I stayed here in January 2020 for just under one month. During this time Kristina, Willy and the whole team at the lodge looked after me in a beautiful way. In an idyllic area on top of a small hill looking over the Amazon river. The food was delicious, the ambience was peaceful, the living arrangements were comfortable and welcoming, the surrounding jungle just stunning. Iquitos is an hour or so along the fabled Amazon river. Kristina is growing this place in a thoughtful, organic and sustainable way. There are various tours and activities in the area - river swimming, boat rides and canoe excursions, there is a beautiful monkey sanctuary, there are opportunities to partake in traditional Shipibo Shamanic healing ceremonies as well as the chance to explore the plush Amazon rainforest with a superb guide, Josias. Sure to return whenever I am passing through this part of the world.

How do you summnarize a trip where you see remarkable and majestic natural beauty, have adventues of all sorts from walking local markets and exotic foods, to hiking in the amazon, fishing for piranha, or hugging a sloth to name but a few of the adevntures you will have. The education shared on culture, customs, plants and their uses, food chain, or the effect of climate change on the amazon. This was a growth trip for me and I know the amazon has more for me to grow into so I need to return to finish the lessons it has to teach me, are you ready for a Peruvian adventure of a lifetime you will never forget?

Kristina's house in Santa Maria is a beautiful home with a little terrace to relax when the sun is burning. The room was comfortable, the linen from cotton and the bathroom clean. Kristina is a wonderful host. Even if she is not there she pays attention to all the details, she is responsive to the messages and has a nice spirit. Fendecio, the house keeper is a smiley and friendly person that will help you with everything you need. Our experience was wonderful, the scenery magnificent and the people in the village kind in the heart.

I traveled alot in Perú and the rainforest, so i feel confortable to give my feedback to this nice location. Is a ecofriendly enviroment which is a must for me and my trips, the rooms are confortable and clean, the food is healthy and 109% organic, the lodge itself is giving oportunity to the locals ($$) and according to Kristina Liu (owner) they will be providing hot water and electricity with solar panel sistem, "another gol". As well Kristina is a coach and is putting energie and force to help to change peoples life not only locals but the lodge is opened for people from all around the world looking to emmerce themself in natural healing, learning from the plant and animals, kristina did a personal journey in the rain forest looking for the most powerfull Shamans and Curanderos so she can guaranty and give trust and confidence to her GUESTS. Please aloud me to recomment SELVA VIDA LODGE as your host home to the Amazon Rainforest. Willyhuaycama

I recently attended one of Kristina's retreats at Selva Vida, and it was a transformational experience for me. I cannot say enough good things about the setting itself - a safe, beautiful home with wonderful accommodations, staff, and food. The coaching workshops were full of mind-opening realizations, and the ayahuasca shaman who worked with us was one of the best I have ever been treated by. The jungle tour was so much fun, and even something as simple as the yoga session spoke to me. I have attended many different retreats; however this was my first one of Kristina's, and I truly believe that it was a breakthrough one for me. For once, I am coming away feeling lighter and significantly more at peace. If you are looking for an excellent healing retreat in the Peruvian Amazon, I highly recommend attending one at Selva Vida.

This experience was truly amazing. The care and concern everyone has at the lodge makes you feel so safe and comforted in this otherwise unfamiliar land. The food was amazing. The area was beautiful. I especially loved the little hammock porch upstairs. Thanks for a great stay!!

This is a fantastic weekend trip that exposes you to a totally new environment in just three days. The landscape is beautiful with opportunities to connect with the local culture, see amazing plants and animals, hike, fish and take some awesome boat rides. The staff is what made the experience truly special. They are extremely knowledgeable and go out of their way to make sure you have a fantastic experience. Also, sloth hugs... need I say more?
