorable!!!

I cannot say enough about Caribe Town! The staff is so helpful and friendly. They are always available in person or you can WhatsApp at any time to ask questions. Do not skip out on breakfast! Judith is an amazing chef and will cook you a made to order feast each morning. Coconut french toast was our favorite. :) The bungalows are perfect for two. Big comfortable bed, nice sized bathroom and a cute little front porch. The location of Caribe Town is perfect. You can rent bikes right across the street for $4 a day. It is an easy ride into town. There are also plenty of delicious restaurants surrounding the area. I would absolutely stay here again!

I had such a wonderful visit to puerto viejo!! Caribe town is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay- a jungle oasis, yet close to so much!! The accommodations were so cute and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. Every day there was a delicious selection of fruits to accompany the meal. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and offer many opportunities to see cool plants and animals. I would definitely stay in Caribe Town again!!

Our favorite place! Karilily, Joel and their staff were so warm and welcoming. They helped in every part of navigating the area, offerring valuable information and connected with us on all levels. We felt so peaceful and relaxed. We enjoyed the most delicious home made breakfast each morning and the service was undeniably superb. We loved being so close to the beach on which we enjoyed our morning walk each morning and watching the howler monkeys play in the trees. The rooms are so comfortable, beautifully decorated and clean. There is so much to enjoy while on the Caribe Town property, from the beautiful plants to the colorful birds and of course, the frog pond. We are ready to go back!

Just across the road from Cocles beach, we found Caribe Town! Joel and Karilily were amazing hosts and so friendly. Karilily gave us some excellent recommendations for food nearby and a brilliant tour to Cauhita National park which was on of our highlights on our two week trip to Costa Rica. The rooms were lovely, I loved how each guest had a little bungalow that you would go to sleep and wake up to the sounds of the jungle (ear plugs available if you need). I love supporting independant/boutique hotels so I am really happy I came across Caribe Town. Definitely contact them to book direct as you will get a better deal and it stops the third parties from taking such a big cut. Thanks for a lovely stay guys!

Our experience at Caribe Town was magnificent! Just the relaxation we needed at the end of two weeks in Costa Rica! When checking in, Karalily was warm, welcoming, and helpful. We immediately felt at home and cared for. We instantly loved the fun-loving and family atmosphere Caribe Town provided. It is truly a place where you can relax, embrace the Carribean culture, and eat lots of delicious food with restaurants that are walking distance. Karalily and Joel were always willing to help us schedule tours, activities, massages, or whatever we needed for the 5 days we were there. They provided a truly exceptional and welcoming service. Our cabin was super clean, no bugs or geckos in the room (which is rare for Costa Rica). There was hot water in the shower (also somewhat rare for Costa Rica). The cabins are very private and sit cozily on beautiful grounds with tropical plants everywhere. If you want a coco loco, Joel will pick a coconut from one of the trees on the property. Best coconut water and coco locos ever! The breakfast each morning is delicious with a mix of options. We had Caribbean oats, coconut french toast, yogurt parfait, and there is always the option to have bacon, eggs, and toast. Coffee is yummy, as well as the homemade fruit juices with each breakfast. On top of the 5-star services and comfortable cabin, we asked Karalily if she had any information on ELOPING in the Puerto Viejo area. Turns out, she is an officiant and was able to perform a beautiful, natural, and intimate ceremony for us. With just two days' notice, Karalily and her family went above and beyond to make this experience beautiful and special for us. Joel captured beautiful pictures and videos to share with our families. Their darling daughters picked fresh flowers in the morning and threw them in the air when my husband and I kissed after saying I Do. They brought champagne and coco locos for us to celebrate with, and included a sand challice portion in the ceremony. I am speechless when I think about how perfectly everything came together due to Karalily, Joel, and their family. They made our time at Caribe Town so incredibly special! By far the best experience we have had while traveling. Caribe Town will always hold a special place in our hearts!
