The setting is beautiful, but unfortunately our stay could have been so much better. The bad things: First of all, the owners are American, so if you expect an authentic Mexican stay, this is not the place. Furthermore, although they were friendly we some times felt like being at a private party without having been invited. They live there and...

Cet endroit, chaleureux et authentique donne aux vacances un souffle de paix, d'exotisme et de joie. Petite maison unique, plage magique et équipe super accueillant et fun. Une révélation de bonheur! The most wonderful place ever with an incredible crew. Holiday feel different when you've lived through this place. Not expensive, good cocktails, yummy food and lots of smiles. Take...

Here's what I can add: -Road to from the park entrance had been recently graded (grader was still on road), so we could do the 22 klicks from the park entrance at the speed limit (40kph) in a 2wd large car. So the track should be fine until the rainy season in any type of vehicle. -The place is indeed...

These rustic cabins on a remote beach over an hour south from Tulum are a gem for those who want to get away from the hub-bub of the city. Ideal for someone who wants to relax on the beach with little disturbance, enjoy watching pelicans, star-gazing, and perhaps do a little swimming, snorkelling or kayaking. We'd definitely go back again!...

One of the last of its kind. If you want peace and quiet, this is the place. Michelle, Dan and their staff are very friendly. It is the ultimate getaway, the best way to unplug! Amazing surroundings, quite a contrast from the tourist centric Tulum. A little slice of paradise. Can't wait to return!

Our friends, who live in Cancun, took us to this quiet, lovely place for 5 days of bliss. We knew it would be great when the locals wanted to stay there. After driving south from Cancun, we arrived late in the evening and were greeted by Courtney, one of the guests, who walked us along the white sand path to...

We really enjoyed our stay here. It's well out of the way, not very easy to access, but we knew that and rented a Jeep. It's a perfect spot, staff is accommodating, food was pricey, but good. This is not a luxurious place, so if you're looking for that, try Sol Caribe down the road. This place is laid back,...

If you like large hotel complexes with all the facilities then this is not for you! If however you are looking for something with character, off the beaten track where you get to know the other guests in a social setting together with the team that run the hotel then this IS for you!! We stayed two nights and enjoyed...

The vibe of this place is right and the host are outstanding. It took us 40 minutes from the arch to reach the place in a Jeep, and we could have cut at least 5 minutes off if two separate vehicles and allowed me to pass. Cheap beers considering the remote location and great sea breezes to keep it cool....

Once we were at Xamach Dos it was good—good food, very relaxing and quiet, and a beautiful beach. Don't expect creature comforts like air conditioning, this is not that—it's a bunch of cabanas in the middle of the jungle on the beach, which is what we were looking for. Also if you want to get in touch with the local...
