Almost dark on a very cold winter’s evening and a gale force wind blowing and we needed accommodation! As we drove into Springbok we saw some advertising boards for local B&B establishments. I phoned several – all were full. Old Mill was our fifth call and the owner had a room for us. What a welcome he gave us a... More

We chose this lodge for an overnight stop on our road trip. The owner was very helpful including supplying dinnerware etc for us to cook our own Braai in the lovely garden. We stayed in the old house which has large, comfortable, old fashioned rooms and bathrooms. The property is also very secure. Breakfast could have been better & wifi... More

Old charm, but clean rooms with AC and big bathroom. Breakfast ok. Overall more the charm of a hotel rather than a lodge or guest house, as service is not very personal. Abundance of free parking onsite.

Friendly staff welcomed us (a family with an one and a half year old boy) late at night. Everybody was very helpful. The room was spacious and fully equiped (including hairdryer). The garden is beautiful and the rates are OK. Breakfast is served between 7 and 9 (a little longer would have been nice for us). The selection of food... More

We have stayed at the Old Mill Lodge a couple of times - always en route from Namibia to Cape Town. It has a fantastic garden, a friendly pooch and spacious and comfy rooms, oh yes and wi-fi. The rooms are nicely equipped - there is even a radiator and heating blankets for chilly nights. Owner and staff are very... More

After a long drive from Windhoek en route to Cape Town, we arrive in Springbok at the end of what seemed to be an ANC rally. We meander around the town looking for a place to stay. First stop from the highway was Mountain View …after seeing that the couple requesting accommodation was inter racial she (the owner) no longer... More

This was my 2 & 3rd visit to this guesthouse. (First and last night of trip). They are consistent in their service. The rooms are clean and spacious enough. Our group stayed in two of the family rooms: Kalkoentjiebos & Perdebos. Kalkoentjiebos (the room we stayed in) has one double bed, & 2 single beds. The sleeper couch is VERY... More
