This hotel cannot be beaten for level of service. The most attentive and friendly staff from top to bottom. The manager Massimo is very hands on and can be often seen helping the staff. He is also never too busy to stop for a chat! The hotel has everything that you could need. The rooms are gorgeous, spotless clean and very spacious. The location cannot be beaten, 5 minutes walk to Kata beach and in the other direction to Kata nightmarket ( a must for excellent Thai food). There is a steep hill up to the hill so maybe not for anyone with mobility issues but the hotel do offer a tuktuk scheduled service down to the beach and we often timed it to get it back up. Breakfast is great with a great selection. Lunch & dinner also available. The head chef Naveen is so lovely and will often stop by to get to know his customers. Which is so nice.
While we were there, the staff made such a fuss of our 10 wedding anniversary that we were very touched.
This was our second time to visit this hotel and we will hopefully be back sometime this year.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights arriving from the lovely Grand Mercure Patong with a rental car at noon. After parking in front, a nice receptionist processed our prepaid check in; copying our passports, signing a form and making a 2,000 Thb deposit. After enjoying a pizza, we collected the key cards at 2PM, then followed the porter up 2 different elevators to the back building’s 4th floor.
Room #412 was marble tiled and spacious, opening to a closet area(hot pot, refer with spring waters), across a large bathroom with a bathtub and a tile shower, both with 15 second hot water. Then a firm king, large TV(clear Al Jezzera, CGTN, CNA, DW, France 24, HK and ~10 more channels), desk with chair, strong open wifi, good lighting/outlets and a quiet unobtrusive wall AC. A sliding door opened to a large balcony with 2 oversize chairs and a very limited seaview over the courtyard pools and distant trees.
I used the new underutilized 5 station gym and we took the 9AM shuttle for the short steep ride down to Kata Beach.
The 7AM breakfast buffet in the warm openair restaurant was complete with Western and Asian sections with 3 coffee machines.
This is a good hotel with a smiling youthful staff that caters primarily to young families. For us, it was overwhelming with children, especially in the large adult pool. The courtyard needs to be larger to provide all guests with a swimmable pool and some open lounge chairs.

We stayed at the Novotel avista for 14 nights and it was fantastic.

The staff are always willing to go above and beyond to help guests. Housekeeping is very friendly and thoughtful when turning the room around. Naveen the head chef is so personable and always willing to accommodate. My children loved seeing the characters are breakfast, it made his day! The ladies in kids club remembered my children’s names and were supportive when a child tried to push my son around. They ensured he was safe. Finally, Kong who always greeted us with a smile. My son called him his friend from the moment we walked in. The koi fishes are lovely at the entrance and you can feed them at certain times.

The hotel itself is very clean and the rooms spacious.

Located on top of a hill, they have a shuttle available every 30 mins to both drop and pick up from the bottom of the hill. The beach is 5 mins away and restaurants are a 10 min walk away.

Finally, I would like to mention the GM, Massimo. What an asset to Novotel! In all my travels, this would be the first time I have seen a GM lead by example and not just tell their staff what needs to be done. At breakfast when it can get very busy and slightly chaotic, you will see Massimo clearing tables and sweeping the floor.

Three bits of feedback are ;
Breakfast - as mentioned it can get really chaotic, you find your own table most times and because of that, unless you leave your belongings on the table it can get taken by another guest.
Spa - it’s not situated in the best place. It can get very noisy as it’s next to the pool and those can be a lot of shouting so not necessarily relaxing.
Gym - staying their for 2 weeks, it would have been great to have better facilities

I don't know who puts 5 in this hotel- the hotel is very old, the plumbing furniture is bathtub-- all very tired. The worst part is the smell in the room, stale, greasy. It's been really frustrating being here. So after one night in this room, the whole family got sick, probably contracted an infection either in the pool or in this rotten room. They asked me to change the room-- changed it to the same number, but no stale smell. Is that how you could check into a room like this? The children's pool is all falling apart- the lanes under your feet are made of Styrofoam floating, there's only fungus to pick up! Plus, it's about the kids, and there's a duck and a bath foam prepared for them. The room also has a baby hut and a lot of soft toys. In the morning, they turn on some station and it becomes impossible to sleep even with the window closed. Attaching a video It's just horror every 5:00 a.m. We'd wake up to this horrible sound. At the bar in the pool, the action on cocktails from 12 noon to 6 p.m., 2 for price 1, cocktails 250-280 batts on top of that add tax and tips on food drinks. The path is really very steep and very hard to climb - the transfer only goes to the very edge of Kata beach, where apart from the dirty sewers that flow into this very sea there is nothing interesting. All life on the other side of Kata beach or on Caron beach to which transfer Somehow does not go and had to walk 25 minutes each time to a cleaner Caron beach.
I don't understand hotel policy Why not make a transfer to two beaches!!! They're five minutes to any of the beaches, but it takes us a lot of effort and time to climb this hellish slide. Breakfast is monotonous except for delicious pancakes.
There is certainly no total disappointment at the fact that the service still more or less pulls this hotel and their hospitality to the children. But I certainly can't advise him, and if Sam knew where she was going, she would definitely choose another hotel.

Great experience at the hotel! Our first encounter was with the front desk staff who made our day after a longer than expected journey from the airport because of traffic jam. Shopper was superbly warm and bubbly and he made sure we settled well into our room. He took note that we would be departing very early for our return flight and breakfast boxes were provided for us. We were given a room with beautiful scenery of Kata Noi and I could even catch the beautiful sunrise from the balcony.

The hotel is generous with discounts be it meals in En Vogue restaurant, spa/massage and even complimentary water scooter at the pool. The regular shuttle service was also on time be it departure to or pick up from the beach. We enjoyed the breakfast spread and both the Thai and western food in the restaurant.

I’m also particularly thankful to Pu, our housekeeper who was meticulous in keeping our room clean and remembering our preferences. She was always friendly and made sure to check with us if she could clean our room whenever she saw us. She also took note of my preference not to have pink bedsheets for my children (who are both boys), which I really
appreciate.

The walk up the slope was challenging at first but it got better on subsequent climbs. In a way, I appreciate that the location of the hotel is up on a hill because it’s a nice and serene enclave that shields the resort from the crowd
and sounds of the main street.

Overall, it has been a wonderful experience and I would like to thank everyone in Novotel Phuket Kata Avista for the warm hospitality and wonderful service.

Excellent hotel! Great location. 5 minutes to Kata beach, 15 minutes to Karon. You can always choose something for breakfast. They change the preparation of dishes. Some legumes were cooked differently every day. Always fresh vegetables and fruits. Large selection of breads. Every day there is a soup of the day, always different soups. Various drinks, coffee, tea, juices, detox water. Lychee juice is love 🥰. Welcome drink upon meeting. The room is large and spacious. View from the room to the pool with palm trees. The room was cleaned every day, towels were changed every day. The room has a large double bed, a small sofa, a table, an ironing board, an iron, a refrigerator, enough shelves and hangers for two. In the bathroom there is a bath, shower, soap, shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste and brush, cotton pads, nail file. I needed some thread and a needle and they provided me with a small set. They open wine))) water every day, two or three bottles of 0.5 each. Luggage is brought in and taken out of the room. The area is very well maintained, cleaned, the pool is cleaned and chlorinated. There are flowers everywhere. There are live orchids in the lobby, not all hotels have them, mostly artificial ones. We came for Chinese New Year, they brought a small compliment to our room, thank you, very nice! We organized an evening for Chinese New Year with a buffet and tranny performances! Everything is within walking distance - shops, markets, cafes, pharmacies, massage parlors. The hill up to the hotel is very steep, but there is a plus: you can lose a couple of kilograms and tighten your legs and butt)))
They also gave me a small compliment when leaving!
Many thanks to the hotel administration and all the staff, you are great!
We will definitely come back to you! ❤️

From the serene location, away from Patong and its noise. Massimo and his team especially Exec. Sous Chef Naveen, ensure you get the luxury experience you expect from an Accor hotel with unmatched hospitality.

I highly recommend for families, and travellers seeking a peaceful experience next to the beach away from all the noise. The rooms are super tidy and the staff have great attention to detail, like greeting each guest at every interaction, free fruit and extra water in the room etc.

Amenities and facilities are wonderful, they have a great pool and the one for families is a nice addition, but the gym leaves a little to be desired. But it’s quickly made up with a cutting edge VR room, saw it for the first time at a hotel. Breakfast was great and loved the coffee, happy to see freshly ground coffee for each cup.

Cheers to the whole team, I will definitely be coming back here again.

The hotel is in a good location, 10 minutes walk from Kata Beach. There are several cheap restaurants on the road with good food. We booked a family room. The room is well decorated, the bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas, and there are two washbasins. The room is very big. The swimming pool is not very big, but it is enough. There are separate areas for adults, big children, and small children. The only thing to note is that there is a 100-200 meter steep slope at the entrance of the hotel. If you mind this, please consider it. But there are shuttle buses to and from Kata Beach every hour. The hotel staff are very good. There is a beautiful lady who speaks Chinese at the front desk who helped us a lot. In particular, their manager Manny is also very enthusiastic and helped us solve many problems.

We chose this hotel for our special 4-year wedding anniversary ceremony, and it didn't disappoint! Although we arrived before check-in time and had to wait for about an hour, it wasn't an issue as we could enjoy the hotel's facilities with our son, such as the kids' club and swimming pool.

However, one minor disappointment was when we tried to order iced coffee during the wait, only to be informed that the coffee machine was deactivated due to the breakfast service ending. This was something unexpected for an Accor Hotels experience.

Once we got to our room, we were pleasantly surprised to find that we had been upgraded to a room with an ocean view. A big shoutout to Mr. Atthapon Kulprasit for arranging such a fantastic room with special amenities for our memorable occasion. The attention to detail, including the iconic room scent, really stood out, putting Novotel Kata up there with our favorite Accor Hotels in Thailand.

The bellman team was exceptional, always greeting us with smiles and eye contact, unlike the front desk staff who seemed preoccupied with their computers. One suggestion would be to have staff periodically check the kids' pool area for safety, as we witnessed some unruly behavior from teenagers that could potentially harm younger children.

The hotel's location is excellent, not too far from the restaurant and bar hub. While the food at the hotel wasn't exceptional, I recommend dining outside for lunch and dinner.

Lastly, a big round of applause to the breakfast management team! Unlike many buffet-style breakfasts where the areas can be messy, they were quick to tidy up, making the food look even more appetizing and starting our mornings off right!

It's always a pleasure to receive so many positive feedback! However, we're sorry if our team didn't better explain that the coffee machine is being closed for our daily cleaning for 10 mins only, that is something we can definitely improve on. We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks. The location is perfectly situated on a hill in a quiet street, unlike some of the other busier hotels, so we had a very peaceful nights sleep. We have a daughter with a severe gluten allergy, this hotel was able to provide us with specific catered meals from their en vogue restaurant during our entire stay, which gave us confidence as we already had a visit to the hospital in ICU due to another restaurant outside of this hotel premises. The chef (Mariz) was very patient, understanding, and took responsibility for the kitchen the entire team. The General Manager (Massimo) personally greeted us and can be seen around the hotel floor helping the team out. A special mention to Ing, Lai, Pueng and Add for going over and beyond with our family and all other guests to ensure all our needs were met. They were very personable and approachable, and nothing was ever too hard for them to accomplish.
The hotel pool and kids club are worth a mention as we spent many hours in these areas. The only negative comment is that the restaurant was a bit pricey, considering the prices you can expect to pay outside the hitel. Nonetheless, the food was nice. Great work team, hope to be back in the future.

Beaches at Kata and Karon are beautiful with shallow tapers, ideal swimming. Guards are on duty but they are long Beaches and not too many Guards. Jet ski's, Parra sailing, and other activities. Snorkelling is probably best done by guided tours. We did an Island trip which had Snorkelling included.

For dinner, entree is a buffet selection of things like chicken nuggets and fruit platters. Lunch had an entree menu instead (delicious spring rolls on there). Dinner had a few noodle dishes like phad thai, some curries with rice, some burgers and pizzas. A decent mix of east and west, and a mix of spicy and mild. But after a few days we were a bit over it and mostly ate out. Lots of great options in Kata.
