we stayed here in a private room. We did not know, that there are rooms without windows. We argued a little bit and luckily there was another private available, which was nice. Please tell them when you make your reservation, that you want to have a room with a real window and not only to the reception. Breakfast was OK,...

Private bedroom spacious and clean. Bathrooms clean and showers had hot water but often it was scalding or cold - hard to set the right temperature. Receptionist friendly and helpful. The Mexican restaurant they recommend to eat it is very very bland. Wifi was strong. Breakfast was juice with two bread rolls, jam, butter and a banana. Stayed during low...

A conveniently located hostel, with lots of restaurants nearby. I ended up staying longer than I had originally planned and had to switch rooms halfway through my stay. Both locations were great. The most impressive feature of this hostel for me was the staff, very helpful and always smiling. A great place to stay in Latacunga.

We stayed here as a base for doing some hiking in Quilotoa. The staff were great and very helpful, providing us with excellent comprehensive directions for everything, from the bus schedule to and from Quilotoa to photographs and written directions for hiking different parts of the Quilotoa loop. Hostel location was good - only about 15 minutes walk from the...

Arrived at this hostel unfortunately very early in the morning. I had booked through Hostelworld and estimated my arrival time at 8am before I knew the time of the night bus we would take. Our night bus ended up leaving at 22.05 to arrive 7 hours later. Unfortunately it arrive at 3.30am! We headed to the hostel only to refused...

This hostel was recommented in Lonly Planet and probably the most of the travelers are checking in, in Hostal Tiana. The staff was really nice and I felt welcomed. So normaly it seems to be a nice Hostal with a good breakfast included. But I had the worst room during my travel. The first room next to the entry door...

It is 6.21 am as I write this and I have been awake for 2 hours listening to very loud music/karaoke from the street outside. Ear plugs haven't done much to dull the pain! So if you are a light sleeper avoid the front rooms / find a quieter hostel. That aside, use of the kitchen in the evenings is...

The hostal is in the center of this little town. It's a big hostel and have a lot of beds and bathrooms. I read some comments in which people says everything has to be paid, it's bot true. You don't pay for the shower (in the first floor has hot water), you don't pay for the Towel, you don't pay...

The good: clean, inexpensive room. Fast laundry service. Secure gear storage. Excellent book exchange. Definitely your best bet before starting the quilotoa loop. The bad: spotty wifi, unreliable hot water, and the most measly breakfast I've had in Ecuador. Awful old pillows that were incredibly uncomfortable and gross. Hostel can be a bit loud - bring earplugs.

We stayed at Hostal Tiana on our way to Quilotoa. The hostel is conveniently located between Cotopaxi and Quilotoa so we decided to stay after visiting Cotopaxi. The place was very affordable but the room smelled strongly of sewer gas. It was a little sickening to smell that while trying to sleep. The room was also extremely cold at night....
