We booked in advance to stay near Chinon on our way through the Loire valley. The house is wonderfully situated outside the village of Panzoult, and has superb views from its tranquil location. We had the large room on the ground floor, which is huge and tastefully decorated. The room has en suite facilities, with wet room style shower facility...

We are a young family of five, and we just spent time in Paris, drove south into the Loire Valley, then onto Bordeaux, then to Barcelona. We spent two evenings at La Baumoderie, and it was the highlight of our trip. The setting is beautiful, the room was spacious and clean, and Anne, the host, was kind and generous. I...

Jean-Francois and Anne have a lovely house, elegantly and comfortably furnished, with supreb views and a "retired" hen called Carmen! We stayed with them for four nights and with dinner provided by Anne on one evening. They were both charming hosts: breakfasts and dinner were all one could wish for. Nothing was too much trouble. We will stay there again....

La Beaumoderie is a lovely house in a beautiful position, very peaceful, with far reaching views and our hosts were very friendly. We were in the downstairs room which was very well appointed and we spent a couple of hours relaxing in the lovely garden after we arrived. Anne provided a very tasty four course supper for us with fresh...

Stunning location, immaculate lodging, charming proprietor, and encounter with nature. Baumoderie's location allows you to leave your worries behind, as you are surrounded by a vineyard and a field of sunflowers, and up on a hill overlooking a large stretch of greenery. We received a very friendly welcome, and as we rounded the corner to approach the stairway, we were...

Jean-François and Anne have gone out of their way to make us feel more than comfortable. We had some rather special needs and they were quick to adjust beyond our expectations. Breakfast will never be the same without Anne's tomato confiture and we'll remember her courgette gratin for many days to come. The marmalade made from Sevilla's oranges was another...

What a great find... A beautiful countryside setting between L'Ile Bouchard and Chinon. Anne and Jean-Francois were both welcoming hosts. They soon set about about trying to make us a restaurant booking in L'Ile Bouchard but it turns out both restaurants there are closed on a Tuesday! Jean-Francois also directed us to the local wine co-operative where we could buy...

We stayed at this delightful chambre d'hotes last year for a couple of nights and couldn't wait to return, this time for a little longer. Anne and Jean-Francois are delightful genteel hosts and the welcome was warm. My husband and Jean-Francois share a love of wine and we picked up many tips and were able to visit a couple of...

Very nice choice! If you do not have a GPS, better to get exact information. Little bit hard to find. But the room was large, really clean, the breakfast was exquisite, with lots of home made jams... But the best part of it is... the owners. They make you feel at home, helped a lot with information about places to...

Simply perfect! Located on a little hill with a spectacular view. Calm and wonderful. Perfect place to relax and experience "dolce vita". Great breakfast prepared by the friendly owners themselves. We chose it for a stop-over while visiting the Loire Castles (Chinon is 20km away)

“Upstairs family suite was idyllic”
of 5 bubbles ChodieCA, Jun 4, 2015 | Read review
“On a practical note. There are 2 rooms available. The suite is accessed by a rustic staircase that runs outside the cottage. There is a french balcony with a door that looks onto the vegetable patch (perfect for morning sun salutations). You'll also find a double (140x200) and a sofa bed. The suite makes sense for a family. And a shower and separate toilet. The garden room was very practical (no stairs - also good for elderly), with doors opening to the garden, a king size bed and a spacious shower room.”

“We have stayed upstairs and down, have to say I did prefer the downstairs room, the bathroom is a little bigger, as is the bed!”

“All excellent but we enjoyed ground floor room with direct access to seating area and no adjoining rooms so total peace!”
