After a few fantastic bird filled days in the Bukk hills, Joanne and I, Ade and Jeanette travelled to the Kiskunsag area. En-route we saw White Tailed and Eastern Imperial Eagle and a blurred heat hazy blob sat on a pylon which was a Saker Falcon! Just before arriving at the Kondor Eco Lodge we stumbled across the local European...

Spent 5 days at the Eco Lodge in August. Andrea and Gabor were excellent hosts providing great food and best birding site advise. We did not have to roam far, even seeing Great Bustard close to the Eco Lodge. Visited other places within a hours drive making for a productive and enjoyable week.

We went back to Kondor Ecolodge for a week in September. We again travelled by public transport from Budapest - public transport is free in Hungary for over 65s from Europe. On arrival it was like being greeted by old friends, Best of all we were the only two guests because it was the end of season. The food was...

A very quick stay on the back of a business trip - spent just 1 night and 24 hours here. I'm still in awe at how much wildlife I managed to see in such a short time. Much of that was thanks to Gabor, the lodge owner, who guided for me in the local Kiskunsag area. He knows all the...

We spent 1 week at Kondor Eco lodge in july 2015. We wanted to visit the Kiskunsag National Park and focus on birdwatching and other wildlife. Andrea and Gabor are wonderful hosts and their eco-lodge is a perfect base for exploring the surrounding nature areas. Their knowledge of the birds of other wildlife is excellent. We can also reccomend to...

We have just returned from a Quest for Nature trip based for a week at the Kondor EcoLodge. It was superb in every aspect. Gabor took us to places in the Kiskunsag to show us birds, dragonflies, butterflies and anything else that was there. He and Andrea are such a knowledgeable, friendly and hospitable couple that it was a unique...

No one would ever mistake the Kondor Eco-Lodge for one of the immaculately manicured, carefully designed, African game lodges that abound in that huge continent. On the contrary, during the two nights we had the pleasure of being there, there were weeds virtually everywhere. The fascinating little lake with its birdwatching "hide" located just a few feet from the rooms...

I recently returned from a birdwatching tour organised by Gabor and Andrea, owners of Kondor EcoLodge. Gabor and Andrea met me and two other guests, at Budapest Airport. From there we travelled to Noszvaj, Bukk National Park, where we stayed at the lovely Hotel Nomad for 3 nights. Each day our hosts took us out into the beautiful Hungarian countryside...

Andrea and Gabor are excellent hosts, and having spent a week in their company being shown the wildlife of Kiskunsag and the Bukk hills, I feel we are old friends. You can stay at their Eco Lodge and do your own thing, but they know the area so well that time is well spent with them. We saw so many...

We arranged our 3 day visit to Kondor Tanya Lodge in September at just a few days notice. Our aim, as novice birders, was to see some of the birdlife of the Kiskunság National Park under expert guidance. Gabor and Andrea welcomed us and with great flexibility guided us around the puszta and marshes to suit the weather during our...
