Only a 3 minutes walk from Kata Beach with restaurants and bars close by along the road. The room was clean, bed was comfy and staffs are always ready to help.
The room service food was well priced and delicious! The kitchen is also opened until 11.30pm so its perfect for a late night munch.
Special thank you to the welcoming staffs that were around to help during my stay, Gafid, Sue, Ngo, Nong, Mern, Kapook, Mee, Jaime, Wanmee and Na. They completed our trip.

We’re here at the moment after having a week in Patong and we are blown away! We’ve never been to Thailand before so didn’t really know what to expect, however I’d done my research on trip adviser to find the best hotels in Kata and I’m so glad we chose Chanalai Flora! The staff are the friendliest people and seriously do anything they can to please. So friendly and accommodating which really is making our stay extremely special.
I emailed the hotel prior to arrival as we’re celebrating a ‘big’ birthday for my hubby and also our 25th wedding anniversary. On arrival we were advised we’d been upgraded to a deluxe room and there was a beautiful towel decoration on the bed wishing us a ‘happy birthday’ and ‘happy anniversary’. Touches like that are just so beautiful.
I’m sad we are only staying here for a week. I wish we’d had the whole two weeks here instead of the first week in Patong.
Honestly do not hesitate to book this wonderful hotel. You will most definitely NOT be disappointed!

Check in was easy and the staff were very helpful.
Our room overlooked the pool and was one of the better ones in our trip. The bathroom was cleaned and refreshed every day. The floors in the bedroom and bathroom were mopped. The bed was comfortable.
The breakfasts were the best we'd had in Thailand, with everything covered away from flies and people.
Definitely a hotel popular with Russian tourists and families.
Both pools had children in at all times but it wasn't a busy time of year (Corona virus), so it wasn't as irritating as it could have been.
The staff were great and always helpful and happy, despite what they had to put up with from most guests: does it cost a lot of money for holiday makers to smile? Or are their faces set like that due to wind change?
There was a separate library room where you can swap books and read newspapers.
Location was great.

very friendly staff!
rooms are always kept clean by, among others, Peaw 👍🏻
Eaten in the restaurant a few times and it was no problem at all if you wanted to adjust certain dishes.
The hotel is located in a quiet area and 5 minutes from the beach.
for a taxi I would use the app
“bolt” you pay very little

Great value 4* hotel located a short walk from the beach. We received a lovely welcome from brilliant reception staff who were helpful, organised and able to sort any problem that arose. We had a problem with noisy neighboughs on our first night of 10 and the staff sorted the problem quickly and efficiently.
The rooms are well furnished and Ae with her housekeeping team keep everything clean. The gym & pool facilities are great. The buffet breakfast is wonderful & will set you up for the day - there is a hot plate were the chef will prepare fresh eggs and every day there is a range of interesting Thai dishes for a traditional start to the day.
The bar does a happy hour for cocktails twice a day and the bar food menu was good value. The pools are clean and there are plenty of sunbeds. Beach towels are provided for the pool and beach.

Staying here was lovely, great atmosphere and good service. Tonight I felt like dining in and that was a great idea! I spoke to the chef Nua and he convinced me to join the hotel BBQ. There were not a lot of people dining in, they don't know what they are missing out on! Awesome food for a great price, whether you feel like eating upscale Thai cuisine or need some western comforting. The chef made sure I got everything I needed and it was so much better then what I ate on the streets the nights before, thank you for the great service, definitely recommend to my friends, special thanks for Nua for looking after me.

We had our first holiday to Thailand in early March, before things got crazy with Corona.
On night 9, we'd booked 2 nights to stay at Chanalai Flora. We loved it so much we extended our stay for 5 nights.
Upon arriving, we were welcomed with friendly staff who invited us to take a seat. They then offered us refreshing cold towels, a cold drink and an icecream. We were then informed they were upgrading our room.
The room was on the fourth floor with a beautiful view of both pools. It was spotlessly clean and the bed was exceptionally comfy.
The breakfast buffet was delicious each day and all staff were friendly and welcoming with excellent english. The pool bar drinks are cold and the meals/snacks you can order are great.
It's a 2 minute walk to the beach and everything else is in walking distance within Kata Beach. This resort was family friendly but also suited us as a couple. The rooms are very quiet. They also allowed late check out which was great as our flight home wasn't until 9.45pm.
We will definitely be returning to this resort when we come back.
Out of our 13 nights, our best 5 were at Chanalai Flora.

This was the third hotel on our holiday around Phuket island and Koh Yao Yai- the price paid was on a par with other accommodation however we found the facilities, room size, quality of breakfast to be somewhat lacking by comparison. In making our choice to stay here we relied heavily on goof Trip Advisor ratings, maybe the people leaving the highly positive views have little to compare it to or they have stayed in some fairly basic places in the past.
The hotel seems very popular with Russian holidaymakers and their children.
I understand the top level pool is adults only, that wasn’t the case and probable more kids and their toys in there than the bottom one.
As for Kata itself..... felt somewhat down-market, highly commercialised on the beach with lots of activities on offer, not the low key resort we’d expected. Places to eat were average, nothing stood out, top ranked places on TA seemed to be the fast food or ‘pile it high’ places which just didn’t appeal. Most of the area behind the beach is occupied in its entirety by Club Med, I assume guests there probably don’t venture out of if they do maybe just to their sunbed area on the beach, certainly not a town you feel you want to explore. We were only booked in for 2 nights but stayed for just one, heading to a hotel we’d stayed at earlier in our travels.
In a previous trip we’d stayed in Ao Nang, probably we were expecting similar, Kata is nothing like it, it lacks the vibrancy and quality we found there. I hope this is useful for other travellers.
Back to the hotel, staff were pleasant and efficient so no qualms there at all

I spent a week in this property with a friend. We arrived without booking, only impressed by the excellent reviews found online. Upon our arrival the welcome was special, the "people of smiles" never disappoint. They told us there was availability, showed us a room and explained the resort's services. We decided to stay because at first glance - which was later confirmed - the room was clean, sufficiently spacious, with a large wardrobe, safe, kettle, tea, coffee, minibar and free daily glass bottled water. Comfortable bed and pillows. Air conditioning always working and adjustable according to your needs. Always stable WiFi. Beach/pool towels provided.
We had a problem with the wardrobe light and 5 minutes after pointing it out the maintenance man came and fixed everything. Sky, however, activated immediately when the room keys were demagnetized.
We only tried the restaurant on the day of our arrival for lunch, excellent food and a fair price. The exterior is very well looked after, with two swimming pools suitable for adults and children who offer happy hour and umbrella service. The hotel is located in a very central position but far from the chaos of the main street, in 5 minutes on foot you reach the beach equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds at a cost of 200 tbh per day.
The breakfast is top. High quality of food, wide choice of both Asian and international foods. Egg and salad station, choice of fruit and yogurt, fruit juices, desserts. Espresso machine (excellent!), cappuccino, milk and all types of hot drinks.
I also really liked the fact that the resort does not have closed spaces with very high air conditioning as used here: the rooms and reception are open, overlooking the swimming pools or a very well-kept greenery.
I also tried the gym, not as well equipped but functional during a relaxing stay: towels and water are provided for free; the air conditioning was too high, too cold, but that's a personal taste.
On the last day we asked for a late check out but until 6pm it had a cost of 2000 tbh, too much for our pockets, but we were able to leave our luggage at reception and continue to use the facilities' services.
What can I say ultimately... if one day I return to Phuket this will be my first choice, thanks also to the staff who are always smiling, helpful and ready to help you. Above all I cannot fail to mention Sky and Apple, thank you for your welcome and your warm daily smile!

I never appreciated how great customer service is until I came to this hotel - staff that are polite, greet you by saying “Hi!” and smiling when they see you, going out of their way to notice things they can help you with - that’s how I describe Chanalai Flora staff. Special thanks to Mee (great communication and genuine friendliness), Ploy, Or (amazing egg chef), Ice, Hong and Su who are just the nicest people I’ve met in Thailand.
Out of the 8 hotels I stayed at, the staff here were the friendliest and best trained by the management (at the level of Club Med or higher). For that, the hotel and especially the restaurant gives amazing value for what you pay.
The room itself could be upgraded with more decoration to feel warmer and more inviting, the bed could be better, but the hotel’s location next to the beach (5 mins walk) meant that while it wasn’t raining (now the monsoon season) I was at the beach anyway.
