It's my second time at this hotel. Have never been in hotel that pays attanion to the smallest details. Every room is a work of art in its specific unique way. Amazing experiance, amazing staff. 5 stars for me. And please, book at the recaption the jeep tour!!!!!! Book it! Don't even think about missing this tour!
We spent a few days in this unique boutique hotel with a group of good friends, celebrating a birthday. The staff were friendly and smily. Each room was uniquely decorated and had a fantastic shower and a balcony with beautiful views. The ski slope was open on most days and it's conveniently right next to the hotel. The traditional food was delicious. A beautiful winter holiday right in the heart of Seklerland. We would all definitely come back here.
Excellent reception, very nice people, traditional rooms (decorated in a highly imaginative way as craft-men houses: my wife and I slept in the carpenter's room, for instance, where even the TV set was suspended by the ceiling with metal chains, like the ones in the crafts-men shops, and the walls were covered with numerous carpenter's tools used as supports for glasses, paintings, lamps, etc. Nice and traditional). Excellent restaurant: traditional local meals (delicious Hungarian cuisine), very nice and fine liquors, excellent service. Not cheap, but exquisite and within the respect of the tradition. Moreover, very near to a sky resort, not very large but enough to exercise fora week-end. And also very near (400m) to an excellent spa resort!
Clean and interesting decorated room, truly a boutique hotel. Nice garden, nice dogs in the yard. Good food in the restaurant. However breakfast is not included in the fee for the room, and we considered to be expensive.
This is a very nice hotel, very well maintained, clean and decorated with local taste. Personnel is very professional and was able to address our needs during the stay (by adding an extra bed into our room for instance). Food is very fresh and cooked on demand which sometimes can seem a bit long but that’s what it takes for a good experience. We can only recommend this hotel which faces the woods and the mountain.
Hotel is located at entry in Baile Tusnad, 20-30 minutes walk to city center. It is very nice hotel with individualized rooms. Personnel is very friendly. My surprise was to pay 50% in advance and the rest at the beginning of the stay. This is my first and only experience in Romania for such payment method. In the morning it took about 10 minutes to have someone to take the order but after that everything was fine. If you pick recommended dishes in the restaurant the food is delicious. The breakfast is not included in the stay price.
This is a gem near Lake Santa Ana with very especial well decorated cozy rooms. This is by far the most beautiful place that we enjoyed. Everything in this place is worth to observe, the owner has put extra love to decorate with details the whole building which also includes the restaurant. You can also feel that in the exquisite food which we recommend to have. The service by the friendly owner and staff are wonderful. The welcome reception was also very especial and great. The foood was very tasty maded from 100% natural ingredients like chese , bread with potatos , traditional transilvanian sausage u can also take diferent specialtyes like venison .. The staff was genuinely interested to answer all our questions and it felt like the priority for them it to make you…
Appearances are deceitful. Everything is pretty neat on surface - a lot of details and nice arrangements...what you cannot see in the pictures though: smelly rooms & bathrooms, dust and spider nets all around the room, poor (i mean really poor) service (1h+ waiting time for pasta / french fries). Some details from the menu: cheap plastic bottle ketch-up on the bolognese, deep fried chicken legs worst than mcdonnals / kfc and I saved the best for the last: the bread basket they put on the table had two loafs of fresh bread on top of loafs of toasted bread left over from breakfast (cursing #@$%$^&#@$!). Wondering if bread is the only thing they're recycling...
The hotel is quite far of the center and train station; easy accessible by car; 3 floors, no elevator. We have been asked to pay 50% at booking, and the remaining 50% when we reached the property; we also paid a daily fee for our little dog. Parking is free; wi-fi excellent and free. The hotel is nicely decorated; romantic atmosphere; much attention to every detail. Great staff. The restaurant is fantastic.
great food. A dusty air in the restaurant , a bit dark for my taste ....but a lot of interesting thing to see there. A huge work to gather all those antique things in one place..... The stuff was very helpful and professional. Excellent for relaxation
