A beautifully restored 250-year old olive cortijo, hidden away amongst the olive groves south of Iznajar, with stunning, ever-changing views of the Sierra Nevada and the valleys. 6-star service, home from home, a little corner of paradise are but a few items of praise we have received. A warm welcome awaits is our motto, but we may need to change it soon to: so good you won't want to leave!

Bernadette and Patriek have created a fabulous oasis. The rooms, pool and surroundings are all fantastic and you absolutely have to eat here - Patriek’s food is amazing. We arrived as guests and left as friends - very relaxed friends. Thank you!

If you are looking for a complete getaway from all the stresses and strains of today's crazy world....you need look no further. Cortijo La Haza is a magical place that makes it all happen. Set amongst the rolling olive groves the hotel offers stunning views and total peace and quiet. You can almost hear the olives growing while you lay back and relax with the odd swim here and there. A car is a must to get there and back but whilst you are there, there is really no need to leave, as hosts Bernadette and Patriek provide a home from home experience. The home cooked meals are superb and the wine a delight. If you do want to do some travelling then La Haza if positioned almost equidistant from Malaga and Granada both equally fabulous. Cordoba City is full of Moorish history and compact enough for a day's sightseeing. The nearby town of Iznajar is well worth a visit especially to see the dam that holds back the waters of the largest reservoir in Andalucia.

La Haza is a small, cozy, familiar cortijo. It's plenty of tiny quiet corners, and everything is covered with full, fine, details. The host family is very kind and takes care of everything with loving dedication. There is the possibility of having the dinner in the same cortijo's patio, cooked also by the owners as delicatessen. The rooms are ample, cozy and absolutely clean. It's perfect place for a weekend for small groups. All the staff were very kind and loveable, including the cats! They speak english, spanish and dutch at least.

If you want an example of how perfect this delightful cortijo is then all we can say is we now hold the record for the shortest gap between stays! Originally we had booked for just four nights as we believed there wasn't sufficient availability for our full holiday (we'll let Patriek explain that to you!). In the end, so enraptured by our initial stay, we cancelled our next cortijo and booked in for longer here! The hosts Bernadette and Patriek are exceptionally good hosts, they are friendly, welcoming, and very helpful in terms of where to go and where to eat/drink in Iznájar and the surrounding area. The gardens are superbly maintained, the infinity pool clean and spacious, and the food.... well it was absolutely wonderful! The rooms are cleaned daily, they are air conditioned for those afternoons when it is just too hot, and the layouts (we had more than one room!) are great! A big plus for us was being able to sit outside after sunset with a bottle of wine and see just how many stars are up in the sky when the light pollution is minimal. This really is a beautiful place to stay, something we could only have dreamed of finding, and we will absolutely be back next year!

We had the most wonderful lunch at Cortijo La Haza yesterday. The food was so tasty, even better than as described on the menu. The peaceful setting, attention to detail, warm welcome, and the view added to the experience. The Cortijo has lots of parts to it and is a most interesting building with a variety of spaces to sit and enjoy. Top class, a sincere thank you to Bernadette and Patrick.

We have eaten many times with friends and family at Cortijo La Haza, and always enjoyed delicious meals cooked by Patriek and a fantastic welcome from Bernadette. However last weekend for a treat we booked in for dinner, bed and breakfast. Our room was fabulous with views from the balcony over the surrounding countryside. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with air conditioning and a spacious, modern bathroom. with instant hot water - such a treat in rural Spain. Dinner in the pretty courtyard as always was beautifully prepared and presented. For breakfast we had a wonderful choice of dishes and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we chose. Bernadette and Patriek's adherence to Covid requirements in these difficult times was exemplary.

We had another delicious dinner in the courtyard of Bernadette and Patrick. The food is exceptional and this time we particularly enjoyed the home made lemoncellio. The setting is beautiful and the welcome is so warm. I cant think of a nicer place to spend an evening. It is indeed our favourite place in the area

Wow, truly a charming place! You can really feel how the owners, Bernadette and Patriek, take care of every detail be it in the house, garden or terrace. The room was spacious enough, beds comfortable (had really good sleep there!) and everything there was very tidy and well organized. Lots of places to relax (or even hide at) and views from the infinity pool are simply stunning! Couldn´t be more happy with our stay there. And I can't forget about the great dinner and breakfast we had there (they prepare dinners every day ... and actually did drive down to Malaga to get the best galician pork for ours just on the day we arrived!).

I stayed at Cortijo La Haza with my husband and 10 year old son in August. It was a great base to explore Andalucía. Bernadette is a fantastic host and was always on hand to recommend restaurants and places of interest. She couldn't do enough for us and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and the food is amazing! Patriek is a fantastic chef. We were moved on our 2nd day to a larger room with a balcony with a view over the olive groves. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect holiday. We will be back!

Just returned from five days spent here and it's almost impossible to fault. The rooms are tasteful, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The infinity pool is a delight as are the many places to sit around the grounds when the sun is shining or even when it isn't. The breakfasts are superb - a buffet with something to suit every taste. We had dinner here three times and the standard of the food was consistently high. The home made soups were a particular delight. The owners and their team provide first class service so you don't want for anything. I celebrated a birthday during our stay and was even given a bottle of fizz on the house. HIghly recommend if you like rural retreats with a touch of style.
