The surrounding is beautiful, if you don't mind the stench of manure. The scenery is breathtaking and even therapeutic. The owner couple is simply lovely and very hospitable and will chat with you as long as you'd like, making you feel genuinely welcomed. They even prepare breakfast upon ordering in a charming breakfast room. My only dissatisfactions were that the...

We arrived here the last week in March in the middle of a blizzard. Three attempts to reach the cottage failed and we were just about to book into a hotel in Leyburn when the owners contacted us and talked us through a safe route. We shoveled the snow out of the way, walked in and felt instantly at home....

We have just got back from a four night stay at the west close farmhouse. We stayed in one of the barn houses which had two bedrooms, a large kitchen and bathroom and an even bigger living room. I could not pick a fault with the accomodation or with our hosts Steven and Julie who treated us like royalty. From...

If one is looking for a nice quiet break, West Close Farmhouse is the ideal place, being in a very secluded part of...

We had a gorgeous 2 days. Walking to the village pub was delightful, we saw an owl sitting in a tree one night on our return. Accommodation clean and well equipped. The hosts are so friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious. We will definitely return.

Having previously stayed in the comfortable en-suite rooms at West Close Farmhouse we decided to give the cottage a go for a longer weekend break for 4 people & we didn't regret our choice. The two bedroomed cottage was cosy, yet spacious, with all the amenities required to make our stay an extremely comfortable & enjoyable one. The views from...
