Would definitely recommend the Sunday roast. Tasty, plentiful and lovely friendly generous chef. The food was great. However the venue is pretty dated. The bar and dining room could really do with a refit/ update. The staff are friendly. The beer is good. The service is good.

Called into the Tower Hotel for a welcome drink. The Hotel is situated up a flight of steps from the market place or from the car park up a small incline. The bar area is small but has a good range of ales so you shouldn't go dry. It also does B&B so could be a great base to start... More

18 of us have just returned home from an absolutely brilliant weekend staying in the Tower Hotel in Talgarth. Run by the lovely Jan & Pip, it is a fantastic and great value place for big groups of friends to get together and enjoy the Brecons. The dorm rooms were very clean, full of comfy beds and the showers were... More

I’ve stayed at the Tower Hotel in Talgarth many times over the last 25 or so years but not recently so I was really interested to see how it was doing. Well it is in really good hands and I couldn’t say that it has ever been better than it is now. From the friendly welcome, good choice of local... More

OK, so we were lucky enough to have perfect weather, but to top it all we were incredibly well looked after. Rooms were lovely, clean and well equipped, as well as great value for money. Hosts couldn't have been more welcoming (as were the locals) and for cyclists the secure lock-up and jet wash was real bonus. The area is... More

30+ cyclists and support staff stayed at the Tower, utilising a bunk house over the road for the over spill. Jan and Pip could not have been more helpful. Fantastic buffet dinner and breakfast for lots of very hungry people. Thanks for the donation Jan - we're up to £13,500 so far !!!!

The Tower Hotel is a very friendly and welcoming place. Our bedroom room was huge, bed comfortable, the linens (and towels) were soft, brilliant white, crisp and clean. The breakfast well cooked, of epic proportions and truly delicious. The decoration and fabric of Victorian building is a bit dated and careworn with age but the place is all the more... More
