Everyone who has reviewed this property has given glowing reports but we cannot share this opinion. This English owned and managed "chateau" and gites caters for English speaking guests (English TV etc) which is OK unless you want an authentic local experience. The chateau (manor house) and surrounds are not well maintained starting with the poor first impression of the... More

We stayed in The Vines part of the chateau in August. The chateau's location couldn't have been better. Just what we were looking for. Peace and quiet but close to villages and larger towns. The gite managers were lovely and helpful. Places to visit include Dijon, Cluny, Beaune and a bike ride is a must! Go to Buxy cave and... More

If you want to stay right in the heart of the vines that cover the hillside of this part of the Burgundy wine region, this is for you. Owners Dawn and Gary have a wonderful place - expertly looked after by Lorna and Dave. I was fortunate enough to rent a room in the chateau although the gites looked lovely... More

We rented Le Cremant at Chateau St Vallerin in early August 2012 and would thoroughly recommend it. The courtyard setting of Le Cremant adjacent to the Chateau is lovely, the accommodation is of a very good standard and the location was for our purposes ideal in a quiet village with easy access to the autoroute, the Burgundy wine routes and... My wife and I recently wrapped up a four-week stay at Chateau St-Vallerin and, like Expat Kiwi and family, stayed in Le Crement cottage. We loved it -- Lots of people have had experiences with summer lets in which the pictures are wonderful but the reality hits with a dull thud, but in this case the Chateau and the cottage... More

Our family of 4 stayed at the Chateau for a week recently, in Le Cremant apartment. We would highly recommend the Chateau if you are spending some time in Bourgogne. The property is situated in a small village not far from Buxy, surrounded by vineyards and on the Route des Grand Vins. It has lovely grounds, including a small swing... More
