The location is outstanding - the scenery is similar to Austria/Switzerland I guess but the sounds in particular are quite distinctive as is the aroma from the surrounding tea bushes. It's not camping as you would know it - the utilities are built in to the tented area and the overall space available is good. It's a rough ride up...

You need a good car for the last stretch to get here. So this retreat is really remote. The lodge is set high in the hills with luxury tents which offer an unrivalled view over the tea plantation and the knuckle range mountains. You can watch tea workers at work all around (hard work). This was our base for some...

My husband and I stayed 3 nights. The lodge feels like it is on top of the world! 360 degree views over the knuckle ranges and surrounding tea plantations. We did several hikes (2-4 hours each) and learnt lots of interesting things from our hotel guide about the local culture, tea and local flora and fauna. We also had a...

Accommodation is a luxury tent high up in the tea plantation with spectecular views of the surrounding plantation and of the distant knuckle range mountains. It does take the best part of an hour to get up to the plantation from the main road, climbing up through the plantation and small villages, and the final stretch of road being single...

Some of the reviews for this place have been nothing short of hilarious. The wifi is slow, the shower isn't piping hot, the journey up is long, the selection of food is limited, the tent was noisy when it was windy. May I remind anyone visiting this place that you are over 1000 meters above sea level right in the...

Amazing location, tranquil setting, great views, glamorous camping tents and very friendly service. We stayed here just for one night and very much enjoyed the place. Most memorable moments included: Sleeping in a luxurious safari style tent, listening to call of prayer, the perfect sunrise reflection in a mirror like pool and playing a game of chess while sipping on...

My husband and I were on our honeymoon and we were looking for somewhere special to kick-start our trip in Sri Lanka. Madulkelle Tea and Eco Lodge certainly didn't disappoint! They exceeded our expectations in every way and we ended up extending our trip because we didn't want to leave. We stayed in one of the Deluxe rooms and everything...

It took us 5 hours to reach Madulkelle from Kandy so we were exhausted by the time we reached there, but the trek was definitely worth it. Spectacular views over the valley and 180 degree views of mountains and beautiful skies morning and night. Staying in a luxury tent was an interesting experience. The bed was very comfortable, bathroom area...

We stayed 1 night here and wished we would had stayed longer. The location is absolutely outstanding and the views hard to beat. In addition, sleeping in a luxury tent adds to the experience. The tents are well equipped and very nice standards. The bed was very comfortable. The reason why I do not give 5 stars is: Given the...
