We had a wonderful time and didn't regret to have booked for 5 nights. We enjoyed having also time to relax watching birds strolling around in the large and quiet gardens. A special mention for the managing team, we appreciate particularly the very friendly support...More
The hotel was billed at "luxury" but that term is relative. Service is very well-intentioned, if a little disorganized and not professionalized. The rooms (we were in the lodges) are clean and spacious, but cold. If you don't want motel-quality shampoo and soap, bring your...More
Stayed here to do a gorilla trek. Lovely cottages - well appointed and very cosy. The open fire was very welcome as it's quite chilly up in the mountains. The hot water bottles also a lovely touch. The showers are a little unconventional - more...More

Sorry for the late response. Our East Africa tour package included a driver/guide and vehicle for our stay in Rwanda. We drove from Kigali to the Mountain View Lodge and back to Kigali. Be advised that the Lodge is NOT within walking distance (it is a 15-20 minute drive) to the Park Headquarters or to the treks for the Mountain Gorillas and the Golden Monkeys. A vehicle with driver should be considered a necessity.
