We were sailing on Liberty of the Seas May 14-21 and booked the "Costa Maya Seven Colors of Blue Lagoon Excursion" through ShoreExcursioneer.com (associated with Native Choice Tours). We were wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of the local beach and bar scene and were very pleased. A total of 7 of us had booked this excursion...

Too much noise and no management. The owners seem to cater to guests who like to party aand stay up past midnight. Not a restful or relaxing stay. We cut our visit short.

An unbelievable paradise comes to one's view after a long ride down a dirt road, words cannot describe the beauty and serenity of this resort. And, yes, it is a resort. I visited as part of a cruise excursion, but will consider going back for a week's worth of rest and relaxation.

We visited this as part of our cruise excursion that also included a trip to the ruins. You continue down this EXTREMELY bumpy road for 15-20 minutes in the middle of the jungle. At the end of the road is this AMAZING sight of paradise... the Bacalar Lagoon Resort. The views are so surreal that it took us a few...

This place is superlative and can't begin to describe our 2 night stay here. Peaceful and quiet. The perfect escape if you're looking for rest and relaxation!! It's at the northern most end of the Bacalar Lagoon. Off the main highway you drive down a 3km dirt road through scrubby jungle. The end result is worth every bump! This is...

On the outskirts of Bacalar, down a VERY long dirt road, is, one of the most beautiful resorts one can imagine. Everything is simply magic!! The grounds and gardens are stunning and make one feel as if they are in an European chateau. And the Lagoon!! The lagoon is beyond gorgeous at sunset. The owner Robert welcomed us and made...

Bacalar Lagoon Resort was built for the sole purpose of providing an opportunity for guests to relax in a beautiful natural setting in front of Bacalar Lagoon where the only sounds are birds and animals and no other hotels are visible . In our web site and on the pages of Expedia.com and Booking.com and also Googel maps it clearly...

15 minutes down an unimproved narrow dirt road hemmed in by dense forest, your anticipation steps up; what could be at the end of this road? The Bacalar Lagoon Resort signs are reassuring in the absence of any other evidence of habitation. But then, a wide steel gate between tall tiled walls frames an immaculate white gravel driveway that meanders...
