We had two evening meals and both times the food and service were very good. A very busy bar and restaurant but very friendly staff. I recommend the sea bass which was delicious. It is better to book as its a very popular venue.

We had room 1, very nice room but very strong smell of damp, there was a dehumidifier in the room but to noisy to keep going all night, room was cold too and didn't warm up till middle of night with a electric heater.

Booked a table for a busy night for our 20th anniversary and we had the choice of the bar area or the outside courtyard. The courtyard is split into pretty private areas with a range of seating styles and my wife and I enjoy the different character that offers, as well as the courtyard garden itself. We had a fantastic... More

Oh dear. Screamed at to get out by the chef because we suggested the food was cold. Staff in fear of a very angry owner. Not a nice place at the moment. Such a shame as this was always a favourite place to go

Went here for a family meal, the service was great, the food was great and the setting is brilliant. The only thing I would say is that it is very loud in here and if you want a quiet meal or to talk it may not be ideal you kind of find yourself shouting over other tables

Gorgeous food! Lovely selection of drinks and desserts to die for! What else is there? It's on a beautiful canal. The inside is well maintained, gorgeous old 14 or 15th century farm house. the staff are very friendly, helpful with food suggestions and very attentive! The ambiance is warm and welcoming. Go relax, enjoy your meal with good friends and... More

I stayed the night after finding this pub via Booking.com and decided that for £70 for the night it was worth a try. I stayed in room 1 as pictured and the room was done to a very high standard. The pub itself is lovely and the food was top drawer, however not much under £13. Staff were great and... More

Had a beautiful meal here. Beautifully cooked and tasted great. Had the mixed meat roast and my husband had the sirloin steak. A little pricey but worth it. Pudding was delicious Had the brandy snap basket with raspberry sorbet, was to die for. Excellent service.

This is a typical old world type English country pub located beside a canal in lovely countryside. It seems to be very popular with locals and we were with 2 people who visit it regularly. The lunch menu looked good to start with but there were too many dishes deep fried and most had chips of one kind or another.... More
