Room small, window view to other people's windows...
Breakfasts are delicious, eat everything but lack the usual porridge..
Rooms are cleaned purely for appearance, the floor wash this do not know apparently.
And then in the afternoon, when you put the baby to bed for the afternoon nap, they come with the cleaning.
You pay $100 bail.
Fined for whatever, the child pissed himself fined.Women brought fruit (which is not allowed in the room allegedly )also fined.
There's a circus like this, there's no hot water in the shower yet. It's really fun to wash a baby in cold water.
Children's playground all murdered, not one whole toy I found..

This hotel is situated in a quiet street in kata

Only a very short walk to the beach & all the bars & restaurants.. also a great little cocktail bus just outside!

The hotel itself provided a comfortable stay …

Positives

* location .. close to beach
* rooms cleaned daily
*good wifi
*gym

Negatives

*mediocre breakfast
* short staffed pool bar not open until 5 you must use the cafe over the road for drinks
* no hand soap provided in room!!!
* staff were friendly enough but didn’t feel they went above & beyond to make the holiday ( you would be lucky if anybody was ever around! )

All in all an okay hotel but probably would nit stay again as I’m sure there are better options available

We moved to Beach Boutique from the Boomerang Village and we were pleased when we saw the room - it was fairly small but clean and stylishly decorated. I was bemused when I read other traveller's reviews referring to the "small pool" - I can only imagine they didn't know that there are three pools available (I have posted pictures of two of them) and two of them are a very decent size, one with a baby/toddler area and all of them kept immaculately clean.

The downsides for us were that the internet access was not free (that said, there were lots of terminals so we didn't have to queue) and all of the food we had there was terrible! Like another traveller noted, we were also told to 'go outside' to flag a taxi when we asked them to book one for us and the room had a kettle and teacups but no teabags/coffee to drink...which we thought was odd!

To be honest, I wouldn't really recommend Phuket as a destination as we found that it was overdeveloped, overpriced and not very beautiful compared to other Thai islands. BUT if you must go to Phuket, and specifically Kata, you could do much much worse than stay here.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. They do not care about guests experience, just money. They fine for everything, oil from your hair gets on the bedding £45 charge, my child dropped a glass.. charge, they even charge if you lose a teaspoon! They didn’t even ask if my son was ok, just a letter in the room with a charge. They tried to charge for a telephone that was never in the room to start with, they make guests feel like you can’t relax as they charge for everything, I think they forget guests have paid to stay!
I felt like I couldn’t enjoy a day out as I was worried about what letters with charges would be waiting.
The family rooms are on the third floor with no lift, if you check out at night they will tell you there’s no porter & expect you to carry your suitcase down the stairs.
They do not clean the rooms, just sweep the sand and make the bed. Housekeeping does not even have any cleaning products. Staying for 2 weeks the rooms should be cleaned! The ‘clean’ towels are filthy & grey, ‘clean’ bedding is stained.
The pool is full of green algae around the edges and the communal toilet is always dirty.
The staff at the pool bar cannot calculate properly. They didn’t charge us for something and on our return from a day out there was a group of staff waiting for us with our passport photos in the lobby as if we were criminals. So humiliating!
A water tanker delivers water throughout the morning, so you will not sleep in as the lorry is right outside the room beeping as it reverses at 7am!
Honestly save your money and book another hotel, you couldn’t pay me to stay here again.

Here now. Hotel very clean and swim up room lovely. But, thats about it. Non of the hotel facilities are open, once the mediocre breakfast is over you cannot get a drink or snack of any kind. There is a bar but closed. There are guests at the hotel but are forced to go out as the place is dead. Music sometimes in the moring but mainly nothing. No life, no atmosphere, not welcoming after a day out. Go elsewhere

The hotel cancelled our booking 2 weeks away from our New Years family holiday. I contacted the hotel several times via email, telephone and via Booking.com seeking information and re-book but received no response. I have now had seek alternative accommodation at an inflated price. Not acceptable and an appalling service from a hotel that clearly cannot be trusted.

We did not stay at the hotel, but just around the corner. We had a few meals at the Beach Boutique and liked the airy, cleanliness of the foyer area. The hotel is in a sidestreet off the main drag and quiter.
We walked past the spa every day until one day I decided to try their foot massage. Well after that we went daily and tried all their different treatments. My favourite was the Aloe Vera massage after I got a little sunburnt.
The small spa is on the side of the hotel next to the pool area - there are two ladies that know their business when it comes to proper Thai massages. You won't be disappointed. Same prices as the side street ones and better by a million miles!!
I hate being made to feel like I'm on a conveyer belt or just a moneybag like I sometimes feel in the many massage/nail/feet places where the girls call out to you. You won't feel like that here.

This spa is very dignified and you go in there and forget about all your worries and life hassles.
Both ladies are good, but specially the older lady is very, very good, respectful and very knowledgeable. She sorted out my husband shoulder issues.
The two rooms are super clean. Good aircon, nice atmosphere. Afterwards you are given a little fruit & hot tea. We gave them happily a tip every day and on our last day I bought them a small gift to say thank you. They were so happy and gave us in turn a small souvenir which we treasure.
We went every single day!!! Very, very worthy!! Do though make a booking !!!!

I went there with my family and two very young children.
We stayed there for 5 nights which we paid ahead. The hotel is too far from the beach, the swimming pool is very small.
On the day we were supposed to leave, we had to pay another 4000bht. We had unexpectedly a problem with our credit card. The manager did not want to compromise in any way possible and would not let us go. He pressurised us into giving him my diamond engagement ring and my wedding ring. It felt more like racketing and he was blackmailing us. If you don't give me your engagement and wedding rings, we won't let you go and we'll call the police.
We argued and argued to try to find another solution and the children were getting tired.
After a while being on the phone trying to solve what was going wrong with the credit card, the bank reactivated another card that we had so as to enable us to withdraw money.
The manager looked disappointed when made the payment and he had also called the police just in case we could not pay the 4000 bht. I was certainly not going to give him my rings. At one stage I even thought of letting my husband fly with the kids home to solve the problem and I would have stayed homeless in Phuket waiting for the next day.

Terrible and traumatic experience!!! Besides not very well located and far from the beach.

First impression of reception was good. We got to our room at around 4am and the shower did not work. Our bathroom had seen better days and was in need of repair. Next morning we reported the shower and came back from beach to find it still not working. Once fixed throughout the holiday the water was often cold. Breakfast was an adventure. They would take room number then it was free for all and often no tables were available. On one occasion my son was sitting at our table and a Russian woman came and sat at his table and refused to move! The hotel was full of very rude Russians probably 95% and the final blow came at the New Year Gala Dinner. We paid 14000 baht which equates to £280 for me, my wife and 2 children. We had to reserve our table in advance that took about 3 visits to reception and an hour with the member of staff. On the evening itself the staff were not very organised and showed us to our table. A Russian couple then came to our table and told us it was their table and we disagreed. They would not move and stood by our table while we tried to eat. Then the Russian woman shouted abuse at my family and left to go to another table and decided to sit staring at my 12 year old son. Eventually I took a photo and she then stuck her middle finger up at us, nice! We reported this to Lawrence the food and beverage manager who was hopeless and did nothing other than tell us they had got the wrong table and we asked for the general manager who apparently was not there but then magically turned up. we told him our New year had been ruined and we would like a refund and to go somewhere else but he refused and just offered us another table so we just left the hotel at 9pm, happy new year! The bar staff were very disorganised and never had cash to give change if you wanted a drink. When we checked out they overcharged us for drinks in room that we didn't have but we just paid in the end to get away. The beach is about 10 minutes away but you have to walk down a stinking pathway which is far from paradise. Maybe we were unlucky but the mobs of rude Russians and the management not dealing with our issues was very disappointing with our experiences here I would definitely not stay here and look for somewhere else.
