If you seek total rest and relaxation, at a wonderful venue with excellent management and staff, then Ratua is such a place. We have been travelling the Pacific for over 40 years, stayed at all the great places and Ratua is at least the equal to any of our other favourite places. From the outset the management team (Bong and... More

We had such an amazing time here. It was me, my 4yo and 2yo, my parents and my sister. We stayed in the "dragon" villa. We had our own beach immediately off the villa, we never saw another person on it. Claude, Robin and Johnny are utterly fabulous. Claude took us around the island a couple of times in his... More

I really can’t rave enough about this island, so be prepared, this is a long review! Ratua seriously has it all - a beautiful & protected bay with white sandy beaches, azure-blue water so clear you don’t need a snorkel set to see the abundant and amazing marine life (including many resident turtles I paddle-boarded with every day), horses you... Ratua is an incredible place. The island itself is so lush with vegetation and the surrounding water is gin clear and just full of fish jumping out of the water. The snorkeling was superb and the kayaks were very good quality. The accommodation are Balinese huts which feel traditional and rustic but also luxurious and decadent. The beaches were beautiful... Ratua is the most amazing place I have ever stayed. The location is incredible, the ocean is teal blue and full of life. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Nothing is a problem. The food is fresh and delicious, much of it produced on the island. Swimming with the horses was such fun! We'll be back. Thanks, Ratua!

We arrived by boat with our 3 children in the dark to be welcomed by staff on the Jetty lit by lanterns singing a welcome song and handing out complimentary drinks. We had a good feeling. We were guided to the most amazing 200 year old Indonesian huts which were very spacious. There was even a beautiful 200 year old... More

The staff, the food, the accommodation, the facilities, the activities and the ability to completely relax are just a few of the reasons this island shines. There are tours to unbelievably beautiful places like Champagne Beach and Blue Hole swimming or you can just sit on the beach, read, swim, snorkel with the turtles or play games in the games... If you have to have air conditioning forget it. Sea breezes & fans & swimming only. Having said that the tropical beauty, the staff, the food, the snorkeling & fishing etc are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for our hosts Bong & Aileen or the staff. If you want to relax & chill out come here. Some costs but... More

What a fabulous time we had at Ratua! We felt like the only people there. Thank you to Claude for a truly Ni-Vanuatu experience around the island; to Johnny for allowing us to swim with the horses; to Robin for an inspiring Legend of Kava experience; to Mo for the quiet & serene canoe trip to the Blue Hole &... This is not your every day resort, it is SO MUCH MORE. A place where you can experience everything or relax and do nothing at all. We loved staying in a traditional style hut, and still feel the comforts of a 5 star resort. The food was beyond amazing. The managers made it feel like a home away from home... More
