I stayed here with a friend for a night on 16 May. We were going to be arriving after 10pm due to working late in Leyburn. Mr Dickinson was waiting for us and was very welcoming despite our late arrive. I have stayed at many other B & B's and arrived either early or late and the owners have been... More

We had a very enjoyable stay, the room was very comfortable, and the ensuite bathroom was of a very good standard which is not always the case in hotels, everything worked and the water was always hot. I visited Ivy Dene with my husband and two sons in early October 2011. We spent just one night but were made extremely welcome. Both rooms were spacious and comfortable and had gorgeous views. Although it is close to the main road we found it to be quiet and peaceful. Bob cooked us a super breakfast using very good ingredients.... More

A nice quiet Guest House with high quality rooms. Very friendly, and a good breakfast which sets you up for the day. Very central for getting around the Dales.

We stayed whilst viewing properties for our move to North Yorkshire. Central dales location and lovely B & B. Room and en suite was great, with off road parking. Bob cooked a lovely breakfast and there was ample to choose from. We enjoyed discussing long case clocks and if I wanted another one or servicing of our country long case... More

We stayed at Ivy Dene with our 2 children 9 and 11, in the family room, very spacious, with a comfy sofa bed for the youngest. Bob and June made us so welcome, and the kids just loved the breakfast. Very central for places like The Forbidden corner, Aysgarth falls, and even Lightwater valley, for the kids though mostly closed... More

Very clean comfortable rooms. Memory foam mattress in a four post bed. Just a short walk to a pub and an excellent fish restaurant. The owners are a very friendly, interesting couple. Parking at rear is a bit restricted but safe. One drawback - the room TV is ancient. Breakfast is excellent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ivy Dene. We found their website online at last minute, and it was in the perfect location in the Yorkshire Dales, within a very short drive of Bolton Castle (which was fantastic! highly recommended), Aysgarth falls, which are also extremely beautiful, and Hawes, the home of Wensleydale Cheese! Ivy Dene guest house was perfect,... More
