The location and the grounds are great. The staff are very helpful and friendly There are improvements being done and more need to be done of which I am sure that they are aware of. Matter of cash input I think At present it is clean basic accommodation at a very reasonable price with use of a kitchen and some good eateries nearby
Loved the placement of Lapalapa and the outdoor area. We loved the outdoor kitchen where we made coffee every morning. The room was a bit dark and the fan sounded like a airplane motor, but the room was clean and the bathroom had a huge shower. We missed a small fridge to keep our water and other drinks cold. We would lile the room to be lighter (brown walls is so dark), but it's absolutelly worth the money.
We planned to stay two days und we stayed more than one week. We had the room number 2 with the kitchen outside. It's a big room and we've got the baby bed for our baby. So it was very comfortable. There are only five steps to the beach and the beach ist great. Near the restaurant you can get surf lessons and the beautiful massage from Rivaldo. It's very recommended. Untill 10pm you hear the music from restaurant but in the room it is quite. We had a great time in this hotel in Tamarindo.
Unfortunately, the rooms are not as pictured. they are ramshackle. There are termite problems, shower not draining, toilet needing constant plunging, water leaking through ceiling. Funky, to say the least. Employees friendly. Proprietor, somewhat impatient and stressed out. I can't recommend.
I arrived late when everything was dark but could still hear the ocean from my room. The room was basic, no AC, but a fan was supplied. I actually managed to sleep without a fan, listening to the roaring ocean. The staff is available if you need them otherwise they leave you be to enjoy the wonderful gardens, the lovely short path to the beach and the entire property. There are monkeys, lots of birds and all kinds plants and flowers. I recommend this place if you want a quiet place away from the noise and crowds of Puerto Viejo. I suggest a long walk to playa Chiquita and punta uva on the beach. From the reception just walk through the garden to the beach, turn right and walk for miles of very quiet and beautiful beaches and spectacular forests. Thanks to Grizel for waiting for me after my flight was so delayed getting into Puero Limon. This is a wonderful place, a top choice in the Puerto Viejo area. …
