We had a very pleasant stay in the Auberge. We stayed in a suite which was a small house in the beautiful garden. Everything was good - including an early dinner for our children in the bar - but the restaurant is fabulous!

Magnificent pool amidst the trees and beautiful gardens. Large unique rooms and suites across the property in 4 buildings with terraces overlooking the gardens. Staff polite and well trained, excellent service and rooms immaculately clean, quaint luxury in a priceless setting

Gorgeous medieval property. Hotel rooms are in the cutest cottages. Quaint, cozy, luxurious. The restaurant had an extensive wine list. Great service. Very traditional decor. Beautiful quiet setting. Lovely outdoor pool and dining area.

Reception area and Bar full of beams and leather sofas, quite imposing and very different to our previous hotels . The restaurant was much brighter and more inviting. Our accommodation in a semi detached cottage within the grounds was well appointed but rather gloomy, due to it's position in a shaded part of the grounds and surrounded by shrubs. The... More

A historic location, very good kitchen, very confortable and definitively calm, so this member of Relais et Chateaux fully meets expectation. Splendid great garden including big swimming pool, tennis and badminton courts. We had a very nicely decorated and confortable apartment, perfect for parents with 2 kids. The kitchen reflected well the one Michelin star, service struggling to reach or... More

We stayed here 6 months ago, in Oct 2015 and had a grand time. So good in fact that we really did need to return. Our room, #119 this time, was in fact a whole cottage with bedroom, huge bath, sitting /living room and entry hall. With no rooms above us it was wonderfully quiet. Fresh potted flowers were in... The dingy front hall set the pace. My room was ok but it had very tired fabrics and a feel of just being there too long without renovation. Very mildly welcoming staff... Dinner in the hotel was of full-on French nouvelle cuisine food with staff that appeared formal and respectful but they felt off-hand whether they meant to be or... More

We booked a standard room, which turned out to be a small home. It had to be due to the off-season nature of the booking, but the incredible "house" we had could never be called a standard room. In the area, by far the best place to eat and drink and just relax, or head for the vineyards of Sancerre... More

I am not sure who to blame. Booked this hotel through Trip Advisor website with Hotels.com. Paid and received all the email confirmations guaranteeing reservation etc. Drove across France looking forward to lovely 5 star stay to find hotel closed with sign saying not opening until 9th March. Communication is obviously very bad here. No mention on website of closure... More

It is turning into our Christmas tradition to arrive for apero's on Christmas day, followed by the most superb lunch, followed with port/armagnac/cigars on the terrace, followed by a snooze in one of the luxurious rooms. (Even the standard rooms are fab). This place never fails to live up to my expectations, with great, friendly, professional staff and the most... More
