Truly . . . there are no words to describe exactly the perfection of Casa Flamboyant. The property itself is heaven - perched overlooking verdant, pristine rainforest, surrounded by flowers, and beautifully, artfully decorated. However, it's Ricky and Florin's incredible hospitality and warmth that are the soul of Casa Flamboyant. We've traveled extensively around the world, and always love staying in boutique hotels and bed & breakfasts; this has been our best experience, anywhere. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the gorgeous natural setting, the beautiful design, and careful attention to detail - to say nothing of those gourmet breakfasts! It's also a perfect launching point for exploration off-the-beaten track of El Yunque, which we thoroughly enjoyed (when we weren't soaking in the waterfalls on Casa Flamboyant's property). Muchas gracias to Ricky, Florin, Mara and Obi for the wonderful memories. We can't wait until our next visit.

My girlfriend and I spent only one night at Casa Flamboyant. We wish we could have stayed for an entire week! Ricky and Florin are terrific hosts. The view from the ginger room is absolutely stunning. The pool area is also amazing with a view of the ocean in the distance. The breakfast was outta this world and they use locally sourced ingredients. There are two waterfalls off in the distance. Unfortunately, we did not get to utilize their private hiking trails as it rained the night we arrived and the trails remained muddy the next day. After all, you are in a RAINforest. All the more reason for us to return. We can’t wait to see you both again! Thanks for everything.

My husband and I lucked out with an overnight stay. Book early and stay longer than you originally thought. We hiked their private trail down to the falls and it was somewhat strenuous and so rewarding when we finished. Use the bamboo sticks on site for hiking and refresh in the spring fed dipping pool. Their breakfast fruit, food, and plants onsite were just phenomenal. We will definitely be back!

This place is on another level. We stayed in the Ginger Room and enjoyed privacy, outdoor terrace overlooking waterfall to enjoy wine together, the gorgeous pool, unbelievable breakfast from scratch and especially the trails on the property. We were able to walk to the National Park and used Ricky’s impeccable recommendations for dining outside the property. We will be back...like a thousand times over!

My wife and I stayed here for two nights while visiting Puerto Rico. The property and surrounding rainforest are absolutely beautiful! We stayed in a very nice room with a private balcony overlooking the mountainside and rainforest with views of several waterfalls. I expected our stay to be a bit hot. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the temperature up in the mountains was quite cool with a nearly constant breeze. I could literally have sat down and fallen asleep anywhere with the comfortable climate. I was also surprised that it was not buggy! You are literally in the rainforest so you would expect insects flying around. Not here. Just birds and frogs which provided an impressive concert in the evening. The property itself is beautiful with an impressive botanical display. You can walk through the garden consisting of various tropical fruits and you can take a hiking path to a nearby waterfall that adjoins the property. If you wish to explore further the property is literally within walking distance of the South entrance to El Yunque. The South side is cut off from the rest of the park system due to a landslide that occured some time ago, but you can still hike quite a long way into the rainforest along the original park road. There is even a picnic area with shelter houses that you can easily walk to. Due to the South side being cut off from the rest of the park there are very few visitors on this side. You almost get the rainforest to yourself. The owners of Casa Flamboyant, Ricky and Florin are two of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. Ricky is an amazing host with a gift for working with people. One word of advice, Do Not Miss Breakfast! Florin may not call himself a chef but don't let him fool you, he can cook with the best of them! Casa Flamboyant is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have ever visited. Ricky and Florin have created a true piece of paradise.
