Resort is very small . If you are planning to visit Maldives don’t forget to take aqua shoes and all needed equipment for swimming. If not you will be paying for everything. There is no pool in this Hotel. Guys at the swimming equipment point are very rude. Limited drinks even if you booked all inclusive. I saw 1 tropical shower near reception which was extremely dirty. In general it was not too bad, however it could be better.

We stayed for 8 nights, had a fantastic time. Staff is excellent here. Yum, Ramesh and Kanna at the bar re very friendly, attentive and make excellent drinks. Akhil from kitchen made us yummy omelets every morning and was always smiling and very friendly. Wait staff Thithi, Eni and Ayesha are true stars of hospitality. Lubin from housekeeping is a budding bed decoration artist.Every one we met was super friendly and helpful. Every request was taken care of immediately. Big thank you to everyone in Malahini. Malahini is a small Atool close to Male, there is lot of broken coral, bring your water shoes.

We - a family of 5 (4 adults & 1 infant) - stayed in Malahini Kuda Bandos for 7 nights in Oct 2021. We had taken an All Inclusive package - and I will recommend the same for a tension free stay. Overall, we had a fantastic experience. The staff - across catering, water activities, reception & especially the bar and room service - was very friendly & helpful. This was the biggest reason for such a pleasant stay. To mention a few names - Yam (from the bar), Kanna (from the bar), Ashok (from catering), Nawaz (room service) - really gave an extra-ordinary service. Overall, the pre arrival guidance, speed boat transfers, natural beauty of the island, room, crowd on the island, food, bar service, water activities, and other activities & facilities - were good as well. Details below in that order. Pre-check in experience - We had booked 2 Garden rooms for an All-Inclusive package (including transfers) directly from Malahini website. It was much cheaper to book directly from the website. We iterated multiple times via email with their sales team before making an online payment (on 1st Oct) and before arrival (on 9th Oct). Their team was very responsive (max response time was 1 day). On the day of arrival as well, the speedboat transfer was hassle free. They have a counter right outside Male Airport. On landing, when you go to the counter, their representative takes you to their speed boat jetty. We hardly had to wait for 15 mins before our speed boat arrived and the transfer to the island was of ~15 mins as well. Island, crowd & room - The island is small (800 meter circumference may be) and beautiful. It hardly takes 20 mins to take a walk along the circumference of the island. They share a map of the island during check-in. They have 4-5 seating areas where you can sit & relax along the beach. The crowd was pretty diverse during our stay as well - Russians, Spanish, Chinese, and Indian people were predominantly present. The room was clean with instant hot water on all days. Room service (Nawaz) did a really nice job of keeping our room clean - despite us bringing sand inside the room from our multiple beach visits during the day. On the down side, wi-fi in our room was a bit weak at times - but that's ok I guess. Most people are away on a secluded island to get away from the wi-fi anyways. Food - Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet was served at Magaa restaurant for the All Inclusive members and all meals were great - especially for non-vegetarians. There was a spread of 20-25 buffet items in each meal. By the 7th day, we felt some items were a bit repetitive - but not much to complain about there. Overall, we enjoyed most items on the menu - they were delicious. They provided us with a baby chair (with a belt) for our infant during dining at all times as well. For All Inclusive members, during lunch and dinner - they also served us beer or wine at the table. Blu bar - This is a bar located on the diagonally opposite side of the reception of the island. All inclusive members get unlimited drinks from a select menu here. There is a seating area right outside Blu with a fantastic sea view. Sitting there the entire day while enjoying the sea and drinking was the highlight of our vacation. Excellent service by Yam and Kanna was the key reason for such a pleasant experience. Before arrival, I was hesitant about Malahini not having a water villa, but after our experience at Blu bar along the beach - I have zero regrets. For All Inclusive members, every day evening at 4.30, they serve snacks at Blu bar as well. Water activities - Right next to the reception, they have a Water Activity center. For All Inclusive members, we could borrow non motorized equipment from here - ex, snorkelling gear, kayak, paddle boat. The equipment was available for all except 1 day during our visit. For 1 day it was closed due to bad weather conditions. Also, w.r.t snorkelling, we noticed that the coral life is better on the Blu side, but the water is very very shallow on that side (making it hard to swim easily with fins on, and increasing the chances of damaging the coral life). On the reception side, the water was a bit deeper - making it easy to snorkel there. But aquatic life was a little less active there. Please note that they have standard penalties for damaging the equipment, and, if you are required to be rescued. Others - They also had some or the other activity in Blu every day night at 9.30pm. During our 7 days - there was a game night, a live music night, a DJ night, a sting ray watching night, a movie night and so on. I personally also used the gym there every day - but to avoid covid risks - I had to pre book a slot in the gym beforehand. Only 1 family is allowed in the gym at a time. They also do local rt-pcr tests on the resort for travellers who require those before departure. But we found those to be a bit costly. They were priced at 115 $ per person (i.e. 8-9k INR per person), while in India we get those for 500 INR max. Overall, it was an excellent stay and we highly recommend the resort.

We stayed 3 nights at this gem and we loved every minute! First of all we got greeted by the fabulous The Dancing Queen; Queenie! This person is just something else and really went out of his way to make sure we had the best stay. Queenie would be a really good reason to return it this resort, just a star and a person you would love to meet again! Rooms were really nice and the beds comfortable. The food was really good at all times and plenty to choose from. The restaurant staff was really nice and a special shout out to the lovely girl who checked our temperatures every day. The Bluu Team were superstars and looked after us so well! Thank you so much Kanna, Yam, Ramesh, Posanna, Ushan and chef Saravana! We went snorkelling everyday and I recommend the Bluu area for that. We saw eagle rays and even manta rays. Of course reef sharks every time, and our own friend shark Bobby was nice to hang out with. Finally when we left both Queenie and the manager came and said goodbye. Nice touch and we appreciated that. Keep up the good work and don’t ever change! Linda & Annette

We arrived at Malahini Kuda Bandos on the 9th of Oct 2021 for my Husband's birthday. Upon arrival the Crew greeted us with a big smile and open arms. Check in process was smooth and made sure we were absolutely comfortable. The Room greeted us with a aromatic breeze which made our stay wonderful. For anything to be perfect, Food play is an important part. At Maaga, where our hungry stomachs are fed. On reachin the dinning area Ayesha would welcome us and greet us warmly (Always smiling), reserved us a dinner table by the sea -side , treated us to a cake , birthday song in their local language n surprised us with our room decorated , artistically. Special mentions to Chef Akhil who tossed the best omlet's ( remembered how i like it) n made it that way. Chef Ashok who treated us to an amazing Crab Chilli, specially made for us (as he got to know we loved crabs) on our last night. Chef Ashok also urged me to try out the regional delicacies rightly mixing it with the sambal's. The 4 days just zipped by with utmost attention to detail, care n comfort . The island resort is clean , simple n beautiful. Staff is friendly! An activity night wuz planned daily at 9.30 pm that kept us engaged! Highly recommend the stingray snorkeling with the warm, friendly n experienced diving instructors!! Highly recommed this beautiful island resort where the staff just makes u feel at home. We will surely be coming back for more.. Vivek & Vanessa
