Really nice, quiet peaceful place to stay and relax. All Staff was always extremely polite and helpful. All meals freshly prepared, plenty options , big choice of Asian dishes full of spices. Special mention for best waitress named Novi - very skilled, polite and intelligent girl from Bali. Thank you for looking after us for a whole week. Diving: I think charging 110$ for “ refresher course “ each diver who didn’t dive in last 6 months ( no matter how experience you are) discourages to dive in this resort. I understand that check dive needs to be done but not for over 110$. I wanted to do 6 dives but I end up doing only snorkeling and I don’t regret that, as you can easily see loads of sharks, eagle rays, sting rays, octopus, moray eels even turtle just few meters away from the shore.

The island was beautiful. It was also quite small which we liked as everything was really close and we were able to snorkel around the whole island. The room was a good size and was clean with a good shower. All the staff were really helpful and friendly, with a special mention to Prasanna, Ushan and Prakash who always went over and above and really looked after us during our stay.

Very nice and beautiful place with great crew! We have been living at room 233 (it’s rooms with garden view) for almost 2 weeks. Every day we had great room service. Shuvo did room service, and it was super! Also crew at the restaurant was very nice and hospitable. Food was very tasty and variety. Also very tasty and classy special dinners. We ordered romantic dinner with local lobster and it was amazing. Very good service! We also tried a spa programs. At First – territory of spa zone – amazing! It’s like another island with other nature. And for second – massages was super relaxing. If you working at the office, you really need it) It’s really good and comfortable resort: not very big island, nice staff and good service. Thanks for this two weeks!

Excellent place to enjoy top class hospitality near Male. Just 10-15min away from the Male airport by speedboat. This was our third trip to this tropical archipelago and we had a pretty good idea about what to expect and must say that Malahini Kuda Bandos has been able to meet almost all of them. Spent 4N/5D on this beautiful small island in one of the beach villas and had a great overall experience. From contacting the hotel desk at Male airport to return journey back to the airport, one can feel the warm hospitality of Malahini Kuda Bandos. Check-in was smooth and the front desk took care of all formalities while you enjoy your welcome drink and freshen-up. They explained all the timings of meals, locations of bars and restaurants and spa as well as what is included and what is chargeable. The island is small and once can walk around 85% of it by the beach and it only takes around 1200 steps to circle it. The gradual change in water colour was breath taking. View from all side is good – along with the turquoise blue and deep blue water one would also be able to see the nearby islands, Male city and Hulhumale island and few mini-cruise type ships. It does by no means affect the relaxing mood or the island vibe. Being of the new resorts (opened only in mid-2016), the rooms were well designed as well as well maintained. The beach villas were independent villas without any common or sharing walls. Each villa had its own beach side glass door view and a direct access to the beach (just few feet away). Presence of two wooden sun loungers, an outside washing tap and a drying hanger were very practical addition to each villa. Also, there were ample sun loungers or beach chairs all across the island. Inside the room there were a large very comfortable king size bed along with two bed side tables. A dressing table with a chair, a sofa with multiple cushions, an open wardrobe (with a curtain) and a digital safe were standard in each beach villa. Two bathing robes, hair dryer and few hangers were other standard addition to each room. Towels of all types and couple of beach towels were also present. Each room also featured a mini-fridge doubling as a mini-bar along with a standard tea coffee maker. Tea and coffee along with two litres of drinking water were complimentary while both alcoholic and soft drinks along with other in-room snacks were chargeable. Bathroom designs were unique – partly overed with open shower. Overall room quality, maintenance and sleep quality were awesome. Service by housekeeping or restaurant and bar attendants were top notch – 5 stars. Room-service was daily and each day they would leave the room like your arrival day. All the chefs and restaurant attendant were always eager to assist in all possible manner. Every day there were variable menu at Maaga (the main restaurant) for all the three meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner. Restaurant had 3 sections with a central open-air section and had ample space even in case of full resort occupancy. Taste and quality of the food served were great. There were wide varieties of drinks and snacks available at both Bar75 and Bluu – each located on either side of the island. However, it should be noted that only selected varieties of drinks, peanuts and fixed menu evening snacks were available for all-inclusive package. We did not try Aranu spa but it looked well arranged and spacious. I believe the snorkel masks were complementary which was quite unique as in most resorts they could only be rented. Also there were lots of water activities available at a charge. The dive centre was huge and had all facilities. The medical centre looked well equipped and covid RT-PCR tests were arranged by the resort with applicable charges. Reports were available within 24 hours. There is also a small souvenir cum utilities shop just by the side of the reception. There were also daily shows or events at Bluu post dinner. I would specifically like to highlight few staffs whom we interacted and were delighted by their services – Eni, Raskhan, Thihthi, Yan (at Bluu, he is from Nepal), all the three chefs and executive chefs at the live counter in Magga. The highlight of the stay was the room decoration and complimentary cake from the resort to celebrate a special occasion during our stay. There are a few areas which could have been better – 1. We would have loved if reception provided a brief history of the island during check-in. Being able to learn about the place always makes good impression. 2. I have snorkelled around 80% of the island and rest was prevented due to extreme strong currents. The house reef is almost dead. It is encouraging to see lots of new coral growth. However, except a chunk of corals (also almost all of them partly affected) all around, reef quality is not that good. I have seen better house reefs in other islands. 3. Fish varieties were decent but quantity of fish was just ok. I have not seen any large school of fishes. Not sure if being near to Male and Hulhumale has some impact on that. 4. While the staffs always followed covid protocols, stronger implementation of covid norms among guest, especially in common areas like food service areas, reception or bar counter would have been better. I have visited other islands post covid and experienced better covid protocols implementation. 5. It would have been nice if housekeeping would have kept the bathing towels in the bathroom rather than on the sofa-bed. Also changing the floor mat in bathroom every alternate days would have been great. 6. Last point was beyond the control of the resort – during our stay it was extremely windy (35-50kmph) and water currents were very strong. These partly affected snorkelling as well as beach time. Overall it was a great stay – thoroughly relaxing and gastronomically delightful. Definitely recommended for a relaxing Maldivian experience.
