Amazing experience in a pandemic context and also before it. We felt really, really safe at Fortuna. We booked a table for lunch and everything was delicious, all the measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 were in place - masks and gloves were used by the staff all the time, not only when they were in contact with the clients. We were asked by phone if we are all 6 part if the same family, even the phone number and a contact name were asked, exactly as it is required by the law.
As food, we recommend the famous Gulas which also contain dumplings, the main courses and the desert with plum dumplings.
It is a weird context for everyone so we really appreciated the extra-effort made by the staff. We certanly saw smiling eyes behind the masks and the weiter even made time to listen to our jokes, share details about the diverse bicycles, cars and vehicles arround the location. Thank you! Wishibg you the best to you and your dear ones! Hope that this context will affect you as little as poss

We spent there few days with friends and it was a charming experience. The hotel is situated in a very quiet and beautiful area. St. Ana vulcanic lake is a must see. Rooms are clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated in wood and they have a warm feel. Restaurant is cozy and serves great food, paired with a wide selection of local wines and spirits (romanian and hungarian). The sauna and finnish bath are a bless after a day of hiking in the sourrounding mountains. The staff was very helpfull and polite, they assisted us in choosing the best recreational options in the area. There is a wide selection of outdoor activities one can choose from. Wooden playground for childern is also nice. It also seems to be the only hotel with western standards in the area.

We stayed here in December 2011. The staff was very helpful and most spoke good English. They have an outdoor hot tub, a pool table, a sauna. The rooms are nice, clean and outfitted with rustic log furniture. There's a small ski slope adjacent to the property. There's not much else going on in Tusnad in the winter. We walked around town, and at least from the outside, this is the nicest hotel. The restaurant was OK, great service, average food.

Hotel is located at entry in Baile Tusnad, 20-30 minutes walk to city center. It is very nice hotel with individualized rooms. Personnel is very friendly. My surprise was to pay 50% in advance and the rest at the beginning of the stay. This is my first and only experience in Romania for such payment method. In the morning it took about 10 minutes to have someone to take the order but after that everything was fine. If you pick recommended dishes in the restaurant the food is delicious. The breakfast is not included in the stay price.

NIce dogs.
Really hot sauna - (extra charge) we were sad the hot tub wasn't available like in the photos- for other guests the hotel needs 5 hours to prepare this for you.
Pool table was good
We saw a wild bear close by near the lake.
Looks like it would be nice in winter.
The restaurant service & a friendly welcome on arrival could be looked at by the management.

The room was very nice, clean and with rustic furniture. The personnel is careful, the food is good. It is a very good place to relax with a lot of possibilities for hiking, biking and sightseeing. They have an outside hot tub and in the winter, next to the hotel, there is a ski slope. We really enjoied the stay there.

My kids wanted to go skiing last winter and this hotel was recommended to us by a friend. The ski slope in Baile Tusnad was not as crowded as in other towns, a big plus for the family with younger children. And the hotel was right by the slope, so it was very convenient for us. The room was nice, warm and clean, all furniture made out of wood - my kids loved it. The food in the restaurant was pretty good too, even my little "picky eaters" very satisfied. The staff was attentive and helpful, calmly endured my kids' not always perfect behavior. In the evening we went to relax in outdoor hot tub, it was a great feeling - snow all around and you stay in hot water under the starry sky. All in all, it was a very positive experience and it made our holiday special and pleasant in many ways.

I spent a weekend at this hotel with my husband during the xsalt competition, but we weren't satisfied with the hotel at al. The room was clean and arranged with very nice furniture. The bathroom was clean too, but the doors of the shower were missing (stuff said that the showers have no doors) and the sink was not working. Because of this, we made a mess while taking a shower, but they didn't clean it up, just arranged the bathtowels. Also there were no programs in the tv. When I complained about the problems, stuff seemd helpful, but after all they didn't do anything. We also had the surprise that breakfast was not included in the price, and the brekfast in the hotels restaurant was poor and expensive. We also had to wait a lot for the ordered food (30 min for bread, butter and honey).
The area is more than beautiful, St Anna lake is gorgeous and it is a perfect place to take hiking or biking trips.
Next time we will definitly go to another hotel. This hotel was expensive and it doesn't deserve 3 stars.

Для вашего комфорта будет сделано все возможное, могу заметить, что в зоне, где находится отель, не так жарко, обычно в горах всегда гораздо свежее и прохладней
