The cottages are both fully self-contained, serviced and sit right on the edge of Fiordland National Park. We are only a 2 minute drive away from the picturesque township of Manapouri which sits on the shores of beautiful Lake Manapouri. Manapouri is complete with a store, Post Office, two cafes, a restaurant and hotel and is a great place to relax and enjoy one of New Zealand's most spectacular lakes.

We stayed one night before our overnight doubtful sound cruise and loved everything about the cottage. I wish we had come from Queenstown sooner and stayed here longer. The cottage is spotlessly clean, the bed is comfortable with fresh pillows, sheets, everything is immaculate.

Hi Ian, Apologies for the lack of response - I have just found your review now. Thank you so much for such a glowing review - we are happy that you had a pleasant stay in Manapouri. Certainly my pick of places if you want some where off the beaten pathway that generally leads to a stay in Te Anau. Unfortunately much as we would also love to try to keep the place a secret hideaway I think the secret about Manapouri has got out! It was lovely to meet you both and thanks again for finding us and staying at the cottages. Take care, Jo

We stayed here early February as we had an overnight trip on Doubtful Sound. The cottage was spotlessly clean, with all the facilities you could need, and it has an amazing view. It was really quiet and relaxing. It's a short walk into the centre of Manipouri (about 5 mins)

This was the best equipped place that we stayed in on our travels around New Zealand. Everything had been thought about and provided - it even had a washing and drying machine. Really clean and tidy and neat. Met by the charming area and told about paces to eat. Thoroughly
