My girlfriends and I stayed at the hotel in July of 2022 for a long weekend. We had a wedding and found that the hotels location and amenities would suit our needs. The hotel is beautiful as is the restaurant on site. Brigita was the receptionist that assisted us on check in. She was wonderful! She was very accommodating and helped us with all of our questions and concerns. I highly recommend staying at this wonderful 4 star hotel! Hvala Nancy
This is a hotel with an exceptional location and service. The breakfast was one of the best we ever had and the staff at the reception was so friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfy. The best place if you want to be surrounded by nature, away from the traffic but still close enough to Split. We'll be coming back!
This is an exquisite hotel with an exceptional location and high-end services. The breakfast was one of the best I ever had, the staff at the reception was so friendly, that I just didn't want to leave. I have been to many hotels in Split, but this one is by far the best.
Very nice hotel with super friendly staff. Clean room, great breakfast and nice location with a big parking lot. Hotel is only 10 min drive from the ferry port and I recommend staying in this hotel. My family and I will definitely come back again.
Me, my wife and 22 year old daughter came here. Really not what we expected given the photos and destination stated. ‘On the edge of a nature reserve’ isn’t entirely true. One side has a small forest area, and other (the hotel front) is built up of houses and a busy road. Not pretty, and as we arrived at night we honestly felt that we were at the wrong hotel :-( I will give this an honest review as always, in the following categories: 1. Location - as mentioned, not ideal and a 25 minute bus journey away or car drive from Split. The drive is fairly easy. We wanted to be closer to Split as we had no intention of holidaying in Salona. But, this is my fault. 2. Hotel itself - very nice and clean. Staff are lovely. Rooms are large. The pool outside is a good size. The indoor pool is very small. The gym is adequate and the sauna is good, although small. The garden of the hotel and the hotel grounds is very small. A LOT smaller than the photos show! 3. Food - I was B&B (no evening meal included). The breakfast was dreadful…honestly, it was bad and extremely limited. Scrambled eggs were crusty every morning! Bacon raw. Cereal limited. Fruit, when available was limited. It was without doubt the worst breakfast I have had in a hotel. The evening food (that we paid for twice) was average at best, and only a small menu choice, so you would eat the same thing if you only ate here. 4. Overall, we were happy with the room and quality of the hotel, but not the food quality and selection and location. I should say that it is 99% a business hotel, with business conferences happening whilst we stayed. That’s not a problem, but do be warned if you are thinking of having a family holiday here as the hotel isn’t catered for people under the age of 40+ My 22 year old daughter wasn’t impressed.…
We are a couple in our 40’s. We spent 5 days in Split which was an active holiday with outings everyday so to finish off our trip we decided to have a relaxing stay for 4 days at the Hotel Salona Palace and it did not disappoint. We arrived a little early for check in and the lady and reception welcomed us, advised we could leave our bags at reception and make use of the facilities while we wait for our room. So we headed to the pool level, collected a towel each and hit the loungers by the pool. We weren’t waiting long as within the hour our room was ready. We stayed in a room on the second floor facing the pool with a balcony. The room was of good size and the balcony was of a good size with a table and two chairs. The room was above the outdoor restaurant and we heard no noise at any time day or night. The pool area is well laid out. There are loungers in the shade and full sun, whichever you prefer. There is lovely background music which isn’t intrusive. The spa staff are always there and if they need to leave, will leave a couple of towels should anyone pop by for some. The pool is cold which is welcoming on a hot hot day. The jacuzzi is warm which is lovely when the evening gets cool. Now for the best part of our stay! The restaurant. Our days consisted of eating, lounging by the pool reading our books and swimming. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in the outdoor restaurant. The two gentle men working in the restaurant were fantastic. The gentleman in the morning always greeted us with a smile and was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Alway close by if you needed to order a drink. The gentleman in the evening (dark hair and beard) was so friendly. Even when the busy evening meal time came around and he was visibly busy, he was always polite, attentive and positive. Both men seemed happy in their work which makes for a relaxing enjoyable atmosphere. If you are considering staying in Hotel Salona Palace, do it! You won’t regret it. Thanks for having us!…
Last evening (of a 2 day stay) we had diner at the hotel : the french fries they served were of Mc-Do quality and simply cold... My wife asked for a coffee afterwards : not possible since the machine was already cleaned...at 21.30 !!! The sauna opens at 8.00, I was there with my son : they put on the heating for the sauna at 8.00, it is ready/hot to go in 45 min later...We wanted to ask 2 towels to for a swim while waiting : there was nobody for almost 1 hour...so we wanted to take a coffee and a water while waiting : we were not allowed in the restaurant since we were not properly dressed !! very disappointing service at that level...reception was the opposite : very professional, friendly, correct !!
Had such a relaxing time here. The room was a good size with great air conditioning and beautifully renovated bathroom. The hotel offers beautiful buffet food with relaxing outdoor setting overlooking huge tranquil pool, spa and outdoor shower. The sauna and spa services are incredible as well
We had 2 days at this hotel, we couldn’t fault it. Accommodation was excellent, large well furnished rooms with great quiet air conditioning. The food was also excellent, staff friendly and a great welcome on arrival. The grounds were pretty and well kept, swimming pool mega clean with plenty of sun beds. You won’t be disappointed.
We had a great experience at Salona Palace hotel. Very kind and friendly staff. The room was big and had a big balcony. Great view of the pool, nature and the city across Solin, i think it's Split. The food of the restaurant was delicious. You can have drinks nearby the pool, with music on the background. The hotel has a very nice atmosphere. we loved it! It is also a bit central if you do not want to stay in the city Split. It is 15 minutes van Split, 17 minutes from the airport, 25 minutes from Trogir. There is always an taxi (uber of bolt) nearby to pick you up.
