Sue and Jerry welcome you to their bed and breakfast situated on the river Lair that borders Brittany and Normandy, 2kms outside the pretty village of St Martin de Landelles. The tranquil setting over 3 acres allows your stay to be peaceful and relaxing. Take time for a swim in our 9m x 6 m pool or maybe after a long journey the children would like to expel some energy on the trampoline or swings!! ... Then of course, we could serve you dinner if you choose ...

Les Touches is a very special place it's a tranquil setting but is a perfect location to explore both Brittany and Normandy. We stayed for 8 nights and were made to feel like one of the family don't make the mistake of just booking for one night which many other guests did and regretted. If we had a pound for every time we heard this we could have bought a case of champagne!
Sue & Jerry's attention to detail is first class from sourcing the best local produce, fresh flowers from the garden in your room, homemade jam to die for and quality bed linen and toiletries. We enjoyed sharing breakfast in the large farmhouse kitchen and finding out where other guests were heading. Whilst they are plenty of good restaurants nearby we recommend eating at Les Touches. We enjoyed an excellent menu with superb wine finished with some local calvados! Sue and Jerry are a font of local knowledge and we enjoyed their recommendations. The pool and decking area is a great place to spend a quiet evening after a busy day touring with a glass of local cider! Such a relaxing and enjoyable stay this is without doubt a first class B&B run by experts in hospitality - we will definitely return soon. We have travelled many hotels and B&Bs over the years and this has far outweighed any other place we have stayed it has a set a new benchmark for other places to aspire to!

We stayed with Sue and Jerry for an overnight stop during our recent French driving holiday.

Our hosts were so friendly and accommodating that even in the short period we were with them it didn’t take long for you to really felt part of the family .

The property itself is beautiful, set in wonderful surroundings. In the part that we were stayed in, there was a lovely little lounge area downstairs, so even if you decided to stay put rather than go out and explore you would be very comfortable. Outside there is a large lawn area together with a pool.

Our room was decorated to a very high standard indeed so the property has all the comforts you would need for a nice stay.

Our review though could not be complete without a special mention of the food we experienced during our stay. We opted to have an evening meal at the property, which was prepared by Sue – and it was an absolute joy. Not fussy in any way, just wonderful French home cooking at its absolute best.

Our stay was very comfortable and we would thoroughly recommend Les Touches to anyone.

Booked very much last minute due to change of plans, but Sue and Jerry were well prepared for us. We were offered a cool glass of wine on arrival and apple juice for the children, who made a bee-line for the pool after a long journey - Sue immediately offered towels and really nothing was too much trouble: We even took the liberty of staying in the grounds well-after our 'sign out' time the next day, due to ferry times and the kids again made use of the pool - no problem. The breakfast was lovely and home made jams on offer, together with freshly-laid eggs.

As to the accommodation - beautifully decorated and clean. The lounge was a very welcome feature of the B&B and a selling-point for families as it adjoined the family room, but meant we didn't have to go to bed when the children did. Tea and coffee making facilities and bottles of water were provided, which isn't always the case in France and again, were welcome. The bedroom was roomy and there were plenty of towels and good quality toiletries.

Those using a sat nav may be wise to follow directions from the websites / hosts at the end of the journey as ours got thoroughly confused.

I hope to find cause to stay here again - actually, I'm definitely working on it!!

Les Touches is a beautiful B&B, however on closer inspection there are some small flaws with this B&B. The communal lounge is lovely and very comfortable and the bedroom is adequate although the carpet and bathroom furniture (including shower curtain) is rather cheap. The welcome we received was ok but nothing compared to the other two B&Bs we had stayed at. As it was our last night in France we had booked an evening meal and while it was edible it was not worth the 35 euro price tag - I'm not convinced anything was made - mostly bought products (sorbet and dessert both shop bought). Whilst accommodating a slightly early breakfast (7.30am instead of the stated 8a.m.) there was no fresh bread or fresh croissants or fruit - staples of a typical french continental breakfast!
Would not return because we had such fantastic stays at other B&Bs and know that quality is available without compromise!

Our fifth (and sixth) visit(s) to this lovely B&B with another very warm welcome and attentive hosts. They go out of their way to provide gluten-free meals for our son. This year we treated ourselves to a stay with Sue and Jerry both on the way down to the south of France and on the way back. It adds a couple of hours travel to our travel but well worth it to stay with them and to break up the journey.

We stayed again in the ground floor Garden Room which is comfortable for the five of us. The children again enjoyed the pool (pool towels provided), the trampoline, the various animals and, because they are getting older, the wifi! Sue again provided wonderful food with our son's coeliac disease in mind.

If you can, do take the opportunity to enjoy dinner with them. As usual, the food, drink and hosting were excellent and we've always found this a great way of relaxing after a day of travelling.

We're quite used to finding them now but it is a lovely quiet rural location and so if you have the facility, use the long/lat facility on your satnav or Google Maps to find them.

We stayed with Sue and Gerry for only a couple of nights and would happily return when we can. The accommodation was so comfortable and the location truly beautiful. They are both charming hosts and we enjoyed an aperitif with them in the sunshine in their garden followed by a delicious meal on both nights. We couldn't have asked for more. Many thanks, Jo and Martin

We stayed with Sue and Jerry last week on our way to the ferry at Cherbourg. We booked a family room with dinner and we were delighted with our choice. We were warmly welcomed and given coffee by the pool as our children swam. The room was beautifully decorated, with views over the lovely garden and woods. The beds were comfortable, bathroom bright and well appointed. We slept very well and you wouldn't have known there were other guests staying. The dinner was fabulous, freshly made with local ingredients. The aperitifs and wine flowed and we chatted to our hosts while the children played on the trampoline. Breakfast next morning was equally good, with our thoughtful hosts tailoring the menu to our kids demands for Nutella! I would highly recommend this gorgeous B&B to anyone thinking of staying around this area (30 mins to Mont st Michel ) for a peaceful break in the French countryside away from bustling campsites and hotel chains.

We stopped off at Les Touches on the way back home from a camping holiday in Ile De Ra. Frankly, we wished we were staying for a few days.

Les Touches is slightly off the beaten track - a great rural setting between two sleepy villages and really relaxed.

The hosts Sue and Jerry really go the extra mile to make you feel at home and the room itself was clean, well apportioned and quiet. There is a shared, intimate, sitting room where we shared a glass with other like minded guests.

I would thoroughly recommend dinner too. A lovely shared experience and good value too.

I would recommend this guest house for couples and families, as a stopover or better for a couple of days to wind down and relax...

Excellent.

Amazing place with legendary owners!
We are a family of 4 and stayed at Les Touches for 2 nights at the end of July. The owners Sue and Jerry are complete legends and for a variety of reasons made our stay fantastic. The location, situation, accommodation, food and hospitality are faultless. If I was able to give them 6 out of 5 I would!
We will definitely be back and I would thoroughly recommend Les Touches to any of my friends and family.

This was our third visit to Les Touches and it just gets better. The outstanding accommodation and relaxed rural setting are second to none but what really makes Les Touches the special place is Sue and Jerry's warm welcome. We stayed in three other B&Bs during our tour of Normandy and Brittany all we excellent trip advisor reviews but none come close to what Les Touches offers. I doubt you will find a finer B&B in the whole of France.
Les Touches' location near St James also makes it an excellent based to explore many of Normandy and Brittany's attractions.

Many thanks again Sue and Jerry.
