When I travel to France, I look for restaurants that have fine and rare wines available at reasonable prices so this review may be of little interest to you unless you share that objective. In any event the food here is hearty country style with no pretension but also without any great flair so I would not recommend a detour... More

We came here by a recommendation by our wine friend. The rooms on the main building are OK. There are nice rooms on the back of the hotel. This is a family run business where everyone know everybody else. Toilets are good but the beds could need some improvement. We stayed here because we had come a long way to... More

2500 top burgundy wines on the list with excellent food to match. This is the place where everyone in the wine and food business visit. It is simply a MUST. Mr. Alain Pechery and his family have run this auberge for several years. The service is excellent. You can have the best meal you can immagine, a bottle of wine... More

We stayed for one night en-route from Switzerland to Dieppe. Very pretty Auberge in a small village not far from the auto-route. Our room, number 4, was small but very well appointed and had everything that one needs for a one night stay. Had we been staying longer I might have asked for a larger room, but the rate is... Just few kms away from the highway it is definitely worth stopping at this Auberge located in the typical, quiet and peaceful french country side village ! The Pechery family will welcome you in this unique place , where you can enjoy great food - the son is now in charge of the kitchen , using all local food ,... More

Although a bit out of the way, a very nice place to stay and great restaurant. Alain and Catherine are wonderful hosts, the rooms are nice, and the restaurant is really excellent. I will be returning next time I am in France.

We stayed three nights demi-pension and one night full board and as usual were delighted with food ,drink, accommodation and service. We have stayed in this Auberge every year en route to the Alps since 2000 and cannot recommend it enough .The Pechery family have made this little inn a treasure in every way

We stayed here based on a friend's recommendation and were not disappointed. L'Auberge du Pot d'Etain is in a lovely little village, our room was modern, clean and comfortable, and dinner in the restaurant was absolutely terrific. Seriously, the worst thing I could say about our stay is that the shampoo in the bathroom isn't really what you'd expect from... More

I never write bad reviews so let me start by the only plus point of this place. Amazing wine list. But take my advice and stay somewhere else! We both ate in the restaurant and stayed in the b&b. My most shocking experience of bad service... from arrival until departure we met 3 members of the owner family. not one... More

Relaxed informal but friendly efficient dealings. Room perfectly good and value at 65 euros. Evening meal, again at 55 euros set meal good value. Escalope mousse as amuse bouche, promising. Unfortunately next two courses disappointing, well cooked but lacking both taste and coherent combination -hommard with strange ? soft meat slices, then cod with potatoe puree. Dessert, strawberry concoction with... More
