Stayed here en route from the channel tunnel to our cottage in central France. Visually a beautiful and imposing building in its own grounds in a semi-rural setting. Norbert the host was welcoming and waiting up for us as we arrived quite late. Mid October and we were the only guests. We stayed in the cheapest suite and it was... More

This was our first time to visit France. What an introduction! What a welcome! Our room was most spacious overlooking a pasture. A most calming site. We had all the amenities we needed. Only drawback was no screens on windows and there were many flies, but they were dealt with immediately. Breakfast was absolutely terrific . Fresh croissants , baguettes,... More

We have stayed here as a family three times now over the past 5 years and it never disappoints. This is a petite chateau with a small number of beautiful rooms set in rural France. It is run by one family who are great fun, friendly but never in your face. The grounds are filled with goats, ponies, chickens and... More

We spent a night here 4 years ago and had such a wonderful time that we decided to visit again on the way back from our holiday. I am always a bit dubious about visiting somewhere again - especially if you had such a good time the first time around as there is a propensity to be disappointed! Thankfully we... More

We recently stayed at Chateau de Behen and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone travelling in that part of France. The Chateau is privately owned by four brothers and has been in their family for over 60 years. We were really well looked after, both our rooms were upgraded to suites and the countryside round their is just fabulous. Evening... More

This little chateau, just outside of Abbevilleis a delightful place for a stopover or a few days. You wonder about the setting as you approach, but once in the gates you know you've arrived somewhere special. The black swan on the pond, the ponies and donkey out the back, and hopefully, the aroma of your dinner this evening, cooking! Norbert,... More

We stayed here for one night on our way back to England from the Loire and could have stayed much longer. Our room was delightful with the most beautiful view over trees, lawns and fields of horses. I could go on about the lovely house, the comfy beds, the absolute gastronomic WONDER that was our supper - but what really... More

A must for any traveller requiring stopover in France if travelling down south or back to England as well as those wishing to explore the region. The rooms were large and well equipped and the common rooms were a delightful step back into bygone era. Dine in candlelight, with a home cooked fresh food four course meal with excellent wine,... Charming welcome by members of the owner's family. Considering the age of the property bathrooms and beds were modern. We stayed in a spacious suite on the first floor overlooking the duck pond.We did not have an evening meal so cannot comment, however the continental breakfast was excellent. The main charm of this chateau style is the warm and friendly... More

Enjoyable two night stay with the family in second floor rooms. Impressive outside somewhat let down by an interior that could do with a little upgrading. The animals in the grounds got the kids attention and the hosts showed us the storage for the WW2 V1 bombs.
