Going to Vuglec Breg is a great way to destroy Your car and health. The road to deatination is not made so it is not safe to drive there. I think that a resort should have a safe way to approach it. Would not recommend for a trip as the road is not safe.
We didn't stay here, though it looked like a great place to stay. There was some work teambuilding conference going on there while we had lunch and it seemed like the perfect place for such a thing. The food here is very good. We had a traditional meal of pulica sa mlinci - turkey with mlinci (sort of pasta not really but very good). The portion was massive and very tasty. We also had soup and salad - both very good - along with some of their wine (ok). Sitting up on the terrace overlooking the valley is quite beautiful - it added to the enjoyment of the meal. Our server was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. Would return.
What a gem of a place!!! Our first night in Croatia and what a great. The food was outstanding, the view fantastic, the staff super friendly, the room comfortable and the tasty wine helped us get over jet lag. We are spending 2 weeks driving northern Croatia and I just hope we find a place as special as this on the rest of the trip. We arrived on a Sat afternoon and it was packed but by 7 pm it thinned out a bit and it was quite a party scene till later but it was so fun to experience. It is worth driving even out of your way to stay here! We are happy travelers to be back on the trail again.
The restaurant was great, the food served was delicious and the waiters were super friendly and helpful especially mr. Dragec. The location is idyllic and whole place is very clean. Its a perfect place for a couple on a romantic trip.
We stayed at Vuglec breg for 3 days. The food is excellent, homemade and local. Wines are tasty, sparkling wine in the room a good way to relax. Nature is beautiful. We were happy to stay here and would come again. I definetly recommend the duck for main and original homemade dish štrukli or repnjak (needs 40 minutes for preparation so you should order in advance).
We were here just two night but this was the best overnight stay for us in Croatia. We were here on private tour and the place was recommended to us by our guide. This was one of the best recommendations. Place is nice, in amazing nature surrounded by nice small hills and perfect view. All stuff was so welcoming and nice to us that we'd like to come here again. This place is like fairytale.
We visited Vuglec Breg for a family lunch, kids enjoyed playing with ponys and on the playground while me and my wife enjoyed the view and fantastic food and wine. Big thanks go to Sinisa for making our time most enjoyable!
My wife and I stayed for only one night unfortunately (we wanted to stay for two but they were fully booked) and it was one of the most relaxing 24 hours of my life. The location is idyllic (although a bit difficult to find, Google maps was a little misleading so follow the road signs!), lush greenery on all four sides and peace and the beautiful sounds of nature. The Imbra cabin was delightful, quaint, rustic with its own jaccuzi for ultimate relaxation. The restaurant was great, the food served was delicious (you must try the strukle main dish) and the waiters were super friendly and helpful! AN all in all fantastic experience!
We were visiting Croatia for the first time from across the Indian Peninsula. We read about Vuglec Breg on lonely planet and decided it would be a good place to experience the country side in Croatia. The scenery was very picturesque. What we loved: The warm and friendly hosts. The restaurant in charge Stef - who cooked us some delicious veg food. Cycling to Toplice - thanks to Mario who even organized a cycle for our little nine yr old. The cottages - almost felt it was part of a fairy tale The scrumptious breakfast each morning The wine and the view from the restaurant every evening... A must visit if you want to experience the scenic Country side..and the warmth of the Croatian people.
AlthoughI had difficulty finding this lovely little getaway (not on my European GPS and no internet on my cell phone), I was able to follow a fast driving local man after showing him the name of the facility at a small town at the bottom of the hill. We communicated via hand gestures and pointing. What a lovely little place nestled in the hills. The staff was incredibly accommodating. The facility includes older buildings and a spattering of newer buildings. I also spotted a few larger single houses on the property. The rooms are perfectly situated on a hill with sweeping views of the countryside and vineyards. There is a lovely restaurant on the property with excellent food. The breakfast is a large continental European breakfast. I stayed in a newer building with a nice balcony. Although the room was clean and modern, it lacked charm, but that was ok since I spent very little time in my room. The shower had decent water pressure and the room had plenty of storage. I had a bit of difficulty connecting to the wifi in my room but a staff member assisted me when I was perplexed. The wifi was not especially good but I only used it to plan my route to my next location anyway. There was a nice tennis court and a few trails around the property to take in the breathtaking scenery. On the main front lawn on the property, multiple Adirondack type lounge chairs were scattered about and the staff brought drinks/food to the lounging guests. Children and dogs ran around and the overall attitude was very relaxed. I would definitely recommend this place to disconnect from everyone's hectic lifestyle. …
