The manager was friendly and helpful and the pool was very nice for a budget place. Making up of rooms was a little hit and miss: rooms were always tidied well but toilet paper and soap were not always topped up and one day my towels were taken but not replaced. These issues were quickly sorted out without fuss when...

Pool rooms are basic but comfortable. Well maintained by the staff, who are friendly. Rooms adjoining the pool have no privacy. Lights are on throughout the night making sleep difficult. Many people drinking and smoking outside the room from 10am onwards. Shower water doesn't flow into the plug automatically, you must manually remove the water yourself or walk through 10...

Stayed here for a few nights with my girlfriend in January 2017. It was a very nice stay and the room was clean, air conditioning was good and there was also a ceiling fan and fridge. I was surprised at the size of the room and bathroom. I have one complaint that the bathroom drain was quite smelly, this seemed...

Stayed here for 3 nights with our 4 year old. With our rented car, it was a 5 minute drive to Kata Beach. Positives: Swimming pool was large and well-maintained. No toddler pool though so use a float (available at time of writing) if needed. The place still looks pretty new. Our family room had 2 king beds, large fridge...

Nice rooms around a large pool (with green tiles). Housekeeping every day, fridge and a big bathroom. Chairs and sun beds around the pool. A little restaurant in the corner. Would have been happy if there were mattresses for the sun beds! Close to everything and even though it's located right at Patak road (main road) you don't hear the...

Not too expensive with good family rooms around a large pool. Walking distance to beach (about a kilometre) and beside shops chemist etc. Basic but has all the essentials eg air con, fridge in the rooms etc. Would recommend as a decent option for families.

I love Kata beach but most hotels in Kata are rather on the higher price range. Reading the previous review on a renovation just recently done,I decided to give this hotel a try. The price on booking.com was about USD28/night and it was well within my budget. I arrived at the hotel at 10am by minibus from the airport without...

Me, my girlfriend and some friends where stuck in a really crappy hotel and where on the search for something with less mold and a toilet that flushed. I found The Kata Resort on latestays and it had a reasonable price. After checking tripadvisor i wasn't that confident but it was really close so we decided to take a look......
