Stayed for 3 nights with friends. Rooms are spotlessly clean & well presented. Website describes rooms very well so you can avoid ones with potential noise & choose ones that suit your needs. Breakfast choice was excellent. Owners were very friendly and keen to do anything to make our stay enjoyable and rest of staff and locals were very welcoming....

It is a small inn in a place where there is virtually nothing to do. But it is in driving distance of, a.o., Edinburgh, Hadrian's wall, Alnwick castle and possibly other places in Southern Scottland and Northern England. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the staff is friendly, and all for a decent price. But the real gem...

We visited here from ruberslaw campsite after one of the campers spoke highly of the food and suggested we book. I'm so glad we did as the restaurant was full on a Wednesday evening. We had 3 courses Haggis bonbon's, roast beef with trimmings and a variety of homemade puddings all of which were excellent!! My kids loved the real...

My husband and I have visited the restaurant on several occasions when staying at our caravan in nearby Hawick and cannot recommend the Sunday carvery too highly. The meat, beef, lamb or turkey is delicious and the variety of fresh veg is great! The staff are so friendly and helpful we will return time and time again!

Our room Jedwater was comfortable, but our friends were in Yarrow next to the public entrance, very small and with a Saniflow toilet which was exremely noisy. Breakfast was good, but we didn't enjoy our meal on the first evening and drove to Jedburgh for dinner the second night as there is nothing else in Denholm.

Stayed at the Auld Cross Keys on 23 July while on a business trip in Scottish Borders. Found the hosts very good company. They were very helpful and offered advice relative to any question asked. A very good selection of Pub Grub is available on the menu. Enjoyed the smoked duck salad starter and fish main course. Great Beer Garden...

Friendly welcome, staff couldn't have been more helpful. Room clean and spacious. We thought the public rooms were bright and welcoming. Food excellent, particularly the breakfasts. Would definitely use this inn again if revisiting this area

I stayed here overnight on a recent business trip- couldnt fault the rooms, service and breakfast was simply delicious, far to much for me to eat but if you were off rambling this would set you up for the day
