Definitely had that rustic lodge feel with wood beams, concrete floor, and wooden door. The room was huge with two double beds, a chair, and a diner style wooden booth. The room had a space heater which worked well. No safe or mini fridge. The balcony was large and had an outstanding view of the river, mountains, and Dzong across the river. Wifi worked well. I was able to video chat on WhatsApp. The bathroom was huge also with a walk in shower. The shower head was rain bird style and was plenty high enough for me at 6'4". Plenty of hot water. The food was pretty good.

The road to the lodge is quite confronting but the views from the room are well worth the drive. The rooms are large, the bathroom being almost the size of many hotel bedrooms. The meals were excellent and the breakfast was served outside facing the spectacular view. Staff were friendly and helpful. A couple of minor negatives were the lack of hangers or space for clothes and the very limited range of drinks. Would highly recommend particularly for the view.

We spent 2 nights here and were generally impressed. The room and bathroom are spacious and the bed ( 2 singles pushed together) large and comfortable and the shower is clean with a plentiful supply of hot water. The wifi is also amongst the best we have experienced in Bhutan and there is a spacious balcony with beautiful views The manager and staff are helpful and pleasant and the food is good and the service excellent My only criticism is the lighting in the bedroom which is depressingly poor ( hence 4 instead of 5 stars) Overall we enjoyed our stay and would certainly return, particularly if the bedroom lighting was improved

Ambience: 5* for stunning views of the valley below with wide balconies for chill-out Room: 4* for spaciousness and aesthetics but hot water supply reliant on solar energy is at best weak and inconsistent. A point that would make me hesitate to come here in winter. Food: 5* best vegetarian food I’ve ever had in Bhutan so far. Fly situation seems an issue that cannot be helped in a country that does not kill. Service: 4.5* staff are attentive and respond immediately and effectively to guests’ concerns.

We stayed here for 2 nights and the room is huge, the bathroom too! Plenty of space in every corner! I can even do my morning yoga at the balcony with a fantastic view! Awesome! The place so peaceful and quiet I could sleep without my ear plugs! There's actually a small hiking trail you can do at the back of the eco lodge. A few things to note though.....the road to the eco lodge I would say prepare for a roller coaster ride and there are flies everywhere at the dining area, WiFi not available in the room but only at the reception, lights are quite dim in the room and bathroom if you have eyesight issue, food was just ok and they actually ran out of eggs and pancakes , lol. If you sat in the dining area, you will walked out with food smell as ventilation was bad inside. I was told by our tour leader it will be nice to sit outside having breakfast with a view. A pity that flies are everywhere so we have to move inside. Anyway, our group had an enjoyable stay at the eco lodge.
