We only went for a day trip to see the monkeys, but next time we will stay for longer. The monkeys, mangrove, and Francine were amazing. Francine was a lovely hostess who shared her little bit of paradise with us. A wonderful experience. I would highly recommend visiting.

It was a complete privilege to stay at Urraca and get to know Francine, the wonderful host. Her hospitality is truly heartwarming and she will make your stay completely memorable through phenomenal meals made from local ingredients (often pulled directly out of the ocean mere hours before it's on your plate), and her deep knowledge of the surrounding communities and... Food: excellent. Ambience: magical. Service: fantastic. What can I say? Francine and the local staff and the monkeys (!!!) combine to make this one of the most amazing vacations I've ever had. You will never regret it.

4 friends and I came to Urraca and were blown away. Francine was wonderful. We happened to be the only guests that night so she gave us the option of having multiple huts or stay together in the larger hut in the back. We took the latter because it had a bar below and a private dock. The food was... More

Everything from start to end makes Urraca an amazing getaway! The entire experience is worth the trip! Best, fresh food I ate in the entire country, the most relaxing place and magical sceneries. Night or day, you will be amazed. Phosphorescent waters glowing around the bungalows at night are breathtaking. Easy access by boat from Bocas Del Toro. A lot... More

I spent 2 1/2 months at Urraca Private Island and I thorougly enjoyed it. The place is magnificant, the monkeys are funny and entertaining and Francine, the owner, is a very inspiring and lovely person. My plan was to volunteer only for a week or so at Francine's place but I completely fell in love with the place and the... More

We stayed here four days as part of our honeymoon. We couldn't have chosen a better location! Its simply a paradise. The island isn't really an insland. It's five cabanas built on a mangrove area. The next island is about 10 minutes away. Each cabana has a shower on the terrace and has a private feel. Francine's hospitality and food... More
