We had a lovely stay at the Loggia Mariposa. It’s set in a beautiful, quiet road in one of the oldest parts of the town. It’s a hidden gem, beautifully furnished and decorated. Our room was fairly small but it had everything we needed for our stay. Breakfasts were delicious, with homemade pastries, bread, yogurt, cheese and meats available. Josef and Peter were delightful hosts, with a wealth of information about the island. There are lots of great restaurants within walking distance of the loggia. Parking can be a bit of a challenge but we saw it as part of the charm of such an old part of the town, there is a free public car park a few minutes walk away. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Naxxar we would definitely recommend it!
Everything you need has been prepared for you. Joseph and Peter are both lovely persons and accommodating. Quiet but at the same time close to restaurants. Good breakfast. 5 stars for cleanliness. Very relaxing place.
Delightful house, nicely decorated and equipped, in favorable location for discovering of whole Malta island. And very friendly and wiling staff. A special info for travellers from Czech or Slovak Republic - manager Peter is from Slovakia, very nice guy, he adviced us a lot of hints :-) Velmi příjemný, až kouzelný dům, zajímavě vyzdobený a vybavený, v lokalitě odkud lze výhodně objevovat celou Maltu. Dalším plusem je velmi přátelský a ochotný personál. Nám se věnoval především manažer Peter, který je ze Slovenska a velmi fajn člověk, takže zcela bez jakýchkoliv jazykových bariér nám předal spousty tipů a rad.
Very nice little place in Naxxar. Outside the messy side of the island but with enough structure to have an amazing stay. Staff extremely nice and helpful made us feel home. Very good breakfast included on the stay. Ask the staff tips for what to do in Malta, Comino and Gozo and they will take the time to walk you though the maps. Nice to have a car for easier access to all the places across the islands - easy to park close by.
I agree with "Peaches143 wrote a review Sep 2016". Yes, it was a nice hotel but I got also the feeling I stayed in another place comparing my experiences with the other reviews. The B&B is located in the old centre of Naxxar which is nice. The entrance of the B&B was nicely decorated, We booked the family room (for 4 persons). The beds were soft and wobly. There is airconditioning in the main part of the room. There where the separate single bed is, there is a fan. A fridge is in the room which was very helpful. The bathroom clean enough and comfortable but without a bath. No balcony attached to the room The swimming pool was the reason I booked this location. However the water was not clean. We did not use the pool at all. The terrace at the pool and at the rooftop were not so attractive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice but not as exquisite as I expected (after reading former reviews). There are two long tables in the breakfast room, where you are seated with the other guests. When you wish for privacy, this could be an issue. Restaurants are located nearby, five minute walk to Ta 'Stringi restaurant which we liked and which is also recommended by the hotel owner. We got a bottle of wine when showing the card of the B&B. Only public parking is available. Note that you might be able to park your car within a five to ten-minute walk from the B&B, But parking is free, so that is easy. All in all we had good stay, but I found it too expensive for what we got. I would not book it again.…
